I just installed Vista SP1 and am convinced that my never before seen printing problem is due to SP1 (can no longer print anything on my HP psc 1350v All-In-One printer). There are no driver updates available from HP so it would appear that backing out SP1 (or a buying new printer) are my only options. Can someone supply a link to the process for uninstalling SP1

View 4 Replies View RelatedI was browsing the internet and was going to install this one software, but noticed i clicked on the wrong button and Advance Virus Remover was installed. I looked on the control panal to uninstall it, didn't show up, so i went through and deleted all the files pertaining to the program. now, there is an icon on my tool bar that i can't click on and it blocks some of my stuff, like when i try opening a movie, saying the the "Application cannot be executed. The file is infected. Please activate your antivirus software." i ran a virus scan, got nothing. I even tried a full restore, since i just got this computer monday, and it was still there.

View 9 Replies View RelatedAll right, so I've gotten my self in one mighty big mess. I've been Dual-Booting Windows Vista Home Premium 32-bit and Linux Ubuntu 9.04 for a while now. And just today I decided I didn't want Ubuntu any more. So I loaded up in to Vista and deleted the Ubuntu partition. I then extended the Vista partition to fill up the new 70 GB of unallocated space. After running a Defrag I restarted my computer, but it still tries to load GRUB 1.5. And every time it end up getting Error 22. I can no longer access Windows and I'm on these forums thanks to a Linux Live-CD. I need a way to get rid of GRUB for good....

So I downloaded another Suit and tried to overwrite the old version with this new one. But it didn't install. So then I tried to uninstall The old Adobe suit from control panel but it would not happen. It would simply just bluff a loading mouse and then nothing would happen. Now I can not intall a new one and the old one is completely disfunctional. The message I get when I try to open a program is "The licensing subsystem has failed catastrophically. You must reinstall or call custumer support."
View 7 Replies View RelatedI want TO "un-RAID" (what's the term please? disable? split? uninstall?) so that I have 2 x 250Gb separate hard drives. (I want to try scheduled backups for a while and see how that goes.) I have tried these solutions:
a) I have looked at the software and can't find a way to disable/split/uninstall. DELETING IS UNACCEPTABLE as that wipes all data. I need to keep OS/programs/data as is.
b) I have gone into BIOS F2. Under System Setup I have tried all three RAID/IDE/AHCI. ONLY RAID works. With IDE and AHCI setting it goes to blue screen for a split second and goes back to reboot.
c) I have physically disconnected one drive. The software tells me it's STILL got RAID 1 with 2 x HDD but with "missing hard drive"

I tried uninstalling Office 2007, but I get the message: "Setup could not find any available products to install. Please contact your system administrator." If I try to reinstall using the original disc, I get the message: "Setup has stopped working." I've tried to follow the instructions at 'How to uninstall the 2007 Office system if you cannot uninstall it by using the "Add or Remove Programs" feature' (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/928218/en-us) for uninstalling without using the add/remove program, but I am unable to go to any "choose details" menu on the view tab ... it doesn't exist, so I can't continue the instructions from there. Is it possible in uninstall, and then reinstall? Would it worth my effort to give that a try. I have been using it for about a year and a half now, and it's been great.
The problem started when I installed Canon scanner software. Not sure what happened, but immediately after IE7 started acting up. It's slow as molasses and often freezes. If anyone has suggestions please, please let me know. It's driving me crazy. I did uninstall the Canon program, but evidently something is still interfering. I have also scanned with Spybot and Norton, and everything comes up fine. I want my old, fast IE7 back!

Since then I insert a disc and nothing happens, I click on Media Player 11 and it prompts me to place a disc in drive E: When I click on "My Computer" the drive is there but a red circle with a diagonal red line through it appears on top. This rouge process is listed is Services. I have managed to Disable it, however I'd like to remove entirely. I found it in the Registry, but I cannot find a way to remove it. I've done everything I know even in the Safe Mode and it will not let you delete, modify or whatever.
It has no Dependencies listed, the Service and Display names are the same "FLBPKKMMZXYZ"
When running Regedit I ran it as Admin, I tried to set permissions on the

The one thing I did do before trying to remove from it the Registry was
delete the file from AppDataLocalTemp. Could this be preventing me from
removing the Registry entry? I wouldn't think so, but it may be the first
time in my life I was wrong.
