Is it possible to change the key of the Windows 7 Enterprise Trial Edition after the 90 days to a VL key of our company? So we do not need to install the OS again?
Warning Message For 90 Trial Version Of W7 Enterprise
I am an IT professional doing Oracle application development remotely for a client. I want to see if the business applications I am running for my client and my company work under Windows 7. What exactly does Microsoft mean when they say "We do not recommend that you install this if you are a not an IT Professional or not professionally managing corporate networks"? Is there something about the trial version that is different from the version that we will get when we purchase the OS?
Upgrade From Win 7 Pro MSDN To Enterprise Trial
I am just wondering if it is possible to "upgrade" from Windows 7 Professional (RTM, MSDNAA version) to the Enterprise 90-days Trial, and this, just by entering a "trial" serial number. In fact, I am at the Microsoft's club of my university, and I am in charge of Bitlocker / Bitlocker To Go, I have to write documentation on it, as we've been testing Ultimate RC, we got this feature, but now, we have Professional RTM which lack this feature.
We managed to get very robust installations (with VPN, drivers and development tools alongside with SQL and SharePoint installation), we prefer not to reinstall/upgrade all PCs and get any risk.
Son my question is: is it possible to retrieve "trial key" from the ISO we got to do something like an "Anytime Onsite Upgrade" by just modifying the serial?
A: Insert a blank DVD into your PC’s DVD drive. Navigate to the downloaded Windows 7 Enterprise 90-Day Trial file. Right-click the file and select Burn disc image , then click the Burn button when the Windows Disc Image Burner dialog appears. A bootable DVD is created. Alternatively, you can commercially-available or free DVD burning programs.
But is possible extract this ISO and "burn" in USB drive or CDS instead of DVD? And Install W7 from USB drive or CDs?
Change Win 7 Beta Key
Okay, before I got and activated my MSDN membership I downloaded the public beta for Win 7 and got a key thru the regular process. Anyway now that my MSDN membership is activated when I go to the software downloads under OS/windows 7 it offers me a new key number that is totally diffrent from the one I origonally got when I downloaded the public beta 7000. Should I change my activation key to the new number or just wait till the RC comes out? I know how to go in and change the key but don't want to do it if its going to mess something up.
Change Wireless Encryption Key Number
Wireless usb adapter is working and can see the networks, but my security key set to something other than Windows # 1 default setting, and I can't find in Windows where to tell it to look at the other key settings. The box opens that asks for the key number, but does not offer an option to select which set of keys to use, and I can't seem to find one anywhere
Product Key Error - Invalid Key For This Version Of Windows
Just successfully installed Win 7(RC) on a partition I created on a Vista(32-bit) Home Premium machine,so now I've set up a dual-boot. Anyways,as I am going to enter the product key that was given with my download it's giving me an "invalid key for this version of Windows" error. And along the process of identifying the cause,I realized I've installed a "Home Premium" version of the RC download;is this how it's supposed to be?
This RC,a Home Premium version? Just want to verify because on the Computer's property page it's saying it's only a "30-day eval copy". How am I going to get another product key for this version of th RC?For what I've read through forums, this RC is supposed to be an Ultimate version? Anybody?
Changing Beta Key To Full Key In MS Issue
As most of you know there are ways to legally change the CD-Key in the registry, why can't MS actually have a patch that when you Purchase Windows 7 that can legally change your current Beta Key into a Legal full version key, saving the trouble of having to do a Full Install of the product, then having to reinstall all your Programs.
I believe this makes sense and would satisfy all those who are now using RC1. You will be purchasing the full product, and getting the DVD with key, so why not make it easier for those already using it.
Function Key F5 Key To S-Video Link Not Working
The first time I used the F5 function key on my Toshiba Satellite Notebook for S-Video link to my TV, the connection worked fine. Now it won't link. Nothing has changed in my configuration since the first time. Scratching my head on this one. Tested the S-Video cord on my wife's vista OS laptop and worked fine. In fact, it was automatic!
Key Is Not A Valid Windows 7 Key
I installed Windows 7 full Edition and when I changed the face with the key (RGQ3V-MCMTC-6HP8R-98CDK-VP3FM) that you my give it displays me the following message:
"the specified product key is not a valid Windows 7 key"
Difference Between Free, OEM Upgrade Key And Retail Upgrade Key
Is there any difference between the "Free" upgrade key to be received for a new computer purchased during the qualifying period, and a retail upgrade key?The last information I had is that the "Free" upgrade from HP/Arvato will not be shipped until after 11/12/09.I have retail upgrades previously ordered from Best Buy. Can I use one of them to upgrade the new computer and use the "Free" upgrade to ugrade a different computer?
Upgrade Vista Enterprise X64 To Win 7 Enterprise X64
I'm trying to upgrade my Vista Enterprise x64 to Windows 7 Enterprise x64 by using the MSDN DVD. This is the Italian version of the Windows 7 Enterprise DVD (x64 and x86), upgrading an Italian installation of Windows Vista Enterprise x64. When I run the installer, it asks me to select between the x64 version of the OS and the x86 version.
I select the x64 version. After thinking on it for a while, the installer kicks me out saying that I can't upgrade from a 64 bit version to a 32 bit version, even though I selected the 64 bit version. If nothing else works, I'll download the 64-bit only ISO from the website, but I'd rather save the hassle - has anyone else had a similar problem?
Blue Screen - Crashes Several Times A Day
I recently upgraded to WIN7 64bit. My computer crashes several times a day and in the event viewer I get the below critical msg:Windows Operating System; Version: 6.1.7600.16385; Event ID: 41; Event Source: Microsoft-Windows-Kernel-Power; Can anyone help.
These computers are only used by me, I imagine it would make sense that since I am "licensing" the software from Microsoft...I am keeping my user count to: 1 and therefor should only need 1 license....
I imagine Microsoft is against this, but what are my options?
A Second Key
I would like to run windows 7 on both of my machines at home, does anyone know if you can buy a second key or do you have to buy another full version and how much does it cost.
How To Get Another Key ?
I download the Windows 7 Release Candidate (RC) and installed it and would like to get another key so I could see how they work together. Where can I get a key?
Key Sticking
This was a problem with Vista and there was a hotfix for this which was, I believe, included is SP1. But I am seeing the same problem with Windows 7. After using "Windows+L" to lock my laptop while I have an RDP full screen session open it causes the Windows key to stick. So that when I log back onto my laptop and use my keyboard Windows 7 assumes that the Windows key is pressed with each key I press.
How Many Computers Can I Use The Key With ?
I would like to try Windows 7 on a laptop and desktop. DO I have to download two copies, get two keys, or can I load the os on both computers with the same key?
What Does Upgrade Key Mean ?
I have Sony VAIO with free upgrade to Windows 7, and I just got my Windows 7 Upgrade DVD with the key, and it's mentioned that it's an upgrade key, I formatted my laptop hard disk, installed Windows 7 RETAIL, entered the key, it's accepted and Windows 7 has been activated. So what does upgrade key mean? And I heard that the key is designed to work on one computer, and will pass online activation 10 times before a phone activation is required, how can I prove my property?
What Do I Do If I Lost My Key ?
recently, I hadn't installed the Windows 7 Beta due to all the files and such on my PC, however, I had a virus on my PC and I had to reformat. Instead of Reformatting, I decided to install Windows 7, but I forgot that the Product key was wiped from my Windows XP Installation, is there a way I could possibly get my Key emailed to directly to me?
Getting A Registration Key
i have been passed the Win7 disk and loaded all ok - but now I need a registrations key ( 32 bit x86 version), can you help , or tell me where else to sign up for a reg key ?
