Researching SP3 for my XP Pro system. Release notes warn of uninstall issues for IE7 after SP3 install. Is this an IE8 concern?Does SP3 alleviate Windows Update? Can anyone point me to a list of issues / problems uncovered so far?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI was having problems with my computer and a BSOD that pointed to my hd. I decided to reinstall XP but then decided to try a repair first. The repair seems to work to an extent as pc starts fine now and seems to load normally etc. However upon starting I noticed the desktop had reverted back to default, my programs weren't listed in the start menu and favorites were gone. I was guessing that it wiped my hd like I had done a re-install. So I went to copy some of my backed up files but when I went into My Computer I see that all my files are still there under C:Documents&SettingsOwner like before. But also under Documents & Settings are these folders now.
