finally got my little yellow envelope today with my software for using the widows feedback program for 3 months... Another version of Windows Ultimate...both the 32 and 64 bit DVD... at least it was free.. funny thing..... the sleeves each have a unique product key... unlike the retail version I bought...
I finally got SP1 for Vista to show up. I am going to run a registry clean up and defrag the hard drive and then install it. If I have problems like I did the last time (SP1 made my system slow to a crawl) then I will scream.
View 9 Replies View Relatedafter downloading spybot s&d i ran it with brilliant results, it cleared my laptop apart from two entries (win32.fraudload.edt)it said after a restart it should clear these,but said after being restarted it couldn't due to these files being still in use(eg memory),they don't seem to be affecting my laptop but what do i know,i mean does anyone know what they are,what are they doing, and how to get rid of them,i'm on windows vista basic ultimate 64, after a restart it takes about two hours to try and get rid of them but to no avail and i've tried about six times.

I have windows vista premium home edition and am trying to install the update 8.0 for AVG antivirus....... it is telling me my windows vista operating system is not fully up to date and tghe KB929547 vista patch is not present. it says to exit and install the patch first and showsWindows Vista 32bit Windows Vista 64 bit where do I look to see if I would be 32 or 64?? I don't think I have either, am I right?

Don't know the reason, I don't recall having changed anything myself. Then I tried to find the reason, and when I went back to the themes, etc., I was able to get back the color but then I notice that the lettering and the graphics is somwaht changed, maybe more modern or streamlined. Has there been an update to Vista Ultimate, what I have, that is causing this?

According to my computer no updates available however updates were last installed on 03/13/08 and yet when you look at installed updates it shows a windows defender update installed today. I have been reading several posts on this problem and have noticed that Carey Frisch posted a link to troubleshoot and now here is a problem and that is none of these apply to me... Once again Go figure!! Running Vista Business 32bit here in the good old USA and of course the English versionVista is and has always been updated right on schedule....

It is available but most all files don't present a "summary" tab as was available in XP. In Vista SP1 how does one access the function to save a comment about the file .- I copied most of my files from the old desktop where most/many had the comments even *.pdf files.
