WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR BSOD Crashes
I'm getting regular (every hour or so) BSOD crashes with the following details: This was likely caused by the following module: hardware Bugcheck code: 0x124 (0x0, 0xFFFFFA80047BE038, 0xB2000040, 0x800) Error: WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR I run Vista x64 with a 100% stable system that I've extensively stress tested so I know there is no 'real' hardware issue. Am I correct in assuming this is a driver issue? If so, is there any way I can isolate the driver?

Frequent Crashes, BSoD
I recently built a pc for my nephew but had to leave installing windows to him because of a hardware issue (video card was doa, had to ship it back to newegg). Well, we've had problems with it since installing and have even gotten a couple blue screens in the process (error codes below). The first couple of times he tried to install it he had issues where it would freeze mid install (he eventually got through the install by switching to a ps/2 mouse and keyboard instead of usb, for whatever reason this worked). After installing though he said he has had problems with seemingly random crashes. I had him make sure all drivers were installed, but I suspect we are still having some sort of hardware issue (possibly the mobo?). Can anyone help with the blue screen error reports below: Problem signature: Problem Event Name: BlueScreen OS Version: 6.1.7600.2.0.0.768.3 Locale ID: 1033 Additional information about the problem: BCCode: 3b BCP1: 00000000C000001D BCP2: FFFFF960000A9401 BCP3: FFFFF88007D48150 BCP4: 0000000000000000 OS Version: 6_1_7600 Service Pack: 0_0 Product: 768_1 Files that help describe the problem: C:WindowsMinidump

Constant BSoD Crashes
'Hanging onto Windows XP? See what you're missing.', says Windows 7 ad... Sorry for this dramatic intro, but those BlueScreens have become too frustrating, and they are everything I'd been missing before. My machine is less than 3 years old. From the beginning I have XP onto it. Then, I installed Vista, but after experiencing constant crashes (BSoD), I downgraded it back to XP. Recently, I decided to give Windows 7 a chance. Before that, I ran Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor just to be sure, and everything passed OK. All the devices were rated as compatible, just as my system (AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual 4600+, 2.41 GHz, 1 GB of RAM; Radeon X1600 graphic...). I installed fresh copy of Windows 7, but the same thing is happening - BSod, BSod, BSoD and BSod only - up the 5 minutes after Login. Just like that! I have only updates and drivers over Microsoft update installed. Nothing else! This are only six crash analysis (of many) within past week: On Sun 11/8/2009 3:19:30 AM your computer crashed This was likely caused by the following module: win32k.sys Bugcheck code: 0xA (0xCCB4C38, 0x2, 0x1, 0x828A148C) Error: IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL Dump file: C:WindowsMinidump110809-23421-01.dmp file path: C:Windowssystem32win32k.sys product: Microsoft® Windows® Operating System company: Microsoft Corporation description: Multi-User Win32 Driver

BSOD - I Had Been Having Regular Crashes
Hey Tom's! I hope everyone is well. I'm returning to the community with a problem I was having before. I have just upgraded from Windows 7 RC to Win 7 32 bit Enterprise Edition with no problems. Did a fresh install and had it formatted. Just got my first BSOD/crash, and I had been having regular crashes (about once every 4-5 days) I don't think it's hardware related, probably driver, so I was hoping people could help narrow it down and kill this problem for good. Here's the text of the BSOD: Problem signature: Problem Event Name:BlueScreen OS Version:6.1.7600.2.0.0.256.4 Locale ID:1033 Additional information about the problem: BCCode:1000008e BCP1:C0000005 BCP2:828D1082 BCP3:8C28D920 BCP4:00000000 OS Version:6_1_7600 Service Pack:0_0 Product:256_1 Files that help describe the problem: C:WindowsMinidump

BSOD: Pc Crashes Once In A While , With Blue Screens And Reboot
The pc crashes once in a while , with blue screens and reboot. I had the same prob with winxp so i installed Windows 7 supposing that restarts would stop...But nothing.. So far i have done these: remove the tick on "automatically restart" -> (so i could see the blue screen.. update drivers, with device manager and driver genius -> nothing update bios from asus website -> nothing do check disk -> nothing defrag -> nothing usb legacy support disabled from bios (smwhere read that)->nothing sptd.sys fixed -> nothing Rc task disabled (read that too) -> nothing sleep and hibernation set to never - >nothing run memtest (3.5) but i have difficulties because when it starts testing (single cpu or multiple) at test 2 and 45% reboots. when i choose to run memtest previous version (3.4) it recognizes cpu as pentium 3 and completes the test with 10 errors at test 5. I noticed that asus set to my memories timings 5-5-5-12 and voltage 1,8 , so i put timings 4-4-4-12 and voltage 2.2 (manufacture had these timings although gives voltage 2.0)

Okay. Basically the error happens within minutes of logging into the game. The application either locks up and renders everything useless or it causes a BSOD(error states that a required windows service ended or was shut down) Anyone know how to fix this?

NVidia Display Drivers (9800 GT) Constant BSOD Crashes
Since I've installed windows 7 64 bit I have been receiving constant BSOD crashes sometimes over 5 times a day. I researched around and found a program called blue screen view to log my crashes and kind of saw that the nvidia drivers were causing the blue screens most of the time however other drivers cause it too sometimes. When I uninstall my nvidia 9800 gt driver that windows update installs my computer runs fine with no crashes. However when I let it install the driver or install a new driver over that one it always crashes. If I uninstall the driver and then try and reinstall just the new driver I get an error every time saying that the NVidia setup doesnt recognize my hardware and the setup will exit. So I cannot even install the new drivers without windows update installing it first. I have been reading a lot of similar stories where people with NVidia cards are having BSOD crashes constantly. Microsoft and NVidia you really need to fix this because my computer is pretty much unusable for the past few weeks now. Any one have any fixes or ideas how to fix this problem?

Win7 Crashes When I Turn Off The Monitor
I'm using the RC1 (build 7100 I believe). I have an nVidia GeForce 8600 GT connected via DVI to an Acer p223w monitor set at 1680x1050 resolution. Windows 7 always crashes (reboots) whenever I turn off the monitor (i.e. I press the power button to turn it off). It doesn't crash if the monitor sleeps (via power saving feature); only when I physically turn the monitor off. It doesn't crash Win XP when I turn off the monitor. And after I installed the June 18, 2009 nVidia (beta) Win 7 WHQL drivers, the problem seemed solved as it no longer crashed (tested only twice and on the same day though) when I turned the monitor off but after about a week or so, it started crashing again. I'm currently using the 64 bit version of Win 7 RC1 but I had the same problem with the 32 bit beta version of Windows 7. With the launch date of Windows 7 coming soon, I hope to have this problem resolved by then.

Win7 Crashes And Reboots On Laptop
I have a Toshiba Satellite A300 model and Windows 7 RC 32 Bits. Usually when I have nothing opened and I disconnect the power cord of my laptop, windows 7 gives me a windows kernel error and it restarts. The chance of this error increases when I have software active, and nearly 100% when I'm gaming, with any game. Why this happens?

OK so after buying 64 bit, dual core laptop(l305-S5934 Toshiba) I had a copy of Win 7/64 bit, and after a partition of the drive loaded the 64bit version, and it lo0aded and updated perfectly no issues, down loaded antivirus and few other neat things I wanted, and restarts to a blue screen crash dump.So figured it was bad load, formated that partition reloadd, did it again, ok figured it may be updates and drivers, does it even if I dont update, it just crashes only way ot bring it up is in safe mode. so my quiestion is this as I am sort of a newb on lap tops, could this lap top not like the 64 bit version, yet even though I can up grade to Vista 64 bit?Toshiba Satelite,L305-S5934, 2.0 turion X2 64, RM-70, 3 GB pc-6400 DDR2 Ram, 250 gb hdd.Now its has ran perfectly with Win7 32bit since loading , in fact the Vista partition is having shut down issues and & is stable as a rock. Thanks for any ideas that might give me chance to get the 64bit version going is appreciated.

Win7 Crashes When Try To Boot Win98 In Virtual PC
So I wanted to install 98se in windows virtual PC just to test it out.The install process didn't go to well, but I finally managed to get to the "loading screen".And then windows 7 gave me a Blue screen that said that the 2nd core did not reply with a clock signal in the alloted time or something of the sort.I realize that WVPC doesn't support 98 (and I was just testing it out not really planning to use it too much) , so I'm not really asking for a fix, rather just alerting Microsoft about this.

It will continue to do that infinitum. If I try and go to "Safe Mode" windows says it has not finished installed yet and will not let me.The PC was running Unbutu up until now, and has been a stable box working as a Video Server. BSOD On Win7 RC
I just purchased a new PC with an i7 920 9GB Ram etc. and its a state of the art system for the money, or so I thought. I have done a clean install to Windows 7 RC, but unfortunatly I have run into some random phantom BSODS. The error message is : Clock interrupt was not received on a secondary processor within the allocated time interval. I know you may think this is a hardware failure, but I ran numerous stress tests on all components with Prime95 etc., and no crashes. It normally occurs if I have resumed from sleep or hibernate, anywhere from 5 minutes to an hour later. I dont think I have had one BSOD yet druing aa cold boot. I have read that this was a problem on Server R2 beta for some time, but I do not have any solutions. While I think it could be related to Power Management or Networking, I am not sure. Thanks for your help, full system specs below. I also attached the DUMP file from the BSOD and the data that came from a basic debugger.

BSOD With Games On Win7 RC
My experience with RC has been pretty good so far, but now it's starting to give me BSOD when I try to play to games. This happens in Brothers in Arms: ____'s Highway, but it has also occurred with COD5 if I remember correctly. Any advice on how to stop it? I'm using build 7100 64-bit edition and my drivers are up to date except that I had to use the ones intended for Vista 64 bit because there, not surprisingly, wasn't a version for Windows 7.

BSOD On Win7 Install
I'm attempting to install on a Gigabyte MB with an Athlon 64 processor an ATI video card, a Turtle beach sound card, 1 gig RAM, 2 IDE hard drives, 1 SATA hard drive, a CD / RW and a DVD/RW. I burned a DVD from the ISO and set up to do a clean install to the channel 0 slave drive. The machine boots off the DVD and the fancy dancing dots get started followed by a BSOD (on two tries) with the following:STOP 0x0000009c (0x000000004, 0x8b749da8, 0x00070f0f)The log file created on the target drive is 0 bytes in size so no help there. My normal system boots off the SATA drive and is XP Pro with all updates. I suspect some sort of hardware conflict but as to what.

Various BSOD Errors Win7 64-bit
First off, some information about my system: CPU: Intel i5-750 RAM: 4GB G.Skill 10666 (1333 Mhz) DDR3 Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-P55M-UD2 GPU: HIS Radeon 4850 1 GB HDD: Western Digital Caviar Black 640 GB PSU: Corsair 550VX 550W PSU OS: Windows 7 64-bit All of my drivers are updated. CPU/GPU/System temperatures are all consistently nominal. RAM has passed dozens of memory test passes (I let it go earlier 26 times without errors being detected.) GPU, CPU, and RAM are running at stock speeds. I've checked the HDD. For four days after my build, my PC ran perfectly with no hang-ups (and is currently doing the same... for now.) The last three or so days I have received various STOP errors, including the following: MEMORY_MANAGEMENT BAD_POOL_HEADER PAGE_FAULT_IN_A_NONPAGED_AREA and a few other areas. This occurs seemingly at random sometimes, but more prevalently while browsing. Both Firefox and IE8 will crash, and as soon as I clock close program, the computer gives me one of these errors. I've used System Restore to return me back to the state my computer was seemingly stable in, and it worked! For one day only. It returned to it's buggy state with no addition or modification on my end. In the Event Viewer, I have dozens upon dozens of errors about services being stopped, but none really mention hardware specifically. What could be going wrong?

EXPLORER.EXE Crashes, MMC.EXE Crashes, Moviemaker.exe Error
I want to love Win7 so badly, but this is just crazy. I'm about to go back to good old XP, simply for the stability. I'm about fed up with Windows 7 after only using it for two weeks. Off of a brand new and formatted clean install, with only Norton NIS 2010, Itunes, Adobe Reader, and Firefox 3.5.7 installed, I get constant explorer.exe crashes. Shortly followed by an mmc.exe crash, then it just gets caught up in a never-ending explorer.exe crash that only a reboot resolves, for a short time. All drivers are up to date, and all Win 7 updates have been applied. I've even formatted and re-installed Win7 only to have explorer begin crashing a day later. This is all on a stock Dell Inspiron 545 quad core, 8GB RAM, etc. I'm very tech savvy and am about jump off of the Win 7 bandwagon. Maybe the Apple Mac commercials are correct, another fumbled attempt at a stable OS from Microsoft? After extensive reading, it appears that many others are suffering through this ____ also. Some get it while attempting to right click any icon, some when launching apps, some, like me , for no apparent reason at all. I don't ever get the BSOD, but the computer is essentially non-functional due to explorer restarting all the time. I've done a ton of reading and have tried sfc /scannow, which found no errors. I've tried shellexview, to no avail for the context handlers. I've uninstalled and re-installed all non-MS apps. I've tried everything that I've read, and it eventually starts crashing again. It is very random, and I can find no patterns that cause the explorer crashing. It works for two days, then goes haywire. Sometimes it only works for an hour before the explorer crashes begin. And yes, this is a fully licensed and legal copy of Win 7 Pro that I purchased through CDW. A side note, this computer ran WIN XP perfectly. All hardware has been tested and is perfect. If anyone has found a fix for this issue, then please chime in! Below are the errors that populate the Event Viewer: Activation context generation failed for "c:program files (x86)windows livephoto galleryMovieMaker.Exe".Error in manifest or policy file "c:program files (x86)windows livephoto galleryWLMFDS.DLL" on line 8. Win7 Install BSOD With Igdkmd64.sys
So recently I attempted the jump from 32-bit to 64-bit in the form of Windows Vista 32 to Windows 7 64. My processor has 64-bit architecture (It's a Q9400), so I assumed if I did a clean install of windows 7 and formatted Windows Vista off of my hard drive completely, that I would not have an issue. When (I think) i'm almost done with the installation, and when windows is "starting up", the BSOD comes up with the error.

BSOD On Win7 X64 Build 7100
I've recently replaced my Win7 (7100) x32 with the x64 version in order to make use of more memory (not yet installed). However, although the rig I'm using had no problems in x32, it keeps BSODing in x64. Are there any commonly known reasons for BSODs in x64 when not in x32? I have all drivers installed, updated and seemingly working. I get a BSOD within about 20 mins of booting usually. No temp issues with CPU - all under 30 idle and BSOD isn't necessarily when the CPU is stressed. Specs: Quad Core 2.4 Q6600 Asus P5K Mobo Asus 8800GTX 2*1Gb Corsair XMS2
