View 4 RepliesI had FIFA 12 installed on my windows 7 earlier and the game ran extremely well. recently i upgraded to windows 8 and have installed FIFA 12 again but now the game is running very slow now. many frames get skipped now. my laptop specs are:
-nvidia gef.orce 1gb graphic card
-4 gb RAm.
-1st gen Intel core i5 processor.
just recently bought a new computer and encountered some problems on video playback and on games. on videos the video plays normally until some time the videos becomes jittery with green and pink lines, if i leave it that way it usually results into a "display driver has stopped responding...." or it goes bsod. this also happens on Internet and other video streaming sites. on games it's pretty much the same but it crashes and goes bsod or display driver has blah blah.... i pretty much updated all the drivers needed mobo, video card and win7 updates and it still haunts me, but then again i can still play videos and do gaming
View 6 Replies View RelatedI am building a new gaming system, considering that the screen is only 1920x1080 resolution, from most benchmarks I have seen, the i7 and GTX670 I put in it shoul be enough to handle any current game at highest settings at a playable framerate. So I put in a temporary junk HDD and installed Windows 7 (64bit professional) just to test it out and try different configurations on it before I install it for real on the actual system drive. After downloading the demos to known hardware-straining games like Crysis and Metro 2033 I was pretty satisfied with the performance.Evetually, I ran windows update and installed all recommended and optional (except for Bing Desktop) updates. After several reboots and re-updates to make sure everything was installed I shut it down. The next day I start it up again and notice that it was taking two to three times as long to boot up..... fair enough, I did just install many updates. But now I noticed that performance had taken a total nosedive as well. For some reason it took several minutes after the desktop had loaded for any program to actually start up. The Crysis demo (even with vsync turned on from the console) had massive tearing where there wasn't any before, and the Metro 2033 demo had slowdowns, especially when turning!
I suspect its MSE thats causing it (I am going to install NOD32 as my real antivirus anyway) but is there any way I can test what could be causing this lag in case it isn't MSE? I can't just not run Windows Update after all, that would be beyond stupid, especially on a fresh install. Pretty much the only thing that changed between the last time I ran those demos and now was installing updates.
my PC randomly hangs and makes a lovely noise (through the speakers rather than the computer itself) when listening to music, watching vids online/offline, gaming, basically at any time, when there is no sound it still hangs for a second when moving the mouse but makes no noise through the speakers. I've just done a clean install and have removed all OC to see if it makes any difference, all drivers are up to date with latest versions from manufacturers, i'm about to pull out my sound card and use onboard sound to see if that's the issue, but i believe i've tried that once before. Have experienced BSOD on this rig, but haven't had it for a while.
Here's my rig:
Win 7 Ultimate x64
Intel i5 3750K, stock speed
8Gb Crucial PC3-10700H RAM
Gigabyte Z77-DS3H mobo (F9 BIOS - not F10 beta)
Saffire HD7770, stock speed
M-Audio Audiophile 2496
OCZ Agility 3 120Gb SSD (Firmware 2.25 I believe)
Seagate Barracuda 500Gb HDD
my pc is very slow at video playing ,not able to view move faster through internet

View 1 Replies View RelatedMy computer started running really slow and sticking while running videos and playing games. I looked at the processes on the task bar and I have 13 svchost running ...is that normal? What do I really need to have running? I have so many things on there like something called toaster.exe32. I've cleared the cache and cookies..and used CCleaner. I thought maybe stopping some of the processes would help.

I have 5 hard drives installed. 3 for storing sound sample libraries, 1 SSD for the OS, and a spare 2TB hdd to install any other programs I need and for general storage. Most times when I try to open Sonar X1 (software for music production) it takes about a minute to load. I know it's not the power of the computer holding it back because it has, although rarely, loaded up straight away. Does anybody know why this might be happening? I've installed Sonar X1 on the spare 2TB hdd.On a possibly related note, some mp3's on the 2TB hdd play for a while and then stop, only to continue playing about a minute later. Driving me nuts.
When I play bf3 after around 45 mins, windows will always change my theme to win7 basic and a popup says "windows detected your performance is slow". I don't think my system is slow xD.

sometimes wmc will slow down the video and sometimes it will pauses for 2 seconds and make some strange noise. how can i stop this? i think its windows doing something in the back ground.
View 4 Replies View RelatedMy computer has become awfully slow after playing Assassin's Creed 2, I was playing then my audio went fuzzy and the fps went down to like 2-3 fps. It has been slow ever since, all my graphics card options reset so I fixed them then tried a registry cleaner.. It worked to some extent but my games are still laggy. my hard drive is clean and I have 4gb of RAM plus an i5, my GPU is a Nvidia GT 540m.
View 1 Replies View RelatedHas anybody come across this before whilst playing Fifa 09. It has only happened to me on windows 7 (7000, 7057 and 7068). It played fine on vista and xp. The screen shots are not very good but basically what is happening is all the players look as if they are on a cross with arms out wide and parallel to the ground. Their feet are also stuck together.
Anybody any ideas besides changing driver. I don't think it's that as it has happened in three different builds now, which all have different drivers anyway. Do you have Fifa 09 running on Win 7? Any input would be greatly received.

I bought this Fujitsu laptop for less than a year. Its only for my school work. It takes forever to bootup, startup and it sometime hangs when I open up a program or typing. For the bootup, it takes very long time on the window logo, after that the black screen, followed by the welcome page with the loading cursor. Each of this process take a long time. For startup, its not so long but its still quite lag. For the opening up of program and typing, everytime I open up my visual studio, it will take a long time to show up and even if it showed up, it will be "not responding".So I will have to open it a second time before I can start using itWhen I am typing my codes, it will randomly hang and show that the program is not responding. I am still able to move my cursor though.

I know where the power button is and how to surf the web but most of my computer experience comes from gaming consoles. Recently I bought a pc with the intention of getting into pc gaming as I was informed that it was a better all round experience. In our office there are 2 people with macs and 2 people with windows. We would like to start gaming against each other over a lan router as we are stationed in china and finding games can often be a nightmare. I would like to know if it is possible to do this and how we would go about it
View 1 Replies View RelatedWhen i game the game will freeze sound still plays but mouse everything locks up. Have to warm reboot. Other times it goes to black screen, and still have to warm reboot. I had this problem starting a year ago. At that time i did mem test, cpu stress test, gpu stress test, all came back fine. Back then it use to reboot itself. So, i figured maybe a psu issue, it was still under warranty so i sent it off, they did find a bad capacitor and replaced! Cool no a month after getting it back started doing as mentioned above. So, at that time i had a 8800GTX 1.5 gig video card in it. So, i spent the money and went to a Geforce 560 GTX 2 gig, eventhough i had stressed tested the 8800. Ok so a week or so went by all good then it started up again. Only has it locked up once while not gaming. Always locks on WOT(world of tanks unless i use the older 275 nvidia driver) DIdnt use to lock up with Diablo III, TSW, SWTOR, SCII. Untill recently sometimes its once or twice a night others its 3 or 6 times. I ran a Mem test a week ago ran for 9 plus hours no errors.
View 6 Replies View RelatedHad this issue a few weeks ago, couldn't fix it. I got fed up and reformatted thinking that would solve a driver issue...but the problem persisted. I finally resorted to swapping out my ATI 6870 to an NVidia 8800 and the problem ceased...for awhile. Now it happens once or twice a day, only while gaming or some other intensive process. I do not know what to do.
