View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a desktop that I upgraded from XP Pro to Vista Ultimate and a laptop running on Windows XP Pro. I recently upgraded both devices from Office 2003 to Office 2007. Before I upgraded the desktop to Vista, I copy the Outlook.pst back and forth the two machines to synchronize my e-mail. Now that the desktop is running on Vista and the laptop still running XP Pro, can I do the same thing to synchronize my e-mail or is there a better solution in synchronizing the pst files.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to set up Windows Mail and Outlook 2007 to use an email box in a new website. I have two email boxes with different passwords on the same site. The first account in Windows Mail worked... but the second, set up the same way, will not. I get repeated Windows Security dialog boxes with "verify user name and password" until I cancel the dialog which returns the following error:
Account: 'mail.mysite.org (1)', Server: 'mail.mysite.org', Protocol: POP3,
Server Response: '-ERR authorization failed', Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No,
Server Error: 0x800CCC90, Error Number: 0x800CCC92
I'm using Vista 64-bit which has always been exceedingly careful about what programs it will allow to run... but the places to adjust that are obscure. Is the problem in Vista-64 security setting? Turning off the Norton Internet security makes no difference. If I import the one account that works in Windows Mail into Outlook 2007 (and check that all of the settings are correct) it doesn't work in Outlook. The same endless Security dialog occurs.
I am trying to scan to outlook 2007 from Lexmark F4270 - i receive the following message and cannot find any way to set the mail to protocol - the option to change any options does not exist. I have searched many forums but have hit a wall - I have downloaded and installed the vista drivers for the printer and all works except for this scan to outlook error which is: "THE COMMAND LINE ARGUMENT IS NOT VALID. VERIFY THE SWITCH YOU ARE USING".

I have Vista Home Premium and a brand new Dell Laptop. I've just bought Office Ultimate 2007. Everytime I open outlook or try to take any action, I get "please wait while windows configures microsoft office ultimate 2007". it takes a good while before it goes away. View 9 Replies View RelatedI have a Dell Laptop with Windows Vista Ultimate (32 Bit OS) and I have Office 2007 Enterpris edition installed. I had my work email (Exchange Server) configured within my outlook and it worked fine until lastweek. It just stopped working and I thought I'll try and reset outlook and try and re-configure but then everything went really wrong.
I deleted all the Pst and ost files, deleted the old profile and created a new one.I configured a new profile and configured the exchange server settings and tried to start outlook but now it only gives me an error saying .... "cannot open default email folder. you must connect to microsoft exchange with current profile before you can synchronize with your offline folder file".. (see the screenshots)................
I bought a new computer running Vista Home Prem x64 SP1 and installed Outlook 2007. My older computer (XP x32 SP2) has Outlook 2003. Both computers are connected in a home network. All my emails and address book are in Outlook 2003 outlook.pst file. How do I bring that outlook.pst (2003) into Outlook 2007, so that I could have all my emails and address book in Outlook 2007? Right now in my Outlook 2007 my address book is practically blank.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI saw a post on here about Outlook 2007 causing WordPerfect X3 to crash. I had the same problem with WP X3 and Vista Business 32 bit. I upgraded to WP X4 and the problem continued. I did a clean install of Vista Business x64 and all programs. The problem continues. If I read e-mail in Outlook, WP becomes unstable and crashes if I open a new blank document or close the last open document.

Does that mean I will have two copies of every thing one in the GMails Browser and another in my Hard Drive?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have been using Microsoft Outlook 2007 for about two weeks everything was working fine. I have not change the way I used this program. I have used Microsoft Outlook 2002 for a few years so I had no real problems until recently. I save many of the e-mails I receive in either text or HTML format with no problem. When I save an e-mail now in
either text or HTML now, a folder is automatically created with the same name I have created the e-mail I have created. The e-mail which I save is not saved in the folder which automatically appears. What is in the folder are three files: colorschememapping, filelist, and themedata. If after I save the file then go back and delete the folder with the same name as the file, both the folder and the e-mail which I saved are
deleted. I do not know what is going on. Now my computer is getting filled up with e-mail messages I want to keep and folders that I really do not want. Does anyone have a solution to this problem? I am aboutready to pull my hair out.
i haved a new laptop running Vista Home SP1. I Have installed Office 2007 - also fully patched. After about an hour, if I try to open Outlook 2007 nothing happens. and i have to reboot.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI am using Windows 7 and every time I try to open Outlook 2007 (and sometimes some of the other office programs), it will only open up half way? Inasmuch as it opens to the full width from side to side but I always have to resize it for the height as in top to bottom. This has happened with a few programs but some of these seem to have sorted themselves out but most definately not Office 2007! It's really weird and I am getting fed up with having to keep opening the program up manually, to get it showing fully on the monitor. I don't like it opened maximised (as in no edges to the opened program) as I like it to show the edges, so that the transparency on the edges and rounded corners show when fully opened. It may be a bug but being a bit of a 'divvy' with things like this
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have 2 accounts on my laptop running Vista Home Premium and Office 2007. One for me and one for my wife. Currently she can't see any email received using my account. The goal is to see all email messages both for her and me. Data files were stored in different locations C:Users<me>...Outlook.pst and C:Users<wife>...Outlook.pst. Well we couldn't see inbox of each other while we are sharing the same email address. I wanted to add her data file to my Personal Folders and my data file to her respectively. When I try to add the data file I've got the error: "The file C:Users<wife>...Outlook .pst cannot be opened". I check that I do have Full permissions for this file.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI have a problem within Outlook 2007 when ever I try and search through my emails. Whenever I perform a search of any of my mail folders, I get no results and a message saying 'Search results may be incomplete because items are still being indexed. Click here for more details'. When I click for more details, I receive a message saying 'Outlook is currently indexing your items'. And telling me that 7695 items are reminaing in personal folders, and 17987 items are remaining across all open mailboxes. The problem is that this number never goes down, and has been like this ever since I started using the program. Could it be that the indexing is stuck
somehow?
When trying to send my POP3 email from Outlook 2007 from hotels using my new laptop running Vista Ultimate and Office 2007, I always get errors sending messages, and have to get the outgoing mail server info from the hotel. I never had to do this when I was using XP Pro and Office 2003. Is there a setting that can be changed so I do not have to go through this all the time?

I can live with the meeting request opening in day mode but can anyone tell me how to prevent it from changing my default calendar view?
I have a question about Outlook 2007 & hotmail. I am running Vista 32 bit Ultimate on my desktop & XP on my laptop. On the desktop when I set up a new account in Oulook 2007 from hotmail, all my folders in the hotmail account come into Outlook but they are empty. My inbox, sent and delete folders do work but all the ones I created in hotmail are empty. When I log into hotmail via the internet they are there and have archived emails in them. On my XP laptop all of the folders are there & have emails but I use Outlook 2003. One more piece of input I also have a @msn.com account & all the folders created in that one come over to Outlook 2007 and have emails in them.

View 6 Replies View RelatedAn upgrade of Windows Vista Ultimate Edition to Service Pack 1 (Vista SP1) caused Outlook 2007 to break. The problem was repeatable, and we cured the problem by UNINSTALLING Vista SP1. Clearly this is not a long term solution, but there is a conspicuous BUG that needs to be fixed. Background: We use Outlook 2007 to connect to a Microsoft Exchange Server. When you are browsing your mail folders while connected to the Server online, Outlook apparently does a TCP/IP transaction with the server as you click each folder in the Mail Folders avigation Pane. After the upgrade to Vista SP1, Outlook began to hang forever at the instant one clicked a new folder in the mail folder list. An information dialog box would pop up saying "Attempting to contact server xxx.xxxxx.xxx", and the cursor would change to the rotating "in progress" circle. This process would never end until one manually closed Outlook.
A typical event log error message looked like this: "The program OUTLOOK.EXE version 12.0.6300.5000 stopped interacting with Windows and was closed. To see if more information about the problem is available, check the problem history in the Problem Reports and Solutions control panel. Process ID: 16f0 Start Time: 01c8c513f5615fe3 Termination Time: 0" With further experimentation, we discovered that WHILE Outlook is hung, waiting for the server tranaction that never occurs, if one DISABLES the specific Internet adapter in use, and then RE-ENABLES it (using the Network Connections window), the server transaction completes and Outlook unhangs. This behavior was repeatable, and persisted even when (1) all COM add-ins were disabled, and (2) Outlook was run in Safe Mode, and (3) when different Ethernet adapters were used. A complete uninstall of Windows Vista Service Pack 1 cured the problem.
In outlook 2007, I installed a calendar from my hotmail account, and I would like to remove it from outlook all together now. When I right click on the calendar to delete it (in the navigation pane), the menu option to delete the calendar is greyed out and it won't allow me to delete it. I did have a third calendar on there as well, but it allowed me to delete that one with no trouble. How can I delete that 2nd calendar file?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI am having two problems with attachments and would welcome any advice as to how to solve. These pertain to Windows Mail and MSOffice running with Vista Home Premium SP1 64-bit. 1) When I receive an email message in Windows Mail with an Office document attached and I double-click the attachment, the appropriate program (Word, Excel, whatever) will open, and then I get an error message that Office cannot find the document I am trying to open. If I go back to the email and double-click on it a second time, it will open normally. How do I get it to open the first time?
2) When I compose a message in Windows Mail and attempt to attach an open MSOffice document that I have saved, Windows Mail will not send the attachment with the message. If I close the document, it will attach and I can send it. For example, I write a document, I save it to my documents folder, I compose a Windows Mail message and attempt to attach the document from the documents folder. It appears to have attached but when I hit "send" I get an error message that says the attachment cannot be sent with the message (and if I continue and send it, the attachment doesn't go). If I close the document in MSOffice and attempt again to attach the saved document from the documents folder it works fine.
i have a brand new HP Pavilion Slimline s3542.uk Desktop PC that seems to be working fine but I cannot download my emails into office outlook 2007 or get my NOD32 anti virus to update. My internet access is fine either wireless or hard wired directly to the router and my old XP PC works fine on the same connection. I have tried disabling the windows firewall and router firewall and also the anti virus, i have tried installing a different anti virus (avg) but all to no avail. Operating system is vista home premium 64 bit. Windows update is up to date.
