Blue Screen Of Death At Random Times

Aug 16, 2009

Been getting the dreaded blue screen of death seemingly at random times. Might happen once today, nothing for a week, then 3 times in an hour. This always seems to occur when surfing the net, at least it has never happened when I'm doing non-internet-related activities anyway. No new hardware that I haven't used before so I have no clue what prompted the sudden changes. The error screen says: IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL : Stop:0x0000000A (0x00000010,0x0000001B,0x00000001,0x821BCFF9).................

Different Blue Screens:Look Like Blue Screen Appears When To Much Action Is Going On Like Opening Of IE And Outlook

Feb 13, 2009

Problem Blue Screen. No new hardware or software installed recently, last Windows vista update was on 01/15. When I start first, PC passes user registration (boots fine) and
does the normal stuff like loading software and starting the wireless internet connection via Netgear, opening some windows/programms I will close. All normal, but than comes a Blue Screen and very fast shut down of system with restart. Hardly can read the message...Look like Blue Screen appears when to much action is going on like opening of IE and Outlook... or open to many windows... or some bad programm/hardware is booting. But when I restart, restart gives a different blue screens and trouble is much earlier or directly after registering to the system.

But all starting or booting turn slower, real slow now. Start in --safe mode with net working-- the PC works, but the PC can't handle heavy workloads, is really slow in action. I cannot open --My pictures-- to see all picture files displyed on screen (2.7 GB) (the process trying to access the files in safe mode is real slow) and when I attempt to transfer the file to a USB stick, the computer is stopping in middle of action (after 50% transfer)..........

Blue Screens Of Death /restart

May 5, 2009

Now I've had this for, i kid you not, less than a day, and blue screens of death/restarts keep occuring. I have norton 360 running and updated, updated my graphics driver for my 9400, updated everything I could through windows update, and still this problem presists. Sometimes, the blue screen will just briefly flash, then restart and it gives me the option of choosing if i want to go into safe mode or not. Also, i changed some setting on my internet connection, through cmd.exe, i changed everything this video told me to When i attempted to go back and reverse it, it said that elevation was required and the command failed on ipv4.

The blue screens have varied in what they say, they always dump my physical memory so i never get a chance to fully read them. However, they have said all of the following. MEMORY MANAGEMENT Something about a bad page file And a few more i cant remember Right now, my pc runs fine for a while, but most of the time when i boot it up, it says rundll32 has encountered a problem and must close. Sometimes this forces a blue screen to appear sometimes it doesn't. I also thought it may have been heat, but i was runnining my computer fine for 15 hours straight or so when i got it and it was ok, but then showed a blue screen of death for memory management. Currently, it runs in this strange windows 98 style, the icons, toolbar, start menu, everything is windows 98 looking. Also, it displays a rundll32 error and somestimes a windows process error everytime i start up. I ran a memory diagnostic and it said there were no problems.

Blue Screen Of Death: Death Postings On The Net

May 23, 2009

there are many ndis.sys Blue Screen of Death postings on the net, but none of them seem to suggest that it is solved. Can it be solved? Or can someone point to a solution? the blue screen shows DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL and I am using an onboard LAN card by Intel, with IRQ -3 (minus 3), the model is 82562-V2 10/100 It is on Vista SP1, with every possible upgrade installed.

Blue Screen Of Death ..

Dec 31, 2008

It has become a routine. This dreaded screen (which I've never seen during my seven years with Windows XP) has poped up several times.

Is there a way to see what causes the problem. I was denied access to some mini dumps.

Crash! Blue Screen Of Death

Sep 20, 2009

Vista suddenly would not boot yesterday. Getting BS of Death errors: c000021a and c000012f at times. First it reported it was unable to find ADVAPI32.DLL. Upon doing diagnostics after hitting F8 during startup, it says error code 2000-0146 with Hard Drive 1. What the heck is going on, and how do I fix this? Dell Inspiron 1525, manufactured 7/2008. Of course, warranty ran out...go figure. Vista Home Premium. Will *never* buy another Dell again. Nothing but problems with every one of them.

I don't know much about Vista and have failed to locate the problem. A really interesting thing is, the crash happens everytime I try to upload something somewhere, like an email attachment or to uploadsites like uploadr. Even if uploaded, the files are always corrupted.

It seems to happen with the most recent version of Firefox -3.08 But I'm not sure. Is this likely software, hardware, power variance, what?

Sigh, Blue Screen Of Death

Dec 21, 2008

so I built my new computer about a week ago, and I'm having a BSOD problem. It seems to happen randomly, but one thing for sure sets it off is when I'm using uTorrent, or any other bittorrent program. This isn't the only cause, but it's defintely one of them. I know because I can reboot and leave my comp alone and it'll be fine for hours, but if I just run utorrent, it'll BSOD after 10-20mins.

The BSOD problem is "IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL." From what I know this is caused by a Driver issue (that's why i'm posting it in the Drivers forum.) However, i've updated EVERY driver to the latest and it's still happening. I've done windows update, latest bios, latest motherboard drivers (located here TinyURL.com - shorten that long URL into a Tiny URL ), sound card driver, video card driver (running a GTX 260), VIA V-Raid driver, and keyboard+mouse driver. I don't know what else to update. I even downloaded a program called Driver Genius Professional to find anything missing, but still nope.

Also, I downloaded memtest86 to make sure my ram is all good, and it passed with no errors. I'm so f*cking frustrated by this. Someone told me I need to make sure my "IRQLs" are the same, but I have no idea what that is or how I fix it. I formatted my harddrive before I put it in my new comp, so there isn't any lingering files that could be causing this.

Blue Screen Of Death: Driver_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL

Jun 26, 2009

I have recently been getting the BSOD appearing with no rhyme or reason I can discern. The first error line that shows up is Driver_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL. I have read differing advice on how to fix this, but I haven't recently installed any programs and haven't changed anything to do with my drivers.

Blue Screen Of Death And Cd Drive

Oct 19, 2009

I'm running Vista Home Premium x64. Yesterday i installed SP2 and after the reboot from that i realised i had the Relevant Knowledge spyware on my startup. I managed to restart in safe mode and removed the relevant knowledge from startup on msconfig and uninstalled it as a program. Following another reboot i noticed that my TV tuner and audio drivers were no longer recognised in the device manager, i also ran a spybot search and destroy to remove any remnants of the relevant knowledge. I guessed that the service pack had probably stopped the tv driver working (as this had happened in the past) so i uninstalled the SP 2.

Following the reboot i got the blue screen of death, but was able to boot from my Vista CD to repair windows, this went through a series of checks but found no memory problems, following yet another reboot i got taken to the system startup and chose to boot into safe mode just to make sure, this was unsuccessful. Things have gone from bad to worse, my cd drive is connected by USB and this is no longer recognised so i cant even boot from cd, and no matter how i choose to start the computer (safe mode, with networking, command prompt, last known good config) the computer just restarts and brings me back to the same screen. I know that this is not good, but would prefer to try and fix myself rather than pay to have it done, any solutions?

Blue Screen Of DEATH, Boots Back Up

Jul 6, 2008

I guess you can't call it the Blue Screen of Death anymore as at least it collects data and reports the problem and boots back up (or does it?). I've had a total of 3 of these screens and am wondering how I can view what took place and possibly find out if there are any steps I can take to prevent the same thing from happening? Is anyone else experiencing this? I couldn't find anything in search function on several bases.

Blue Screen Of Death: Backup Broken

Backup is broken and doesn't offer any settings for advanced users. It returned only 0800xxxx errors on me, no matter what I tried (sheduled backup, fresh backup, etc). My filesystem was OK, and I didn't have any extra users (and removed them, leaving some registry settings) on the system (which was a known problem).

- My RAID1 kept failing (and rebuilding). To be honest: This could be an ASUS P5K-E problem (my motherboard), I am not sure.

- System freezes. Power down was the only way out. (Which means a RAID1 rebuild)

- When I run Windows Update, I see an update for my LANdriver. If I try to install it, my system freezes. This is a driver delivered via.....

Online Movie: Blue Screen Of Death

Nov 1, 2009

I installed an imaging software program that was supposed to support 64-bit, but shortly thereafter I got the black SoD. I quickly uninstalled, then went into the device manager and removed the driver for it. The computer ran fine for a day or so, even including a restart or two. Then this morning I was watching an online movie and it went to the blue screen of death, the only thing I caught of the code was 0000000001e, then it shut down. Vista 64-bit home premium was pre-installed, so I put in the reinstall version of Vista, but can't boot to it. The computer turns on to the black screen of death, but no cursor. The computer is running, and the cd even spins when I hold escape, but it will not boot into windows. I have tried F-8, along with every other F as well (and some of my own too!), but nothing is working.

It did boot to my windows normally one time in the middle of all of my attempts, and instead of doing a system restore (which looks like a much better choice in retrospect), I was just going to restore my entire system from an image (Acronis) using their boot disc, but unfortunately it said I needed to restart my system in order for the image to be put in place of my current image, which I clicked 'ok'....then about 1/1000 of a second later realized that wasn't the smartest thing I'd ever done, because it probably won't boot back up again.

A clock interrupt was not received on a secondary processor within the allocated time interval. If this is the first time you've seen this stop error screen, restart your computer. If this screen appears again, follow these steps:
