New Email Account: New AOL E-mail Account, Clicked 'Add E-mail Account' At The Bottom Of My 'Windows Live Account'
Aug 24, 2009I have a Windows Live Mail account and a Yahoo account and they both show up on the left hand side of my Window Live Mail account so I can choose which account I want to use or, for example, which inbox to look in. At the bottom, also on the left hand side of my Windows Live Mail account, it shows 'Add e-mail account', which is what I want to do with a new 'AOL' account and I want it to show on the left hand side like the two other accounts.
So I made a new AOL e-mail account, clicked 'Add e-mail account' at the bottom of my 'Windows Live Account', then I put in my new AOL e-mail account and password where it showed me. Then I clicked next.
The next page was all about my email server. When I did this before with a new e-mail account, it was all filled out automatically for me, but this time, all the blanks were left open and I have no idea what to fill in. I believe once I have this information, the AOL e-mail account will automatically then show on the left hand pane of my Windows Live Mail account below the other two accounts.

Email Account:showing MSN Email Address
Mar 23, 2008After setting up my email account with windows mail using my talk talk email address, for some reason when I'm posting messages to your help forum, it is showing my MSN email address. What is happening here? I've checked all the info via Tools, Accounts, and it only shows my talktalk email??

I am the only person who uses my computer so I dont need this function. Is there a way to have my computer bypass this at start up and go straight to my account without having to log on? Better still I dont need accounts at all. I just want to turn the computer on and have it go straight to my desktop.

Sep 4, 2008I have a problem -- just bought a computer at SAM's Club, an HP with Windows Vista Home Premium, fresh out of the box, but when I got it home and set it all up and loaded on data from an old computer I found out it had what I believe is a hidden user account already on it. There was an email account for "Bill" somebody (I deleted that email acct and set up a new one for my wife - it's her computer), and when I try to link to this computer from mine using Windows Explorer, looking at her computer on the Network, instead of seeing the account I set up for "Julie" I still see the files listed under the user "Bill". I'm worried this guy set up some secret way to access the computer. I think probably not, but I don't know. And, even if not, I'd like to delete the "Bill" account. 2 questions ... 1) should I return this computer? Am I in danger of someone having left some kind of "backdoor" to get into the computer? If not, how do I get rid of the hidden "Bill" user account?
