Deactivate Win 7 Upgrade Product Key
I have installed Windows 7 with upgrade media and activated with the supplied key. Unfortunately, this computer will not last much longer, and I will be replacing soon. Is it possible for me to deactivate my product key so I can install it on my replacement, or am I just out of a lot of money?

Activate Win 7 Upgrade Using XP Product Key
I am interested in Windows 7 and I am currently running the Windows 7 release candidate. I have in my possession a Windows XP Pro product key. It is not activated on my current computer, due to the fact that it's OEM, and previously activated on an older computer that got fried. If I were to purchace a Windows 7 upgrade package, would I be able to activate it using my XP product key? or would I have to purchase a 'full' version of Windows 7?

Can I Use OEM Win 7 HP Product Key To Install 64-bit OS Off Of Retail Disc ?
I purchased in June a new computer from Dell with a free upgrade to Windows 7. Â I wanted 64-bit but was not given the option. Â I received my 32-bit upgrade disc from Dell. My brother purchased a retail upgrade and so he has both 32-bit and 64-bit upgrade discs. Â I know that I must do a clean install. Â I want to know if I can use his 64-bit disc to run my install but then use my upgrade key from Dell. So in the end I have 64-bit OS using my product key that Dell gave me.

Upgrade From Win XP / Vista To Win7: Product Key Language Version
We currently run 3 PCs at home (all 32 bit): PC 1: German Windows Vista Home Premium PC 2 & 3: English Windows XP Home I'd like to purchase the Windows 7 family pack (English) to upgrade all of the PCs (clean install preferred). Questions: 1. Can all 3 PCs be upgraded to the English version of Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit with the family pack, despite the different language versions? 2. When performing a clean install, is it sufficient to enter the product key of the previously installed system when using the upgrade disk/key or is the old system required on the harddisk? 3. Just to confirm: The family pack comes with both, the 32 bit and 64 bit version for Windows 7 Home Premium?

Valid License Key With No Access To Media
My company just purchased a new Compaq tower yesterday that came with Windows 7 Home Premium, but the network is still XP pro and so IT used their volume license to format/reinstall the system. I spoke with my boss and he approved me to take the 7 Home Premium license key for my home Compaq laptop because by the time they upgrade to 7 they would use volume licensing for pro anyway, but then when I spoke with IT he said that the system didn't come with any media. Is there any way to get Windows 7 Home Premium Media, or to use the system recovery partition from the desktop to create media that I could then use to perform a fresh install of Windows 7 on my home computer? And is it even legal to do so?

Product Key Error - Invalid Key For This Version Of Windows
Just successfully installed Win 7(RC) on a partition I created on a Vista(32-bit) Home Premium machine,so now I've set up a dual-boot. Anyways,as I am going to enter the product key that was given with my download it's giving me an "invalid key for this version of Windows" error. And along the process of identifying the cause,I realized I've installed a "Home Premium" version of the RC download;is this how it's supposed to be? This RC,a Home Premium version? Just want to verify because on the Computer's property page it's saying it's only a "30-day eval copy". How am I going to get another product key for this version of th RC?For what I've read through forums, this RC is supposed to be an Ultimate version? Anybody?

Will Product Key For Win 7 64 Bit Business Upgrade Work With 32 Bit Install
I purchased several copies of Windows7 including the upgrade offer deal from Microsoft for Business. The upgrade CD came as a 64 bit which I will eventually install on my machine, but for the next several months I need to run 32 bit (legacy software which we are phasing out). Will the product key for the the 64 bit upgrade work with 32 bit install (I have a 32 bit Business which I have already installed on a different machine with its own product key).

Product Key Does Not Match
I am loading windows7 64bit basic on an atom PC with a solid state drive. Getting a message "product key does not match current windows sku" at the end of the install. This is my 2nd attempt to load windows7 basic on this PC. I have downloaded the ISO from MSDN, used IMGBURN to burn the DVD. Used two different dvd drives. Get the same invalid product key message each time. I was able to load another PC with Windows7 from this same DVD. The difference being I loaded 64bit Windows7 ultimate. Another difference is I am using a USB dvd drive to load the Atom PC. I have tried 2 different product keys issued from the MSDN site. Each time I do the install I delete existing partitions. why is my product key not being accepted?Â

Acquiring New Product Key
" Meanwhile, RC's downloads are still available. You can get the release candidate download until August 20, 2009. After that, you won't be able to get the download, but if you have the software, you can still install the RC and get a key if you need one. (Keys will be available till March 2010. To get a key, just go to the Downloads page and follow the instructions.) "This from " Microsoft (Microsoft@newsletters.microsoft.com) Sent:29 July 2009 02:48:54 I ran the beta, and then the release candidate 7100, from April or May '09.The x64 Ultimate, But during November I started getting repeated Shutdown & restarts, and Blue Screens, and eventually traced the problems to my MB's USB Controller. On 31/12/2009, I bought a cheap BCS MB with an AMD Athlon 3200+ pre-installed (the same processor that was in my original 2004 box!); and rebuilt, using my old memory, PSU, Hard drives and PCI Cards etc. I couldn't find my original disk on which I had written my code no.; so I installed Vista x64, found my original ISO on my USB backup drive, burnt it, reformatted and re-installed RC 7100.Everthing is working fine. Better than my original installation.   My son will be getting a bunch of Win7 Ultimates in March, and I would like to keep this OS running until then. Can you point me to where the promised activation keys are held, otherwise I will have to get "Windows 7 HomePremium".
