View 1 Replies View RelatedThere are strange icons when I am in Windows 7 with Office 2007. I first noticed this when I needed to do a project. Because of the lack of new software, I had to save the file in the doc file format. Then, when I tried to open it to edit it, I noticed that the file icon was not right. It was the blank file icon with the Word 2007 icon on it. Then, I noticed that the rtf files have the correct file icon for doc files. The files can still open, but the wrong icon drives me nuts!

View 4 Replies View RelatedIn about a week, I will be starting my own intro to Windows 7.
It is an enforced introduction as my XP m/c failed on Saturday. I know that I will have some software issues with Photoshop CS2 for example but I am hoping that Office 2007 works OK.
In the old Microsoft Word 2003, the user is capable of printing an address on the envelope with an associated bar-code to make the USPS sending process go much faster. I believe this was accessed through E-postage properties. On Word 2007, for some reason, the same functionality is absent. Word 2007 allows you to print an address, however; only absent the bar code. Is there a way to put this functionality back in 2007 or is there an alternative way to activate it?When accessing E-postage properties through the 2007 version, it's saying that you have to install a third party application.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a starter edition of windows 7 that came pre-installed on my HP 110 series mini. I also have a 2007 ms office proffessional CD (even though I plan only to install word, excel, outlook). Will my mini be able to handle those features of MS Office I have described (word, excel, and outlook)? In the event I will need to upgrade, what should I get? Also, would it help if I left out excel ?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have been running Windows 7 Ultimate (64bit) on my computer since December '10 and installed sp1 in February and had noticed no problems. I also have been using Microsoft Office 2007 Ultimate since I first installed the operating system. Now, I cannot use any of my Office Applications. I get an error message stating that "the operating system is not presently configured to run the program". I can't really recall using any of the programs since I installed the service pack. I have run the microsoft genuine software test application and my software checks out fine.
View 1 Replies View RelatedOk this is wierd I have a client using Office 2007 pro and some of her docs that she recently updated and the problem is when she prints the docs text that she deleted is printing over the top of new text she inserted into the doc.
Now when you have said doc open in WORD the deleted text is not there in any view and does NOT show in "print preview".
I opened said doc with WORDPAD and the deleted text shows up at the bottom so its still in the word doc somewhere imbedded so it prints over the top of the actual text in the doc.
how do i get office home and student 2007 to work on my new pc fitted with windows 7 it loads but there are no icons?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI am trying to install office 2007 as part of a system rebuild after installing a new hard drive. I get a window saying install was successful, I can open power point or excel but when I try to open word it hangs up at the word logo page. I have done remove programs in control panel, I have used revo uninstall to try to clean the registry. I suspect a corrupted fragment in the registry but don't know how to get at it.
View 1 Replies View RelatedJust bought a new laptop with Windows7 64bit installed-my first exposure to Windows7. I had Office 2007 installed on my old Dell 32 bit machine. I had also recently pruchased Office 2010 and installed that on my new machine. Now, when I try to open those 32bit 2007 files with 64bt 2011, Iget an error message that "no picture file is available", or words to that effect. When I try to "open with", the only option displayed is "Microsoft Office" with an icon that looks like a picture file. When I try to browse to the proper office program(Excel, for example), there are none of teh Office suite programs displayed, only "Microsoft Office".I can navigate seperately to the proper progran, Excel, etc., and drag the file into the application, and it opens, and all seems to work OK. I "save as" the proper application file, but it still will not open with double-click on the file name.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI now have a new problem, before I managed to open 2007 files by opening Office 2010 and then from inside the application choosing to open a file. The problem I have though is if I just try to open an Office 2007 file then I can't open it, and I can't change the default program to open it. How do you get Office 2010 to open all the Office 2007 files such as word, excel etc?
View 8 Replies View RelatedI've recently got a new machine and had copied my old PST file over. Whenever I go to open it I get "File access is denied. View 1 Replies View RelatedMy new computer came with Office 2010 Starter installed. I believe I activated it. Then I installed my last legal version of Office Home 2007. Now neither one seems to be working properly. I probably should have uninstalled 2010 prior to installing 2007. How do I remove 2010 without screwing up 2007?
