Does anyone have this problem? I created an e-mail with an image, when I send the e-mail. The e-mail goes to the receiver inbox without the image or picture.
I'm in college and tried to send a message my computer asks me to enter my email address and my name then my imap or pop3 server and receiver I don't know what this stuff is! I have the same problem on craigslist when I try to reply to stuff.
I have two Vista machines, one Ultimate x64 and one Business x64 both on the same LAN. The Ultimate machine has already installed SP1 (albeit unsuccessfully) but the Business machine (which is a Dell laptop) is still not seeing any update for SP1. do I have to do to get SP1 on this machine?
I just built a new system and have a fresh copy of Vista Ultimate 64 installed. I've installed a few games and both games are giving 2 errors saying that "This application has failed to start because WINMM.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem". This pops up twice, and then the game starts and seems to work without any issues.
I just installed a new game. Immediately upon attempting to run the game I get the following error message: d3dx9_40.dll was not found. After some searching around the web it was suggested that I update DirectX. However, it appears that I am running the most recent version, DirectX 10. I am reluctant to update something that appears to be up to date.
It is true that d3dx9_40.dll is missing, but some of the suggestions I found on the web indicate that I should not merely download this dll. I am not a big gamer, just wanted to look at this game, and am reluctant to spend hours and hours reconfiguring my system, but I would like to know why I am getting this error and why DirectX 10 doesn't include d3dx9_40.dll.I apologize if this is addressed elsewhere, I looked and didn't find anything that directly addresses this question.
After installing vista sp1 standalone service pack I've noticed that the "status bar" along the bottom of internet explorer and "windows mail" is hidden by the taskbar when these apps are maximised.
I am running VISTA Ultimate. After my computer is restarted the INTERNET can't be found until I restart my LINKSYS router. I never have to restart the router when my XP computers are restarted. I am connected to the router by network cable rather than wireless. Of course when I restart my router then the VISTA computer eventually finds the INTERNET. I would rather not restart my router every time the VISTA computer is rebooted.

I downloaded a dll (Ssubtmr6.dll), placed the file in the C:WindowsSystem32 folder and then using the Run dialog, entered the command Regsvr32 "C:WindowsSystem32Ssubtmr6.dll" to register it. I get an error message stating the module failed to load and including the text "Module could not be found". I had no problem installing this on an XP machine. I'm running Vista Home Premium (64 bit) with Service Pack 1.
I have followed the email set up instructions from my internet provider and I keep coming up with the error The host 'pop-server could not be found. Protocol: POP3, Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 11003, Error Number: 0x800CCC0D. I have gone over the setup repeatedly, and the support from roadrunner told me to use outlook. Which I dont have office installed at this time.

I tried to send an *.xlsx file and noticed a window telling me "blabla...could not be send because of specials formats...something". So I converted the file into an *.xls. The same happened. Then I copied the whole thing, inserted only the numbers, not the formats and saved it as *.xls. The same mistake happened. What can I do to solve the problem. I really do need a solution because I have to send this file to my school, for I'm doing a homestudy!
I have tried several times to install Corel GuideMenu. Every time restart I get a message saying that GMTask.dll cannot be found. I have spent lots of time dealing with Corel to find a fix but they have no idea where that .dll is supposed to be (according to them it doesn't exist). I have run the program in compatibility mode and get the same message even though I installed it on our other laptop (XP) and it works fine.

the server 'cannot be found', which is ludicrous. i tried deleting and redoing the account--didn't work. i've never had this problem before, and the only thing that i've done differently since last being able to download my optonline.net mail into windows mail is i've used wifi. now i am connected by cable.

I will go along for months and windows e-mail works fine. Then one day I can't get into e-mail at all and a box pops up telling me it is use by another program. Before I can do anything else another box pops up sayin that e-mail can't be started because MSOE.DLL cannot be found. If I restart windows all is well again until the next time these boxes show up. There are no other programs running. Is there a way to fix this problem without having to completely restart?
Slow, cumbersome, unfriendly to other Windows OSes when networked, unfriendly to MS powertoys, yet still elegent in in its GUI (when it finally gets around to it) -- one might say, almost Macish.
Where is the tab/command to initialize (fdisk?) a new HDD?
I am logged in as Administrator (system says so) with full control/permission.
I can see the hard drives in the Device Manager/Disk Drives. All drives are "good" per the controller and I can see them as physical devices on the computer.
They all show as "Not Initialized" when I ask each to opopulate the Volumes info, and there is no obvious/apparent way to do it. Nothing on the controller shows it either.
Tried "Simple New Volume" under Disk Management--
doesn't/won't work because drive is not initialized.
Hi, new here. I have a sony vaio laptop that has been working perfectly up until a few days ago. I got a blue screen that said unmountable boot volume. I have a vista restore/repair disk but no sony restore disks.I'm not really sure if mine came with any? I used the vista disk and when i try to repair it it says no hard disk found as the error. Is there a way to get my computer to see the hard disk? I've tried using the command prompt but a lot of things i've tried like chkdsk aren't working or i'm not sure what they mean.
Disabling SYmantec Antivirus on my system also disabled Network! Weird.
I found a workaround, too lon gto epxlain, but there's just another reason your network might not recognized the World, even though enabled. Some kind of "threatfire" Symnantec pre-filter doesn't like to be disabled.
xxxx file could not be found. Check the spelling of the file name, and verify that the file location is correct. The file path is fixed due the email program ( Eudora ) and you can see the attachment as " available " but can not open it. The file is saved on OCULT FILES, inside of USERS.
I installed Vista Ultimate on a machine that came with Home Edition Premium. I thought that the system would automatically join the network domain, but nothing happened. I found an option called Network Discovery, click the On option and the Apply button, but it change didn't take affect.
I did learn that I have a delete folder for the deleted e-mail, now no matter what I do I cannot delete the mail from the folder. My pc has been running very slow, and I think that could be the problem.
