Windows Mail The ONLY Default Newsreader Called By Outlook

May 11, 2008

Vista Home Premium SP1, Outlook 2007.

The Go-News menu function in Outlook 2007 on Vista Home Premium SP1 will NOT call any other newsreader other than Windows Mail, even when the other news reader is set as default.(Ie it opens when external news links are clicked). This is in direct contradiction to Outlook 2007 on XP.

Any Version Of Agent Mail.ru.?

Mar 26, 2008

1. Installing Cumulative Security Update for Internet Explorer (944533) stops IE7 (in Windows Vista x64 Ultimate) from showing web pages. Uninstalling the Cumulative Security Update for Internet Explorer (944533) resumes IE7 showing web pages.

2. Any version of Agent mail.ru. I checked everything the Agent mail.ru support suggested. The support does not know what to suggest any more.

I have located the file on my external hard drive and have tried to delete it manually (using right click from the mouse). Apparently the file is successfully deleted but when I go back into the folder it has re-appeared.
