Trial Version DVD File Is Corrupt

I downloaded the Windows 7 trial version and when I try to install it I get a message that the file is corrupt. I would like to install the trial version but now the download is no longer available. How do I get a new copy to download?

My computer has currently Vista 32 home premium and found recently unknown directory on c:. That directory was locked when I tried to remove manually, and computer turned off if I tried to unlock using unlocker. The OS on my computer is OEM, I don't have CD, and I decided to install window 7 trial version until it comes on market. Can you tell me where can I get the trial version and can I do clean install with trial version?

Upgrades For Trial Version Of Windows 7
I had a friend build a new computer for me and he put the trial verison of Windows 7 on it.  I have upgraded it to the RC version of Windows 7.  Will the upgrades for Windows 7 that are currently being offered as pre-sales, do me any good since I do not have a previous version of Windows on my computer?

I do not have Vista, nor do I have XP.  The only operating system I have is the trial version of Windows 7.  Does that mean I have to buy a full copy of Windows 7 and not the Upgrades?  And if so, will there be any advance sales for the full versions with possibly discounts for uses of the trial version of Windows 7?

Warning Message For 90 Trial Version Of W7 Enterprise
I am an IT professional doing Oracle application development remotely for a client. I want to see if the business applications I am running for my client and my company work under Windows 7. What exactly does Microsoft mean when they say "We do not recommend that you install this if you are a not an IT Professional or not professionally managing corporate networks"? Is there something about the trial version that is different from the version that we will get when we purchase the OS?

3Dmark Vantage (Trial Version) Causing A Blue Screen Of Death
When I installed the program it installed flawlessly. Yet when I go to run the test itself instead of starting to play video I consistently get a blue screen of death. I can try to replicate it more and get the exact message if it would be helpful. Anyone have any ideas? All of my video card drivers are up to date.

Corrupt File Error
I have installed windows 7 before and I used to get a Curropt File error (or something like that) whenever I tried to use some programs such as MapleStory or even Google Chrome. It's more like a note on the bottom right corner. I installed win 7 again last week and today decided to give it another shot, but still the same. anything I can do to prevent this and use these programs? (and others i assume)

btw, idk if it's because of win 7 or IE but I tried to log in here while using win 7 and it just kept saying that I need to sign in. I also have Vista installed on my PC

Corrupt Boot File
I have Vista Home Premium 64 Bit and Windows 7 64 Bit. As you see I am dual booting. I had Vista installed first.I installed Win 7 later.Everything was fine.

I installed cuipid a program that monitors, memory,CPU,etc. on Win 7. I used the PC aftyer that for a couple of hours.I shut doem, the next day I booted up went in to Windows 7(set as Default). It was fine.I resarted and arrowed to Vista to boot into Vista.

I got a Black sctreen saying: Windows failed to start. Hardware or software change may be the problem. I went into 7 and restored the system back to before I installed Cuipid,No Luck.

The screen that comes up when I try to boot into Vista says:

1 Insert windows Disk and restart.

2.Choose your choose your language and click next.

3. Click repair your PC./

I tried a repair on Vista and &.

On the page I also get error: File/windows/system/32/Winload exe.

Status: Qxc000000F

then selected entry could not be loaded because the application is missing or corrupt.

I know there is a way to restore the Boot manager from Cmd??

I would appreciate it if anyone could advise me how to restore the Boot Sector.

I have 2 hard drives both partitioned.

Event Id 55 - The File System Structure On The Disk Is Corrupt And Unusable
After my upgrade to Windows 7 from Vista, I see this event reported regularly in my System log: eventid 55, "The file system structure on the disk is corrupt and unusable. Please run the chkdsk utility on the volume Win7OS".

The latter is my active system partition. This is what I did to try to resolve the issue:ran chkdsk which did not report any errors;ran "chkdsk /F /R" to resolve the issue;ran "fsutil dirty query c:" but the active partion is not dirty;ran PerfectDisk, no MFT fragmentation;checked my harddisk SMART properties, but no issues found.

However, it eventid 55 goes away for a few days and returns again.

There are 4096 bytes in each allocation unit, so not too many small allocation units, I guess.I looked on the net for answers, but I did not find any that makes sense to me. Is it related to my Avira app? Is it related to my Raxco PerfectDisk 10 app?Is it related to my Acronis TrueImage Home 2010 app? Is it an issue in Windows 7?

This issue occurs on an Asus notebook bought in June this year and with the info I have now, I suspect the issue is related to a logical error rather than a physical one. What option is left to make the error go away before it becomes worse? Would format C: be an option and then install e.g. Acronis image on the partition? Do I need to worry and do a low level surface check on the harddisk? Thanks for sharing your thoughts.

Corrupt BIOS - Cannot Boot To DVD
I need help installing the OS. My BIOS is corrupt, so I cannot change the boot order to let me boot to a DVD. I can either boot to a floppy or a hard drive. I have used smart boot manager in the past to boot to CDs, but it will not let me boot to DVDs. I will either need a boot manager that is DVD compatible or an installation that is spread out over multiple CDs.

Differences Between RTM And Final DVD Version
I question the announcements I’ve read about the RTM build (7600) being the exact same build as the one that is (and will be) spread on DVD as the final build. As far as I know there are several differences between the two versions. And as far as I know should a difference between two versions result in a new build.

Differences that are obvious and easy to spot are:

1. The choice of version. In the RTM there was only one version, Ultimate. From DVD one can install the various versions.

2. Localization. The RTM was English only where the DVD version comes localized.

3. Browser selection. The EU version of W7 contains browser selection. The RTM was only Ultimate and didn’t have this feature.

4. maybe there are more ..

Realizing this makes me wander whether or not to reinstall W7 from DVD instead of continue to use the RTM version. Who knows more about this?

File Version Error On Installing From Vista Home Premium X64 To Win 7 X64
I get this error message when I try to install Windows 7 x64 on my Vista Home Premium x64 HP9340F machine from within Vista x64:The version of this file is not compatible with the version of Windows you're running.  Check your computer's system information to see whether you need an x86 (32-bit) or x64 (64-bit) version of the program, and then contact the software publisher.

I can install the x32 version of Windows 7 fine, but I need to use drivers from my x64 Vista ie. IR Transceiver for Windows Media center.  I would imagine the Vista x64 drivers might work with the x64 Windows 7 where they do not work with the x32 Windows 7.

I'm not sure I'm making sense to anyone but me, sorry.  If you have any ideas drop me a bone.  I didn't try the Windows 7 x64 install from a boot, maybe that would have worked?

the dvd drive is a sony dvd burner model dru-840a and i never changed or had to set the region since i bought it.

How Do I Get ISO File From Hard Disk Onto A DVD ?
I am trying to install the Windows 7 beta on my laptop (which has no Internet connection).

Here's what I have done:

1) Downloaded the W7 beta to my desktop machine.

2) Used IsoBuster to create the .ISO image and *.cue files When I try to copy these to my CD/DVD drive, though, it doesn't want to work. I get an err msg that there is no CD in the drive - that's true, it's a DVD, not a CD.When I look at "DVD/CD-RW Drive (R:)" in Explorer, the files (*.iso and *.cue) are categorized as "Files Ready to Be Written to the CD".

What do I need to do to get these files onto the DVD, so that I can try to install it to my laptop?

DVD Movie - Windows Cannot Access The Specified Device, Path, Or File
I recently upgraded from Vista Home Premium to Windows 7 Home Premium. Before the upgrade, playing DVD movies were fine. I have two DVD drives that are working the same. When I put a Movie in the drive, the drive will recoginze the disk and give the name of the movie like it should. It will not auto start the movie even though the autoplay is turned on for Windows Media Player. If I double click on the drive with the movie in it, I get the response "Windows cannot access the specified device, path, or file. You may not have the appropriate permissions to access the item." I have tried several different apps as the default, but all do the same thing.

I can open any of them such as WMP and start the movie from with in and it will play fine. Music CD's and apps will start fine. It is only DVD Movies that will give me the error. I have removed WMP and Media Center and reinstalled them to no avail. One other thing that I have noticed, in the Media Center, I don't have a choice to play DVD's there under movies. I have upgraded two other computers and they all play fine. I have downloaded the Take Possesion.reg, but it won't give me any options for the dvd drives, only files that may be within.

Upgrade Path From Localized Version Of Vista To MSDNAA EN US Version Of Win7
I'm running an OEM version of Windows Vista Home Premium, and since I'm a class B netizen I only had access to a localized version of my operative system. The MSDNAA graciously makes a copy of Windows 7 Professional English and a copy of Windows 7 Multilanguage Pack available to me. Howerer there is no localized version of the former and no WinVista equivalent of the latter. The Windows installer aborts pointing out the localization conflict and links me to this unhelpful page.

My OEM seems to have disabled the option of using Windows Anytime Upgrade, so I will not pour money into this option just to get the option to relocalize my OS to English 'just in case'. Also, I would really rather not lose a week into driver scavenging, clicking through programs installers, staring at progress bars getting filled (multiple times). I'd really want to just upgrade. Is this a dead end? Do I have to cross my fingers and wait for Godot err a localized version of Win7 to appear on MSDNAA? Or is there a way around this?

Use Win 7 Ultimate Upgrade Version DVD To Upgrade WinXP Professional X64 Computer
Can I use Windows 7 Ultimate Upgrade version DVDs to upgrade my Windows XP Professional x64 computers?WindowsMarketplace.com says:Microsoft designed Windows 7 Upgrade media for Windows Vista. Customers with Windows XP can purchase Windows 7 Upgrade versions but must back up their files, clean install, and then reinstall their applications.

So if I have to back up my files, clean install, and then reinstall my applications, then what's different from a full install? And what are the differences between Windows 7 Ultimate Upgrade versions and Windows 7 Ultimate Full versions then?
