Wifi Adapter Not Recognized
I have a problem with Windows 7 Release Candidate (beta rev7100). I have a Linksys Wireless-B (WUSB11V4) network adapter that I use to connect to my wifi router. It works fine under my Windows XP. However, as I installed Win7 beta, I didn't find any way to make it work. Tried to find a driver, but it does not seems to exist for Win7.
Tried to install the driver I got with it, but it doesn't seem to work as it's for Windows XP. Tried to make Win7 recognize it by its own ways, but failed. The adapter's a 802.11b. Is that too old for Windows 7?
By the way, when I try to plug it out, I hear a sound and when I plug it in again, I hear another one, but it does not seem to be the "hardware recognized" sound.
Can anyone help or send a driver for windows 7?

Nintendo WiFi USB Adapter
Windows 7 sees the adapter right off the bat names it right but does not install drivers for it. So I tried to use some hacked buffalo drivers that lets me create a softAP and open the adapter up to all devices. -on XP sp2 Seems the drivers are not valid for vista 64bit / Windows 7 So I tried the latest drivers from Nintendo 1.7 and still no luck I try to run the software it says no drivers for my OS and I try to install it manually in DevMang. Any one have a solution to this?

USB Wifi Adapter Settings
I have a few problems and I also can not find the settings I should choose for my USB wifi adapter. I need help as far as what the settings should be in the Properties box for my Wireless connection and the configuration settings for my adapter. As for my connection problems my power settings are at max for my wifi but I recently noticed a few problems: my connection gets lost every 4 or 5 minutes and then it comes back again. If I look at too many videos or pictures in a quick time period I loose connection. I have flushed the dns already and I do not have a cap from my provider Sometimes everything shows connected but with a limited connection I am using Windows 7 with a USB wifi adapter. If someone can give me what my settings should be for the two places I mentioned above this could be a great start. I also created a txt file using ipconfig/all > %userprofile%desktopipconfig.txt but I do not want to post any personal info so let me know whats ok to post from this file..

Wifi Printer Adapter Input
I don't even know if I am putting this in the right forum, but here goes. I am a novice at this, so if I use the wrong terminology, don't "hit" me too hard. My question is in two parts: 1. I have a desk top computer connected to high speed internet using a Actiontec M1000 modem I have Qwest as my provider). I have an HP Deskjet F4235 attached to this pc with a usb cable. I got a wifi adapter to put on top of my modem so I could access it using my laptop that is elsewhere in the house. I want to be able to print to the printer on the pc from my laptop. I am running Windows 7 Ultimate on my desk top and Windows XP Pro on my laptop. A person at work (not a paid IT person) said to be sure that my printer was set up as being "shared" and told me how to do this---it was already set up. He said then go into my laptop , open the printer folder, hit Add printer, select network option and it should auto-detect the printer. This did not work. He then said to go to the desk top and bring up the command prompt and type "net view penny-pc" (penny-pc is the name of my desk top). This I did and it showed the printer as being shared. He said then to try the same command from my laptop and I should see it. I did this and get the two line message "System error 5 has occurred. Access is denied." What now? (remember I am a really big novice, so please explain in simple terms---sorry). I understand that both the desktop computer and printer must be on to do this and that the desktop can't be in sleep mode. 2. Sometime in the future I may want to be able to access the printer from my laptop without having to have the desktop printer it is connected to hooked up. How can this be done? Does it cost an arm and a leg or can it be done relatively cheaply? Will it affect the ability for the laptop to use the printer?

Atheros AR5007 802.11b/g WiFi Adapter
I'm using the Atheros AR5007 802.11b/g WiFi Adapter and the specs of this adapter say that I should get speeds up to 54 Mbps. I'm only getting to 16 Mbps even though the speed in the connection status says 54. I have used it with 2 different wifi routers (Linksys and Asus),with 2 different IPS and with both the actuall speed will not go over 16 Mbps. If i connect using a cable to those routers I get speeds way over 54 Mbps. I have the latest Windows 7 x64 drivers from windows update. Does anyone have any ideea if there is anything wrong with my card or this is there a way to speed it up ?

Dynex WiFi Adapter Not Working On 7057 (DX-EBUSB)
I installed Build 7057, and my Dynex Enhanced Wireless-G USB Adapter (DX-EBUSB) won't work. The problem started with the device just ceasing to work after 5-10 minutes of use. I uninstalled and "reinstalled" the drivers, and there's still no luck. The device can detect my Router, but it won't connect to it. I get the "limited access" popup. Something else to note is that during the driver installation, it gives a "Please plug in the device to a USB port" message, although it won't recognize the plugged-in device. Weird, eh? This is weird, since I was able to DL the 64-bit driver for Vista/Windows 7 Build 7000, and it would work.

Intel 5150 WiFi/WiMax Adapter Doesnt Work With 7?
I've tried everything. I've spent hours on Intel's site, and let me just say that was an absoulte joke. You have to search deep into their search thing to find the windows 7 driver for it. Then it doesn't work. I've been to Dell's website (I'm running a Dell Studio XPS 16) and I can download it, but then I get an error saying I cannot downgrade versions. The computer recognizes the WiMax portion, but not as WiMax. It just says there is an error with "The WiMax adapter" but it doesn't actually know what it is. Same run around with the drivers in this case as well. The WiFi light on the front of the computer does not come on. My bluetooth one does, but not the WiFi. I've tried switching in on and off with no luck as well. So far Intel and Microsoft, I'm not impressed. Looks like my desktop will be staying XP and it's a good thing I added this as a second OS to my laptop because it sure won't last long with me hunched under the desk like this to get internet. Can anyone help me out?

Microsoft Virtual Wifi Miniport Adapter Code 31 Error
I have a brand new Dell XPS running 64 bit Windows 7. Getting an exclamation point on the "microsoft virtual wifi miniport adapter" in device manager. Details say that the computer can't load the drivers (code 31). Can't find any newer drivers on the microsoft website. Tried uninstalling it, per tech support at Dell. Keeps getting reinstalled, still with exclamation point. I can disable it, but why can't I use it? Getting random blue screens of death when trying to install other drivers and/or search for wireless devices. I've seen others with this exact same problem, but haven't been able to find a solution. Anyone?

Dell Inspiron 1501 Onboard Wifi Adapter Driver
I was searchn on the net for Dell Inspiron 1501 help. Subject of help needed: Dell Inspiron 1501 onboard wifi card not working with Windows 7 Ultimate and NEED help getting a working driver. I have a Dell Inspiron 1501 currently using XP w/SP3 as I'm typing now. I have made a Acronis backup image of my Dell 1501 laptop so I can quickly within 30 min.s pop back my Windows 7 Ultimate back on when I can either find and get a Dell Inspiron 1501 onboard wifi driver that works OR buy a 100% sure Windows 7 USB wireless adapter with driver. I have freshly formatted hd and fresh full install of Windows 7 Ultimate and seems to load and work great BUT..... I went to Dell support / Driver download website page and I entered in our Dell Service Tag number and in the drag box, they are NO Windows 7. So, I'm guessing they do not support and offer a Windows 7 driver for my onboard wifi card? I currently have stinky dialup internet and live in a rurual country area but sometimes go up in town to visit a spot that has cable wifi connection. My onboard wifi card with XP works great.. I have installed Vista and the drive for my onboard wifi card works fine. I went in to town to connection to cable with wireless router high speed connection to get Windows 7 updates but this onboard wifi card seems to recieve and reports wifi signals fine but trying to get it to connect and go is another. I have tried many many different wifi signals and areas and this onboard wifi card with Windows 7 does not want to work. I'm guessing it needs a Windows 7 driver. Do you think its not working cause of the driver too? I need help finding out if they are anyone else with a Dell Inspiron 1501 have Windows 7 and have they found a Windows 7 driver work? If I wanted to buy a 100% sure best range hottest USB wireless adapter coming with Windows 7 driver, what Name and Model would you recommend?

Hp Tx 1000: Broadcom A/b/g/n Wireless Adapter Not Recognized
I installed Win7 and Vista on 2 partitions on my HP tx 1420us tablet PC. It perfectly worked for several days, but now suddenly the Broadcom 802.11 a/b/g/n Adapter isn't recognized (by both systems!) any more. If I try to install the Hp-provided driver in 7 or Vista again, it most often doesn't work and still isn't listed in the Device Manager, but sometimes it works after a restart, but after several more restarts it doesn't work again. Even System Restore point right after it worked after next reboot doesn't work at all.

Linksys PCI Adapter Not Recognized After Installation
Did a clean install of the 32-bit vesion on a Dimension 8300 using a new partition. So now I'm able to dual boot to XP or Win 7. I have a Linksys WMP54G PCI adapter that works fine with my XP setup but Win 7 is not recognizing it. I looked around the forums and followed a couple of advices but no luck: I started the WLANAutoconfig service I removed the adapter, installed the driver, shut down, installed the adapter. After I restart the adapter setup wizard doesn't come up. When I look in Devices->Network Adapters I don't see the Linksys. I tried all I know to find the adapter but it's all failing. I do use an SSID and the security is WPA. Anything else?

Dynex USB Wireless-N Adapter Not Recognized
I am running the 64 bit version of Windows 7 RC on a machine I built. I have a (admittedly cheap) Dynex USB Wireless-N adapter. I am using the Vista Driver. I have a continuing problem with the adapter not being recognized. I pretty much have to remove and reinstall it each time I restart the computer. I contacted the manufacturer and all they said is that they never tested the device for Windows 7 and that I should ask Microsoft for drivers. Does anybody know of other drivers that might work or if there is a way to install my adapter so that it remains recognized?

Terrible Wifi Support
So I have had issues with multiple wifi cards and Win 7 32 bit. The only ones I've gotten to work are laptop wifi cards, and have had some show stopping issues with certain Dell wifi chipsets. I know that a large number of wifi manufacturers use ralink chipsets which have many known issues with Win 7. I've had an old Linksys USB 54G that has worked up to Vista, then started giving me problems starting with Vista. They eventually sorted out the driver issues, but it's a big no go with Win 7, period. I'm in the market for a new card, but I'm very reluctant to purchase anything until I have this answered. A good solid wifi PCI card (or USB, but PCI preferred) that has ROCK SOLID driver support in Win 7. Is there an HCL for Win 7 somewhere that I'm missing? I'm not seeing any wifi cards with the Win 7 logo just yet.

Wifi Network Printer
I have a HP photosmart 4500 series WIFI printer on my network (it is NOT USB attached). The Windows 7 system can see it on the network and when I add either as a WIFI printer or device it adds the device to devices and printers but will not print a test page (in fact the printer folder never shows the document as present). I see 2 different problems. On my user account (WIN7) although the add completes (the system tray says installing software and then successful message), I get a flashed up message for a second that says driver failed. Using Administrator I don't get the error message. Either way it doesn't work . Displaying properties shows the printer, IP address and a HP driver Any ideas? I do not want to have to install via USB as this printer is shared by several laptops in my home

Issues With USB Wifi Recievers
I used to have an Edimax EW-7711uan USB reciever. When I try to install it with the the reciever plugged in, the prograss bar stuck and didn't move. I plugged out the reciever and the installation was completed. But after that, the software that runs the reciever cannot detect the reciever when I plug it in, and windows can't find a proper driver to run the reciever. The real headache is that when the reciever is plugged in, I can't either shut down my computer or boot it up(after the windows loading screen, everything went black) I thought it was the manufacture's problem of not making the driver work on windows 7. So I bought a Tenda W311U reciever and the same problem occured: Can't install while the reciever is attached and the software can't detect that damn reciever. But this time Windows says they've found a driver that can run the reciever as soon as I pulled out the new reciever. But I still can't make it to work.
