I have DELL Inspiron 2200. I installed win 7 on it. Now there are two drivers that have exclamation marks in device manager, multimedia audio controller and video controller. The dell site for my laptop doesnt have the drivers for windows 7, only for windows xp. Is there any way to find and install the necessary drivers?
Is there any way I can have Aero on my laptop?? I cannot give you the specs of the video card because it calls it "Standard VGA Graphics Adapter" and I have no specific info.. there is also something titles "Video Controller" but it doesn't have the drivers for it.
I recently got a Dell Studio 1555 laptop and installed Windows 7 on it.
The Aero theme background really becomes funky and full of lines as seen in the attached images. Sometimes application window displays also get messed up as in the attached Paint window.
I installed the latest Driver for the Video from Dell site but that doesn't seem to solve the issue.
Following is the configuration of my laptop:
Intel Pentium Dual Core T4200 (2.0GHz/800Mhz FSB/1MB cache) 3GB Shared Dual Channel DDR2 at 800MHz 15.6 Full High Definition (1080p) High Brightness LED Display with TrueLife and Camera Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 4500MHD
The windows 7 (64 Bit) default installation for this printer using a direct connection usb cable is the PL5 driver. This driver however does not enable the print on both sides feature which is available through the PL6 driver which works on XP.
Does anyone know if there is a PL6 64 bit driver which works with this printer. HP has a universal PL6 driver but the system is unwilling or unable to update to this driver.
Also, while I can get this printer to work on a direct usb cable, it will not connect over a network connection with Win 7, so would be interested to know if anyone has had success here!
I am currently looking a way to enable Aero in my machine. (as note, currently I am missing the Aero Glass, Aero Peek, and Aero Flip.
I did a clean install of Windows 7 on the machine. Because my screen is WideScreen, at first the graphics are all large and mushy. But at this point I HAVE AERO!
Then, I installed the driver for the gfx card, which was SIS UniVGA3 v.3.85. After installing and restarting, I get the normal resolution (1280x800) but NO AERO.
I thought this was driver problem, so I downloaded UniVGA5 v5.07, UniVGA5 v5.20 (which is the driver for Windows7, according to the site), and the SiS driver update from Windows Update, all of which didn't enable Aero for me.
I am completely stumped on this. I just don't get why the heck I get Aero WITHOUT driver, but no Aero with drivers.
I need to install my printer (hp psc 2200 series all-in-one) to my computer with Windows 7. I'm getting an error message "my operating system does not meet the minimum requirements. Is there an upgrade to download?
I have just installed Windows 7 RC on a Toshiba Satellite Pro L10 Laptop.
Broadly speaking it works except that the Wireless LAN Adapter doesn't work.
The device is reported (by Linux) as an [Air Conn] INPROCOMMIPN 2200 Wireless LAN Adapter (rev 01) (Probably from Linksys/Cisco?).
Does anyone have any idea where / how I could get a suitable driver? I have downloaded the XP & Vista32 drivers and they don't appear to work. Incidentally, I have had Windows XP Home working on this laptop.
I am using windows premium. I have my printer Minolta Magicolor 2200 deskjet. I have tried almost everything. How can i get the drivers of this printer for my win 7?

I went to the dell site and checked if I could load windows 7 on the Inspiron 1505 and could not find that I could. Can I load windows 7 on the Inspiron 1505?
I've had my laptop Dell INSPIRON N5030 for about a year.It was working fine up till now but when I boot it up it gives me a windows recovery error. It says: windows failed to start. a recent hardware or software might be the cause. When I choose the launch start repair, it just gives me the windows screen with the mouse and nothing happens. Then if i choose load windows normally, it will just go to the loading screen then it'll stay there for a while then go back to the windows recovery error.I've also tryed to reboot the hard drive by pressing F12, but it won't let me it just puts me back on to the windows recovery error screen.
I bought a new dell laptop of model inspiron n5010. It works with Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit OS. I installed all the other drivers and softwares. I cannot find a way to work the Wifi. I tried to install the wifi driver R252283 from dell official site, but when i'm installing it i got an error message"The software you are attempting to install is not supported on this system. The software will not be installed."
