Push F10 Have Not Pushed Anything

Feb 18, 2008

My sister is having so many problems due to just downloading anything that moves off of the internet and is wanting to just have a fresh start. When I boot up her computer. It gives me the options of f1=setup f10=system recovery.I want f10 but it will not allow me to access that.I push f10 and it just proceeds like I haven't pushed anything.I figure that it's the keyboard but I switched hers with mine and some others I had laying around and still no good.Basically I want to know if there was/is a way I could do a system recovery in command prompt or in a .bat file of some sort? Or if anyone else has any suggestions feel free to post.

Startup Screen Tells To Push F2 / Doesn't Can't Access BIOS

Oct 24, 2007

I'm Currently Dual-booting between Windows XP and Fedora Core 5 on my laptop. I no longer want FC5 so I thought I would format that partition to regain my hard drive space. I thought the easiest way to do that would be to boot from my windows CD, but discovered that my System won't do that anymore (I know it used to, because thats how I installed FC5 in the first place). It won't boot from my FC5 cd's either. So I tried to access the BIOS to see what's going on, but for some reason I can't. The startup screen tells me to push F2 but that doesn't work.
