Install On HP Pavilion Dv2012ea Notebook PC

Windows 7 x32 installation stop after checking the disk that has no driver found to continue with the installation. My Pavillion notebook has a Intel(R) 82801GBM   SATA AHCI Controller (Mobile ICH7M) where even I reload the specific driver files through USB stick could not complete the installation process.

Audio Driver For HP Notebook Pavilion Dv2312us
It's not a huge problem, but just found out the WIN 7 audio driver for my HP notebook Pavilion dv2312us will not be available for another 2-3 months. Using the current driver, I get a POP sound when it goes into sleep mode or shuts down. I also don't have a mute function. I hope the POP sound is not damaging to the computer.

I was on the driver page for this computer and the Win 7 audio driver is not listed. So then I went into a chat - he gave me a driver that wasn't compatible at all. Had to go back to my other generic IDT driver which causes problems above.

Pavilion Zt3000 Notebook Internet / Driver Problem
I'm using windows 7 beta on an old hp pavilion zt3000 notebook built for XP and W2K. Now, I can't connect to the internet according to the device manager there is a "network controller" driver missing.

I already tried to use the CD I have, I downloaded stuff from the internet, I tried to install it using the compatibility mode but nothing works.

I still can't connect to the internet. It only says it can't get an IP which I think is because of the missing driver. I tried using cable and Wifi but neither of them seems to work.

I can't get any vista drivers for my notebook cause it's simply way to old.

Custom Install With Notebook Without Drivers
I am trying to upgrade my Vista 32 bit to Windows 7 32 bit. Since my Vista is the home version and the win 7 I've purchased is professional, I have to do a custom install, which basically deletes all my programs and drivers. My notebook, however, didn't come with any drivers when I purchased it. All it asked me to do was make a recovery disk.

So my question is, how do I find said drivers? I've downloaded a few off HP but do those require existing drivers or can I use those after the Win 7 installation? My main concern is my ATI Mobility Radeon 3200 and CCC.

How To Install In Notebook With No DVD, OS, USB ?
I have a tough problem that I would really appreciate detailed instructions on how to solve. I recently purchased a Motion Computing M1300 Tablet (originally from Circa 2003). It has a 40GB HDD (internal - IDE I think) that has been wiped so it has no OS - only BIOS.

I do not have any keyboard or mouse (its a pen table) or DVD/CD Rom for this computer. It does have a USB and I follewed instructions to create a bootable USB flash drive with Windows 7 on it, but that procedure gets only a few minutes into it and then fails because computer is unable to find any drivers that it is look for.

I do have access to a second XP computer with DVD. I have a Windows 7 DVD and also an XP DVD as well that I can access on the 2nd computer. I can and have taken out the HDD from the Motion Computer computer and I have a USB Drive attachment that allows me to connect the drive from the Motion table (after taking it out) to my second laptop where I can do all kinds of things to it.

What I want to do is figure out some instructions on what to do to the HDD after removing it from my tablet (maybe starting with a low level format) so that I can put an OS on the HDD (though the USB connected to my XP laptop) and after I put the HDD back in the Motion Computing laptop, everything will start working and the Motion Laptop will be usable with the OS.

I would prefer to have Windows 7 on it, but at this point, I would even accept someway to even get XP working on the machine. Everything I have tried so far just has not worked.

Install On An HP Pavilion Dv5t
I just installed Windows 7 Beta on my HP Pavilion dv5t and notice that my quick launch buttons don't work at all.

The mute button does work, but does not turn orange when muted (like it did in Vista). I can only tell that it is muted because of the mute symbol that appears in the systray.

The volume and WiFi buttons work correctly in Windows 7.

I have tried installing some of the HP drivers, but no help.

Anyone have any ideas?

Install On Hp Pavilion Dv 1136
if i install windows 7 on hp pavilion dv 1136, will it work?

Answer:-

It's a beta, so theres no guarantee that it will or wont work. I havent yet checked the specs of that hp machine so currently i cant even make a guess. To re-install XP SP3 you will have to format and re-install from your installation or recovery disks. However, if your looking at installing windows 7 make sure you have backups of all your files. just in case you have to do a full format at some point.

Ive just had a quick search to try and find specs of this, and there are a few variations on the model, the graphics appears to be either a Geforce 9200m or intel 852/855 chipset. If its a model with The intel chipset/graphics then it wont give brilliant graphics performance due to no WDDM driver, and i honestly don't know how well the 9200m will perform, as i haven't seen any reports on that chipset(that i remember reading).

heres the link to the individual models that are available,

http://h20180.www2.hp.com/apps/Lookup?h_lang=en&h_cc=us&cc=us&h_page=hpcom&lang=en&h_client=S-A-R163-1&h_query=dv+1136&submit.x=0&submit.y=0

if you compare those numbers to what you have, then you will be able to find out precisely which hardware you have, then you can try searching here to see whether it will be generally compatible or not. Again as i said originally, with it being a BETA, there are no guarantees that Windows 7 will work with specific hardware, thats why it has been made available to increase the numbers of pc's that it can be tested on.

Install On HP Pavilion TX1420US
I installed Windows 7 completely on my HP Pavilion TX1420US, and it was successful.  However, when I tried installing the drivers, there is one unknown device, and when I tried to automatically search and install drivers, Win 7 cannot find it.  Is there a way I can know what that device is so that I can install the driver? Tried calling HP but I was told they can't help and call MS.  I did and they told me that Support for Win 7 RC1 is not yet provided.

Install Win7 On HP Pavilion S7713W
Ok here is my problem. I have a HP S7713W and I current;y run XP Pro. I bought the Upgrade disk for Windows 7 Pro. The install runs perfectly until I reach the point where I should enter product key info. The screen goes black. No cursor, nothing. I restart, see the windows logo, and again blank screen. I went back to XP and updated the BIOS.

No luck. It will not start in safe mode, I get the message that windows needs to finish installing first. The system runs Nvidia which is directly on the motherboard, not a seperate graphic card so the monitor plugs directly into the motherboard.

LG P310 Notebook Drivers
I have this notebook (LG P310 Tarsia), and I´ve installed Windows 7 Ultimate x64. Everything works perfectly, but there are some drivers that Windows Update doesn´t recognize and doesn´t install, so I have to use Vista drivers or look for them in web pages. These are the drivers:

Turbo Intel Memory

Nvidia GForce 9600m GT

Intel Chipset

Realtek HD

1) Is this normal?

2) I´ve found Nvidia and Turbo Memory at their web pages, but not the others. Anybody knows where can I found them?

Improve Audio On HP Notebook
I would like to improve the audio quality on my lap top. I am planning on buying some high quality head phones so I can watch movies and listen to music in private.

I have the HP Pavilion dv6-1245 dx, product number NV068UA. It has all of the factory hardware still installed.

Can someone help me find a good program for this. A program with equalizers and the such, options for setting diff sound types? Hope you understand what I mean. Also, did I give enough tech info?

PS: Should have asked. What are some really good/best over the ear head phones for a PC?

HP L2000 Notebook Missing Drivers
I just did a Win7 x64 RTM clean install on my HP L2000 notebook. After install and auto update (it updated my display and network driver) I still do not have drivers for "mass storage controller", "multimedia audio controller" and "PCI modem".

HP does not have any Vista x64 drivers on their web site. The HP docs indicate that these are "TI media card reader", "Conexant CX20408-31 AC97" and "Conexant CX20493-58" devices. Real drivers on Windows Update would be really nice! Please respond if you know where genuine x64 drivers are available.

HP Dv7 Notebook Remote Not Working
I just installed Windows 7 last week. I've managed to get all the drivers working with the exception of what's needed for the remote. It will not work with Windows 7 media center. I am not getting any error messages, the computer just does not respond to the remote at all. Here's some info that may help:

Windows Vista Home Premium x64 bit original install to fresh install of Windows 7 Professional x64 bit.

No problems during installation.

Remote worked fine in Vista before install.

Already downloaded drivers from HP's support page for the dv7-1247cl (my model) and there doesn't seem to be one for the remote.

Asus F3sv Notebook Has Problems
I've installed Win 7 Rc1 on my Asus f3sv. All of drivers installed from windows update. Then I've tried to install ATK OSD (on screen display). Before this I've installed other ATK software and vista driver. That's not working. :(

Another issue is, fingerprint device. Win 7 automatically install driver. I've installed ADSM, but that can't use fingerprind hardware. I control Control Panel's fingerprint section, that don't find my ADSM as biometrics software.

After these problems, I've paused my Win 7 testing, turned again vista. I've no much time for fight problems about drivers...

HP DV7-1034ca Notebook Webcam
Running an HP Pavillion DV7-1034ca notebook computer with Windows 7 x64. All devices work fine with the exception of the webcam - the drivers install fine (HP do not have drivers for the webcam, they claim that Windows should have the proper drivers available) but whenever the webcam is used by any program the program "cannot connect to the webcam". It's not in use by another program - the light beside it is always off.

Anyone gotten their HP cams to work?
