PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA + Winload.exe

Jun 11, 2009

My computer (Toshiba Satilite, VISTA HOME PREMIUM 32bit.) has crashed recently. It crashed then I restarted it. And it said.
Winload.exe is missing or corrupt". I tried reseting to factory defaultsbut it didn't work. Soon after that, I changed my BIOS settings and put the cd drive at the top and inserted my Windows Vista Home Premium
Installation Disk. After that I got, PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA. It was a blue screen thing. I tried many commands in the repair promt
bootrec.exe /fixmbr
bootrec.exe /fixboot, but they didn't help any. I've been looking around and I have found things like it may be a bad stick of ram or my hard drive. I'm not sure which one.

Winload.exe Missing?

May 8, 2009

I got the error a lot of people got that says windows has failed to start because winload was missing or corrupt. however If I try to run the repair disc while its loading files it freezes then gives me a blue screen. I have tried this several times over with no success. I have tried the same hard drive on a different computer and that renders that computer unbootable too (but without winloader error message) both computers boot fine with a different hard drive when the faulty hard drive is not plugged in (internally -sata) my faulty hard drive is a maxtor, my functioning one is a seagate barracuda. access the data on the faulty hard drive, its very valuable (sentimentally speaking) it would be a bonus to be able to boot it but i at least want to access and backup that data.I have even tried plugging the hard drive in while im already booted into vista, and then it crashes

Winload.exe Missing Or Corrupt?

Dec 31, 2009

LOng story short, I had to restore last night due to what seemed like a video driver problem. I restored, back a couple weeks and it fixed my video issue. It then did the automatic windows updates, including SP1, which I thought was odd, but I went with it. After the download & update the system rebooted...and then it all went downhill. I actually got another error message which I can't recall at the moment, but it was a black screen not a blue.... I then broke out my original windows recovery discs, rebooted and it went directly to the recovery options and screens as I was expecting. The first disc ran fine, backing up files, blah blah.....it said to reboot...and then THIS stuff started.......

Winload.exe: Completly Black When It Came To Log In Everytime

Aug 28, 2009

my computer has been to alot last three days. First I came home, turned on the computer, and zomg! Blue screen at log in. That freaked me out. I tried restarting it, but the screen was just completly black when it came to log in everytime. So I then started trying to fix it. Did all sorts of checks, but nothing worked. Ended up reinstalling vista, but keeping my old files. Then it worked for an hour or so. Next morning, when I started it, this came up: "File:Windows/system32/winload.exe It couldn't be loaded because it's missing or is broken". It says I should put the vista installation disc inside, then repair it, but it doesn't "notice" that I've put the cd inside. It doesnt seem like it's being detected.

Winload.exe Was Missing Or Corrupt After Updates

Jun 9, 2008

I'm using Vista home premium 32 bit, and it automatically installed an update from microsoft. It then asked me to restart the computer, which I did, but when I did, it wouldn't load again because it said that "winload.exe was missing or corrupt". It then asked me to use the installation cd to restore it, but Vista came preinstalled, so I don't have the CD. How can I fix this? I can't even load to safe mode to restore to a restore point....

64 & 32 Duel Boot Gives Error Message : Winload.exe Could Not Find

Mar 23, 2008

I had an Vista 32 bit version installed and which was used fine.3 days before I had upgrade my PC's memory to 4G, then I find Vista 32 Bit version can not recognize all the memory. So I try to install an Vista 64 Bit version for the test to check if the 64 bit system is ok for me.

The problem is, Vista 32 was installed on to the 3rd partition of the harddisk, usually the drive letter will be E in Windows XP and previous version windows, although it in Vista it display as C drive. I tried to install the 64 Bit Vista in to the 4th partiton. After all the drivers and applications install completed, that seems so far so good. Then I find my previous F drive now names C. The Drive C in Vista 32 Bit names E now. When
I try to boot into Vista 32, the error message : winload.exe could not find.

I used bcdedit try to redirect the device and osdevice to E drive, Vista 32 still could not start normally, the system will hang up in the blue desktop background, seems can not load user profile or sth like that.

I have check the E drive, all the files of Vista 32 are still there.
