View 3 Replies View RelatedI have inbuilt bluetooth in my laptop (running Windows 7 ultimate) with HP/widcomm drivers installed. I have Sony HBH-DS980 A2DP capable stereo bluetooth headset. I want to use it with my laptop as stereo headphones (listening music) + internet telephony headset (voice chats, skype etc). First of all it was pain to connect the this headphones with laptop. It took me many many many tries to pair this correctly. Now that its connected, I cant get it to make a connection between laptop and headphones. I tried pressing the button on headphone to initiate a connection, and also tried to make connection by pressing the connect button in headset's bluetooth control window with no results. However it does connect once in a while (I would say less than 10% of the times). The same setup used to work fine when I had vista. What is wrong with Windows 7?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'd like to make a desktop shortcut to connect my computer's audio to my Jaybird Freedom BT headset. Right now, I have to go through several windows to get to a "connect" button, when it really should just be a double-click on a "connect" shortcut. So far, my google searches have only turned up instructions on how to make a shortcut to "Bluetooth Devices" window, that shows your paired devices but does not have a "connect" option for them. So for my purposes that shortcut is useless.
View 1 Replies View RelatedMy setup:
Windows 7 64bit Prof (on a suped up PC)
Asus BT211 - BT 2.1 + EDR (full A2DP support with latest Windows 7 64bit drivers - Broadcom Bluetooth 2.1 +EDR driver version 6.3.5.430 (4/8/10)
Sony DR-BT101 Headphones - (Microsoft says they're compatible)
PROBLEM:All BT devices successfully installed and appear to be working. I can even find the A2DP device if I show all hidden devices in Device Manager. The headset pairs with no problems, Remote, Headset, Handsfree Telephony, and Audio Sink Services are available under device properties. However, non of the headphone services are available under "Playback Devices" or "Recording Devices".When I right-click on the Bluetooth system tray icon and select "Open Settings" then click on the "Audio" tab I can see all of the active services from my headset. All services show "disconnected" below them. When I right-click on a service (with the headphones on and in connectible mode - steady flashing blue) I can select "Connect" (the only place in Windows 7 I've found the connect function). When I try to connect, it shows "Connecting" for a minute or two then goes back to "Disconnected". The headset never appears to respond.SO... basically it appears everything should be working, but for some reason it isn't. I can PAIR but I can't CONNECT. I can install services but I can't actually use any of them.
I've tried everything, there must be something I'm missing. Others have said they got these headphones working with Windows 7, many have also had problems not just with these headphones, but a whole range of BT devices and connecting to Windows 7.I also have a Logitech BT MX5000 keyboard and mouse combo and they work fine.... well, when they're not lagging out or dropping out, they work fine.

View 1 Replies View RelatedRecently installed Windows 7 build 7600.
After installing i updated the system using windows update by connecting to the internet via my nokia n70 usb modem by installing the latest nokia pc suite,
during the update it was working fine, but after i restarted the system and again tried to connect to net via same, the nokia one touch access kept on showing opening port and then nothing is happening.
I went to the network adapter setting and clicked on nokia n70 usb modem(OTA)
It shows error 711 that remote access connection manager(RACM) failed to start in time.
Then checked my services there i found that the dependencies of RACM ie secure socket tunneling protocol is not running. I tried to start the service but was showing that sstp starts when it is used by some specific program or else then it automatically turns off.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have just installed the new RC version of Win 7 and getting to grips with it and along the way discovering which software or existing applications will run on/with the new OS, so far not that many problems and Win 7 has XP mode/virtulisation, a very good application but something to be wary of IMO.
My problem lays with my Nokia N 95 8gb phone.
There are no more firmware updates for my phone, but I use the Nokia software to make back ups of my phone contents to my PC, again no problems, under Windows XP home or under Win 7.
I have the most recent Nokia software but am running into problems under Win 7, my Belkin bluetooth dongle and my phone can no longer find each other.
What I do get sometimes is a window informing me some Bluetooth peripheral is missing or can't be found, basically there are some drivers missing but I'm not sure if it's in the nokia software/updater or Win 7, iIf I try to update drivers, I can't boxes are greyed out.
The next issue and I guess connected to the above and a lot more troublesome for me is I use my phone a lot as a camera and upload my pictures using a Belkin Bluetooth dongle, never had a problem until today,
I can not get the phone to recognise or connect to the dongle or vice versa under WIN 7, I cannot transfer a photo from my phone to my PC using Bluetooth, the phone informs me of a failed connection.
The dongle firmware has been updated.
Not a problem I thought, I'll install and run the original dongle software and the original Nokia PC suite software in Win 7 XP mode,( which is XP pro ), nothing doing, I'm running in to the same brick wall and problem.
This has surprised me a bit as everything worked great under my old OS, XP Home.
I have looked at the Nokia forums, no joy, although there does appear to be issues.
Where does the problem lay, can I get my Nokia phone/ bluetooth to run under WIN 7 or in XP mode?

View 2 Replies View RelatedAnyway, the laptop I am using is an Acer Aspire 5251. The website said bluetooth is built in. So on to trying to connect: I go to "Add a Device" and search for Bluetooth devices while I turn on the searching mechanism on my NXT Lego brick. However, my laptop is unable to find it. I know the brick's bluetooth is working fine because it was able to connect to my iPod and even an outdated flip phone. To you NXT owners: what can I do? I will give additional information if inquired.

by the way I have bought my laptop new Toshiba A500 series and there was no bluetooth in it
and when they shipped it to me there was no CD's with it but said to make recovery CD's so I made them buy a wizard.
Seems like I'm having similar issues to others here after a quick search. The one page I've found that said it had answers has a link that comes back saying I cannot access it.
I have a Jawbone Prime that I wish to use with vent and skype but cannot get the bluetooth device peripheral driver to install. I have attempted using the Broadcom software linked in most posts but it does not do anything but remain on the searching for devices page. I've also attempted to use the Asus software that is recommended in some posts but although it installs only provides me with a small window saying there is no bluetooth device present.
The computer finds the headset, but I cannot get it working. Can someone help me?
