I'm currently having loads of problems with windows mail. I was having the password problem that has appeared on the community many times, tried the fixes posted but none worked (I stopped short of starting all over again). The password problem has stopped, but I am now getting the error message.

For help solving this problem, go to Help, search for "Troubleshoot Windows Mail", and read the "I'm having problems sending e-mail" section. I have recently added another identity to my server and was told to put the incoming pop3 as pop3.xtra.co.nz port 995 and the outgoing SMTP as send.xtra.co.nz (use 554?) port 465 and enable SMTP server authentication. I put the pop3 and SMTP info in and forgot to enter the different ports, voila i got my mail but couldnt send any. So i went in and put the ports in, voila couldnt send or receive. Have put the ports back to default and now get my mail again but when i send get this message: The connection to the server has failed. I have this problem with Vista64. After every updates from M$ I get this error: The file /windows/system32/hall.dll is broken and the error number 0xc00000e9. If I am a standard user I would have no chance to recover it. Sometimes it helps to put the install dvd in the drive and wait what happens. But sometimes I must recover this file directly from DVD with another computer and copy it to my system. Finally after approx. 2 hours of playing my system alives, but with the fear what the future brings. Has anybody same problem? If yes how do you solve it?

I have tried sending on a different computer and get the same message, so it cant be a computer problem. I have windows vista.
