Samsung SGH Z810 Compatibility
Is someone using samsung sgh-z810 usb (3G, HSDPA), modem successfully with windows 7? I am trying to use it on my MSI WIND U-100 notebook. Windows 7 is running well on the notebook, I have no other complains or hardware issues. I am running the official evaluation copy Build 7100 downloaded from Microsoft. The modem installation consists in the following steps: (For testing purposes I've installed successfully under XP and Vista, the modem is working well) 1 - Plug in the modem in one of the USB slots 2 - The hardware is recognized as CD-drive (this is normal) 3 - The autoplay function starts, installing setup.exe - which installs Samsung's connection manager software 4 - after the installation of the connection manager software the system recognize the modem part of the device and installs the drivers from the "CD"-drive (from itself) 5 - after successfully install, the connection program runs from the pc and that's all. Under Windows 7 I can do the install until the step 3 - installing the connection manager software. In order to solve my problem I already did the following: - installing from the scratch (one by one) using the compatibility mode set to all of the XP-modes and all of the Vista modes - also running as administrator. No matter whatever I did, the system is not recognizing the modem part of the device (it is not included in the list of the devices - not even like unknown device) I would be more than happy if someone could help me to solve this problem PS: I did search for upgraded samsung software and drivers, but I couldn't find anything the device is not even listed on samsung's web-pages. I purchased the modem from official Hungarian mobile service provider.

Samsung Ml-2510 Printer Driver
I have a Samsung ML-2510 that I recently purchased and I can not get it to work with Windows 7. I have tried the xp driver and the Vista driver running in vista compatibility mode as an administrator and have had no success. The reason I bought this printer was because my older hp deskjet 3745 would not work with Windows 7 and it had no vista driver so I ran it in compatibility mode and it also did not work. Both these printers work fine in xp mode. I would like help with the samsung primarily but also with the hp.

Samsung Laser Printer - ML-1740
I really like Windows 7 so far. MUCH more stable than Vista on my HP Laptop. Everything has worked thus far with the exception of my Samsung Laser Printer installation. Upon running the setup, I get an error stating that this version of Windows is not supported. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Samsung ML-2510 Printer Problem
I tried searching this before couldn't find a thread with the issue I have... 1) Windows 7 64bit has a Samsung ML-2510 USB printer installed 2) I shared the printer in Windows 7 3) x64 drivers are installed but could not installed x86 drivers. It keeps saying the driver is not for the processor architecture (using the driver I used for WinXp) 4) In Advanced Sharing Options, I enabled Sharing and disabled password. I only have one account with no password, on Win 7 Machine. 5) Windows Xp laptop is a work machine and part of a domain, so I can NOT change the workgroup to "Workgroup" 6) Tried installing the printer using Win7MachineSamsung command in Winxp run dialog 7) Printer windows opens up showing "Initializing" and then get 'ready' 8) NOTHING happens when I try to print a test page. Is there a way I can use the printer? I used to be able to print without any problem, when I was on XP.

Thought it might be of interest for anyone else with this 5 year old printer to know that on my system it works with XP drivers (downloaded from the Samsung site) but NOT Vista drivers. Right-click on the driver file, select Troubleshoot Compatibility, and follow the instructions.

Samsung Clp 315 Color Laser Printer Does Not Work
I just bought the printer cited above, at first i could not install the 64 driver but i went to windows update and it gave me an update (driver?) for the printer, But after a reboot i lost the driver and re-installed with success the vista 64 driver from the Samsung site, but after puting the pc to sleep when re-starting i loose the driver every time. I called Samsung but of course they won't help me with windows 7 I am thinking of bringing it back as i have 30 days and bye another brand but they are double the price of Samsung. Anybody would know of any solution please, it would be apreciated. I cannot install the diagnostic program also that comes with the printer but this is miner if i can get the driver to stay.

Dell 1520 Sound Problem
I've been having problems with my sound card drivers ever since I upgraded to Windows 7 64 from Windows Vista 32. I must admit I messed up by not writing down what specific sound card is in this laptop (Dell Inspiron 1520) and I have not been able to find any drivers from Dell.com. I do have a CD that originally came with my computer thats labeled "Creative Sound Blaster Audigy" so I was assuming thats the type of sound card I have? When I look in Device Manager all it says is "High Def. Audio Device". Additionally whenever I do try to install either the SigamaTel Audio drivers from Dell or the Audigy drivers from Creative they just say the device is not supported. So I'm at a loss as to what to do! I noticed this problem when I couldn't use a microphone (which although old) that until the upgrade had worked perfectly. Now when I plug it in Windows Seven just says it's a "Line In". What in earth does this mean? I'm not too knowledgeable about drivers but I wish to learn. I've noticed that there are a lot of great people on this forum helping each other out so if you guys could assist me in finding a solution I would really appreciate it. I would love to be able to talk to my buddies over Ventrillo again!

Dell 1520 Dropping WiFi Address
i have a small issue with my Dell 1520 laptop and my netgear router, it seem that the laptop is either dropping or not finding my network, i can set the mac address an ip address in my router, and the laptop will find the address and will work, use it for few day without an issue, then when i turn it off and turn it on the next day it cannot find the network again. even when i right click on my network and tell it to connect it will not connect. there are 2 wireless adapters on the laptop one is a intel pro wireless adapter 3945, and a broadcom 440x integrated controller. ( i am thinking there is conflict ) i can connect with no problem with a cable to the latop, both the intell and broadcom's addresses are in the router.

Compatibility Mode For Printer Drivers
I've disposed of all of my HP printers because HP support has gotten so bad. Refusing to offer drivers for a printer that is over 5 years old, when that printer cost more the three thousand dollars was the final straw. Now, I'd like to update all of my machines to Windows 7 ( I love it) but the new Epson Professional wide format printer I have does not have a working Vista x64 driver. The compatibility mode in Windows 7 works great for applications, but I'm not having much success with printer drivers. I'm hoping that Epson will step up and produce the proper drivers, but until then I've had to keep a machine running WinXP just so that I could use that printer. This one sells for more the six thousand, and I can't afford to replace it. Am I going to have to resort to a VM?
