Black Screen Installation On Xp Samsung Nc10 Netbook
Windows 7 successfully installed on my netbook and I continued to download software. Some software required restart so I restarted the netbook. When It rebooted I noticed the xp loading bar b4 it brought me to the windows 7 login in screen. I typed in my password as normal but when it entered windows seven there was a black screen with windows build on the rh corner. I am operating windows 7 on safe mode but the normal windows seven will not work. I have tried altering settings on msconfig.exe but i have found no solution.Should I reinstall the windows 7 or is there an alternative solution?

Samsung F1 Drive Install Issue
Existing Setup Abit IN9 32-Max, 2gig OCZ, E6300, WD 250g, Windows 7 v7264 x32 NO issues, everything runs fine. Removed WD 250g and switched to Samsung F1 Spinpoint 750g drive (which is essentially my old gamming system running on xp). Cannot install Windows 7, regardless of version, locks halfway through install. Hard reset and Drive is no longer detected. I experienced this same issue back when I had the gaming system and the only way to fix it was to disable Command Qeueing ( which was recommended by users with same issue ). The problem seems to be with the nvidia chipset ( in this case 6) not playing nice with some Samsung drives. However, I was able to install XP and of course disable this option. PC then ran fine for a year, no lockups. Basically same system, but will not allow Windows 7 to install. Ive tried different sata ports, different partitions, different Windows 7 versions, different bios settings... Always locks halfway through.

Samsung BlackJack II Drivers Will Not Install Properly
Alright so, I just got a new computer yesterday and it just so happened to have Windows 7 64-Bit on it. I am a new user, that in a few days has switched from XP to 7. I own a Samsung BlackJack II, which I have done countless modifications to, and now, I cannot seem to sync it up, let alone, connect it to my computer. When I plug it in, via USB. It worked the first time, synced it and everything with Windows Mobile Device Center, but then when I unplugged and replugged it in, driver's were corrupt(obviously), and tried uninstalling it all, and then reinstalling them all, drivers and WMDC, and I get a little notification that informs me that the drivers were unsuccessfully installed. Which is no longer making any sense to me... At all! lol, so I was wandering could you guys help me out here? I'm new to Windows 7 and I hope that this Community, gives me a lot of insight, and information to get back on my feet.

Samsung Vista GDI Driver Install Crashes
I have a nice Samsung ML4500. Not that new, but then I don't use my printer very much. But it is useful at times. So... I have the Vista ML4500 GDI driver installation package for it. I run it by right clicking in compatibility mode.I've done this three times now. The first two times, it crashed my machine dead as soon as the Samsung splash screen appeared. Video broke up, screen blanked and then only a hard reset fixed it.Third time, despite same compatibility mode operation, the Samsung installer just tells me that the driver is incompatible with this version of windows. Unfortunately, since it's a prepacked installation in an exe file, I can't get at any of the real files, inf, sys etc to see if I can by pass the installer's front end.I've also tried the Vista GDI drivers for other similiar models, which give me similar results. If anyone has any ideas on how to resolve this, other than approaching Samsung which I think is likely to prove unproductive, I'd love to hear from them! Edit: now, from another post, realised how I can unpack the driver set from the installer. I've done this, but the raw setup.exe still crashes win 7... I've now also tried the right click on the inf file in the Vista 64 subdir of the install package, but it tells me this method of installation is unsupported.

Samsung SGH-a867 Eternity Driver Install
Thus far, this method works on builds 7057 and 7077 x64. I can't imagine it working any differently on x86. I did have to re-perform the driver reinstall (step 5+) after I upgraded from 7057 to 7077. First: KEEP YOUR PHONE UNPLUGGED FROM THE COMPUTER Second: Download and Install Samsung PC Studio 3.2. The version I've downloaded was "Samsung_PC_Studio_321_GL6.exe" (MD5: 55B2561750C25BC0453DA9DDBD7DA216) for now it looks like you can still get it from here: http://downloadcenter.samsung.com/co...io_321_GL6.exe. Install the software. (note: Do not download and install that new version 5 crap, PC Studio 3 is already bloated enough and it sucks we're forced to use their interface, but the version 5 came with crashing 'usb com port' services and more bloatware) Third: Execute PC Studio's Automatic Updates Allow it to update what it wants (at the time of this writing, it won't ask you to update to version 5) or the program will bug the hell out of you. Who knows, you can probably do fine without the updates, but I'm telling you how I got it to work. Once complete, Close Samsung PC Studio 3. Fourth: Plug in your Phone with the USB cable. Windows will go Beeedoop and Baaadump. It will ask to find a driver online and it will fail. Just cancel out of everything. Fifth: Open up the Device Manager - I shouldn't have to include this section if you're Method 1: Run devmgmt.msc Method 2: If you have "My Computer" on your desktop, Right click on it, Click on Manage, Click on Device Manager on the Left Bar. Method 3: Click on the Start Menu, Right click on Computer, Click on Manage, Click on Device Manager on the Left Bar. Sixth: Install the SAMSUNG Mobile USB Modem Driver Under Other Devices, Right click on SAMSUNG CDMA Technologies, then click on Update Driver Software. Click on Browse my computer for driver software. Then click on Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer. Click on Next. Click on Have Disk. Navigate to Samsung's Drivers folder. For me, it was in C:Program Files (x86)SamsungSamsung PC Studio 3USB Drivers2 Select ssm_mdm2.inf Click on OK. If Given a Choice (I seem to remember having to choose, but when I replayed this, it only gave me this one) click on SAMSUNG Mobile USB Modem and not the other ones (I think one of them said Com Port and the other just USB drive.) They will install properly, but they won't communicate with Samsung PC Studio 3, rendering them effectively useless. Ignore Warning. Click on Yes. Windows has successfully updated your driver software! Click on OK. Finally: Open Samsung PC Studio 3. On your phone, navigate to the "Main Screen" (keep pressing the End-Call Button till you get home) and in a few seconds it should say SGH-A867 connected on the bottom right. If not, click on File > Connection, then click on USB, then click on Connect.

was told this was an install issue. XP And 7 Install Issues (Won't Boot Into Win 7 Install)
I have XP SP2 installed. I used EASEUS Partition Master to split my drive in half, one half being XP, the other half being a future install of Windows 7. Put DVD in, selected the blank partition, began the install. Once it gets to the first reboot, it will reboot and go straight into XP. There is no option to choose Windows 7. The XP boot.ini has only one entry for XP. Does anyone have any suggestions? I'm thinking I need to add an entry for Windows 7, but have no clue what to put and I'm also guessing I'd have to add a few special tags because it's booting into the setup process of Win 7.

Can Win 7 Professional Install Over Win 7 RC Ultimate ?
I have pre-ordered Windows 7 Professional upgrade & the more I read up on this, I don't know if my upgrade path will work. I had Windows Vista Home Premium 32 bit on an HP laptop, I was having issues with the Vista o/s, so I installed the Windows 7 RC & everything works just fine at least til June 2010. my question is will the Windows 7 Professional o/s install over the Windows 7 RC Ultimate? I have my Vista Home Premium license # still on my laptop, but I don't have any Vista backups that actually work, I made a backup following HP's instructions(I was only allowed to make 1 copy)just after I purchased. If I can't get Windows 7 Professional to work on this laptop I will just cancel my pre-order & save myself $99.

Can I Install Win 7 X32 Bit Then Later To Win 7 X64 Bit With Same Licence Key ?
I currently run Windows XP x32 bit Operating System. I have ordered the "full retail" version of Windows 7. I understand that 2 discs will be enclosed in the box, one for installing Windows 7 x32 bit and the other for installing Windows 7 x64 bit. I understand that I need to choose whether I want the x32 bit or x64 bit Windows 7 Operating System and install the 1 I choose at that point. I am quite happy with that. However, what I would like to do is initially install the Windows 7 x32 bit system and in about 6 months (when I have upgraded my hardware sufficiently) then move on to the x64 bit Windows 7 Operating System.  Can I do this with the same 1 licence that comes with the full retail version I have just ordered or will I need to buy another copy of Windows 7 ? It would not bother me if I had to do a "clean install" to move from x32 bit to x64 bit.

Samsung TV Not Supported
I upgraded from Windows Vista to Windows 7 in my HP Pavilion dv2415NR the screen on the laptop works fine when I tried to send the video to my Samsung 40 TV I get a message on my TV that the "mode not Supported". The Samsung work under Vista. Any suggestions of how I can get to work. I tried downloading the new driver from NVIDIA.], that did not solve the problem.

DLNA Samsung TV
I have a Samsung LN40A750 TV and apparently for the "A" versions you can no longer get the linkstick. I ordered a "B" version of the linkstick but it didn't work (it said it wouldn't but I figured I'd try it anyway). In the end I settled on purchasing a Linksys WET610N Wireless bridge. That worked as the TV has an IP address and I can use WiseLink to see the content being shared from the computers on my network. The PLAYTO feature in Windows is what really want to work with this lashup but the TV is not recognized by Windows 7 as a device.  Any thoughts on how to get the TV to be recognized as a device while connected to the bridge? Is this something provided by the linkstick for this TV? BTW, it does identify the WET610N wireless bridge as a device in Windows. I have a Samsung Omnia 2 phone. It too is DLNA compliant and I can PLAYTO that device.

Win 7 Install On New Drive
I am purchasing an upgrade copy of Windows 7 and want to do a clean install on my Vista machine. I want to purchase a second hard drive to install the new operating system for a "clean install" and use my old drive as as secondary drive. I am not interested in running Vista from it, only the software installed on the old drive. Can this be done? If so, how? I really would appreciate your help. Both are serial drives.

Win 7 32 / 64 Will Not Install / Loops
I've tried both the 64/32 flavors of beta 1. The install starts after press any key to boot form cd then i get the 2 white bars that go across the bottom screen refreshes I get the green loading bar and thats where it stays it just loops through it periodically it get stuck but give it 5-10 mins it'll start scrolling again but never get past that. Trying to install to a 90GB partition on Disk 2. I currently have XP Pro loaded on Disk 0 I never get far enough in the install for drives to matter though.

BSOD On Win 7 RC Install
Trying to install the 32 bit Win 7 RC on my laptop and get to the very last step (at least I think it's the last step...). I'm doing an Upgrade install from Vista Home Premium using a USB stick. The PC reboots, 'Starting Windows' and gets to a screen showing 'Setup is starting services'. Then I get the dreaded blue screen and am stuck in a blue screen loop. Each time I get a different blue screen but the most common one references wanarp.sys (page_fault_in_nonpaged_area). I've tried booting from the USB stick and doing a repair but that didn't fix it. Tried the Memory Diagnostics - no problems detected.  Tried F8, then 'Repair your computer', which restored me back to Vista - aaaargh, wasn't expecting that.... I assume it's a driver error but how can I fix it next time I try the install? Laptop spec: Dell M1330, T7500 2.2 Ghz, 2GB RAM, Nvidea GEForce 8400M GS, Bluetooth, Wireless N

Win 7 Clean Install
I am currently running build 7600 of Windows 7, I did a clean install without formatting the drive over windows vista premium 64bit and then removed the windows.old folder via the directions found on this board. My question is, that when I download my copy of Windows 7 off of digitalriver (I'm a college student) what is it I need to do in order to have a clean install? I've heard numerous reports that say I wouldn't have to install anything because build 7600 is the final version, and all I would need to do is enter the product key given on my upgrade version.

Win 7 Not Letting Me Install Anything
Since installing Win 7 RC on a completely new partition, I'm not able to run any .exe files online nor on CD. It's saying file is corrupt and needs to run Chkdsk. It runs Chkdsk at reboot, deletes some index files and cycle starts all over. Even Windows Update doesn't work. Getting a " Service is not Running error" Can go online but if I try to download a program it hangs and says "Internet Explorer was not able to open this Internet site. site is either unavailable or cannot be found. Try later"

Can You Install Win 7 To A SD Card?
I have looked around the net a bit to see if this was possible, and I have received mixed feelings after my findings. I recently purchased a new Toshiba Satellite that came with Windows Vista, and a free upgrade to Windows 7 on release. I am wondering if I am able to put a 32GB SDHC card into the read slot and have it be considered my main hard drive that Windows is on, and use the internal drive (which I swapped out for a Scorpio Black) as storage. Why, or why not?

ive an hd with 2 partitions, c and e, ive installed Windows 7 in e: can i make a second installation in c: with Windows 7? if i make a new installation of Windows 7 in c: i will be able to boot both os (the old Windows 7 in e: and the new one in c what im afraid of is that after installing the new Windows 7 in c: i will loose the boot option to log in the old previous Windows 7 installation in e: but im pretty shure that i should be able to log in both Windows 7 cause the new installation will retain the second os boot option.. theres someone can confirm?

Is It Possible To Install Win 7 RC Without Bootloader ?
Right now my laptop is running ubuntu jaunty and using GRUB as the bootloader. My past experience is that windows installs will overwrite my primary HD boot sector and put in its own bootloader. I feel fairly confident that I can tweak grub to run Win7 RC if I can get it to not install its own bootloader since otherwise I would lose access to my ubuntu install which I use for everything. I have to admit, I lost faith in MS with Vista's release and switched over to GNU/Linux but would like to give Win7 a shot and see if it may be bringing windows back into a productive state. If anyone knows of a way to tweak the install process to bypass a bootloader that would be helpful.Â

Install On Partition That Contains Win 7 RC
I know that I could not upgrade Windows 7 RC to Windows 7 (both are/were 64-bit). When I received the Windows 7 DVDs from Amazon I booted from the DVD, selected Custom install, and proceeded to install. It seems to work OK, except for one problem involving Quicken (both versions 2008 and 2010) crashing when I attempt to open a Quicken data file. (This crash occurs before it even displays the File Open dialog, so a corrupted file would not be the issue). My question for this forum is: Did I do the right thing to select "Custom Install"? Are there any remnants of the RC release left in the newly installed OS (I assumed there would not be - if there are, that means I have a unholy combination of released and beta software, a recipe for trouble)?  Should I have used the "Advanced" install functions to simply reformat the drive and thus ensure that no traces of the RC release remain (I didn't look at "Advanced" that closely, but assume that it supports that)? I did one unusual thing, which I don't believe should cause problems. I have a client with legacy 16-bit software who might want to go to Windows 7 (32-bit). Therefore, I first installed Windows 7 32-bit (using the procedure described above).  I did not activate it but simply did a few tests, then proceeded to install Windows 7 64-bit, again using the procedure described above. Before installing the 64-bit version, I renamed the Windows.Old (created by the 32-bit install) to Windows7RC.old, so that I would not lose any information. Disturbingly, the new Windows.Old directory (Program Files (x86) subdirectory) contains remnants of programs that I never installed on the short-lived Windows 7 32-bit installation (specifically Visual Studio).

Samsung Monitor Driver
I've had an ongoing problem with this for some time now. You can see here that my Device Manager tells me that I'm missing a video controller, and also in that post is my inability to watch full screen videos online. Here, I talk about the problems I've had with my display driver crashing. Now, yesterday I downloaded Photoshop, and as it opened, a window popped up saying that my "monitor Profile" is defective and needs to be calibrated (See first attachment). If I choose to Ignore Profile, I can use Photoshop as usual, but everything I export has an irremovable yellow tinge. If I choose to Use Anyway, there is no white in Photoshop's color pallet, only the same yellowish color. This got me thinking for the first time that my monitor was the cause of my problems, so I searched online for Samsung 2243swx drivers. On their webpage, they had up for download only one driver, which is for a VGA graphics card (See second attachment). I've been running a PCI graphics card (NVIDIA GeForce 8400 GS), and I was wondering if this could be the problem. Would you say I ought to buy a VGA graphics card?

Samsung 275t Drivers
My current monitor driver default by Windows 7 is generic pnp monitor. with this i cant get my refresh rates higher. i downloaded the samsung drivers from their site, but when running the file i get "cannot open monitor driver, please check the monitor driver or cd" ive tried runnning it in compatibility mode as well. im on x64

Samsung R60 Drivers
I was wondering if Samsung have released drivers for the R60 laptop that are fully functional in Windows 7, when I installed Windows 7 I had to search for all of the drivers myself, I was given a disk with the laptop but it only works in Vista. When running a benchmark test, the graphics were much better in Vista because I dont think I can find the right driver for the graphics card in Windows 7. Also, a lot of the Fn buttons dont work anymore, for example changing the brightness, turning off the display, showing the battery level on screen, etc. I assume this is done through the chipset driver which I never had to install or even looked for. Also, one last thing, with my graphics card on Vista I get a little ATI icon in the notification area, along with the Catalyst Control Centre, although I never get this in Windows 7.

I have install the drivers for (Samsung i760) but I think, that they are only for XP, Vista, I get not massage from computer as to if drivers are OK or not (they show in "Divice Manager" I open Windows Mobile Center and my phone said is not conected. Any sugestions as to how to?

Cannot Sync Samsung Omnia
have tried almost all the things in most forums concerning this topic. Of hundreds of attempts my device has synchronize twice or thrice in Vista. It does not even recognize the device when connected. Recently upgraded to Win 7 RC. Same problem in Win 7. Tried deleting the partnership, uninstalling and reinstalling WMDC. No difference. The last I tried - unistalled the drivers for the device and tried to connect it to have it reinstalled. The drivers do not load successfully.

24 Samsung HDMI And Sound
The sound was working on my SAMSUNG and I was trying to temporarily disable it, so I would not distrub my housemates.... So I clicked "disable" on the control panel Sounds gaget, thinking this would temporarily turn it off, like it does within the Networks gaget (I turn off wireless at work, and network port at home). Well it did not temporarily disable it, it deleted it from the system. I have managed to get it to see the HDMI TV at 1080p resolution, but sounds don't work on the TV since I clicked disable. I have tried every setting on the control panel, such as sound devices, graphics, displays, tried the "find a device" all to no avail. How do I enable the sound for the samsung?
