View 6 Replies"Windows cannot access specified device path or file...." I read every thread on this error message and none of them apply to my situation. It has nothing to do with my settings in users or regedit. They are all correct, and by all accounts I should be in full control.
My Computer, Control Panel, IEx64, and documents are the only things I can access. I'm locked out of everything else. Every program, process and download has this same error message. Even my Flash is disabled. I can "run as administrator" and change settings all I want, it still has this message.
I've attempted to run antivirus and registry fixes from an external device and it won't do that either. System Restore doesn't work, and I don't have the resources to reformat. I have had a blue screen once, but it seems to be stable now. The weirdest part is when the problem started. The day it happened, it was working perfectly fine. I shut it down, and came back later that day to use it, and it was like this all of a sudden. No one has access to it but me.
I recently exported all my mail from Windows mail, re-installed Windows, then imported my mail back in again, along with my account info and contacts. Everything has seemed fine, however approximately one in every 20-50 emails has a strange problem. The subject line will show a subject and sender, however the content pane will show a comletely different email, an email from a different sender and on a diferent date.
1. I might receive an email with a certain sender and subject on the 2nd of Oct 2009.
2. Click on the subject and see different email content from a different sender in the content pane.
3. Check the email headers with the subject selected (Ctrl+F3) and see the headers show it is from the person in the content pane and was sent on the 1st of Oct 2009.

View 5 Replies View RelatedIs it possible with Windows Mail to used colored text in the SUBJECT line? If so, how is it done? I know how to change the background of the email into over 16 million colors, but what about the text in the SUBJECT line?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI'm running Vista and I have Windows Mail. Windows Mail is filtering out Spam that has nothing in the Subject Line (blank). But - it puts it in my Junk Mail folder and when I'm away for a week or so, this spam builds up (in the 100's). I need to find a way to create a Rule that 'Deletes' it from the Server, so that it never reaches my email.......
