I need the drivers of my Sony VAIO VGN-CR42n for Windows 7, I can't use my webcam now.
Please, if anyone know about how to get this drivers.

i want to ask if i install windows 7 on my sony vaio laptop, if windows finds all drivers needed to works correctly, because my computer have pre installed vista, and if problem comes after windows 7 installation, i haven't got windows vista cd to format it and install them again, i have a genuine cdkey that have laptop when bought it,but not cd.

It's a Sony VGN-NW265F/(B???) (Idk what the difference between the F and F/B is but on my laptop it is listed as just VGN-NW265F..I do have the Blu-ray player option though is that what the B stands for?) anyways Device Manager is showing: Base System Device Device type: Other Devices Manufacturer: Unknown Location: PCI bus 11, device 3, function 2 Device status The drivers for this device are not installed. Sony VAIO Vgn-sz430n Drivers
I have a sony vaio vgn-sz430n running Windows Vista Business. I upgraded to Windows 7 and it went off without a hitch until the first log in. The desktop will not fill the screen and it only gives me two options for resolutions: ~1024x768 and 800x600. I went to device manager and found that my display driver is now standard vga driver. The laptop has an nvidia geforce go 7400 graphics card and, from what I've read, it also shares memory with onboard integrated graphics...I think. I read other threads suggesting methods to fix this problem but none of them have worked. I tried downloading the windows 7/vista driver for that nvidia graphics card from nvidia but the setup program says no compatible hardware found. I tried pointing Windows 7's driver installation (from device manager) to the driver's location in the setup folder but it tells me the most current driver is already installed and no update is needed. I even tried modding the driver (as suggested on another thread) but that didn't work.

I just checked Sony's website about upgrading to Windows 7 and it says that it does not meet the min. req. and Sony will not be issuing any drivers. Has anyone successfully upgraded a Vaio VGN-NR260e from Vista Home Premium to Windows 7? If yes, any gotcha's?

Vaio VGN-FZ31Z Driver Issues
I recently upgraded from vista home premium 32-bit to 7 proffesional 64-bit on my 18 month old vaio VGN FZ31Z and have discovered that my touchpad now has scrolling issues, my multimedia control buttons don't work and most importantly to me, my graphics card (nVidia geForce 8600M) no longer works (I get almost slideshow like video playback and windows tells me there is no detectable video memory available). I gather these are all driver related problems but as sony seem to have said they're not releasing drivers unless your notebook was purchased since june this year and the download available direct from nvidia says it's not compatible with vaio (presumably because sony want to handle it themselves) I don't know how to fix it. Anyone able to shed any light over this for me?

got a sony viao VGN-NW20EF for xmas with windows 7 and im liking it already (last os i used was xp not vista) but i have already stumbled across a problem when i go to put music on my laptop i go to documents/music and put it in there BUT i want it in my library in media player so i dragged it all into there but it doesn't recognize it when i re-open media player so im all a it confused..

I installed Windows 7 (64-Bit) on my Sony Vaio laptop (VGN-FW11E) yesterday coming from Vista (32-Bit). Everything is running ok but i have one problem. On Vista i used to scroll up and down using my touchpad however on Windows 7, that function seems to have disabled. On Vista there also was a touchpad setting where i could set my touchpad functions, but which i can no longer find on Windows 7. When i installed Windows 7, i understand that i cannot carry over all the sony vaio programs onto Windows 7 (because my laptop is too old apparently) but is there anyway to adjust my touchpad setting? I have always used the touchpad scroll function and it is kind of annoying not having it.

Sony Vaio VGN-AR790U/B Issue
My Notebook is a Sony Vaio VGN-AR790U/B which shipped with Vista 32-bit. Recently I upgraded it with a clean install of windows 7 Professional 64-bit. Using various drivers, I’ve been able to get nearly everything working. My problem is that ever since installing Windows 7, my notebook runs VERY hot, as in far too hot to sit on my lap and even worse is the fact that the wrist pad area gets too hot to even type for more than a few minutes at a time. The fan seems to be operating but at a very slow speed which can’t be heard but it is always on. With Vista the same fan would go on and off and when it was on at full blast it was pretty loud. I have not made any changes to my Bios and upon entering the Bios; I can't see any options to make any type of changes to anything other than the boot order and password options. I really don't want to go back to Vista but the heat problem is too much to live with. Any suggestions would be very much appreciated. BTW’ even though the system runs very hot, it has never shutdown even after running it for 48 hours at a time more than once now.

I have a Sony Viao VGN-CR320E sony doen''t have any Windows 7 Drivers and near as they can tell will not be supporting it on this model. Will Microsoft be assisting people with Vista only Laptops in drivers for it. I get the Wireless net working but I cannot get anything else. The Bluetooth, the USB, or the built in Camera have no support and I cannot use them at all in Windows 7. I will admit it does respond faster then it does in Windows Vista. But the I get good response time from Windows Xp as well.

Sony VAIO VGN-FE4 Problem
Have tried installing original Vista driver from Sony using compatability mode, install as administrator; have tried an updated driver from Sony that fixed a 'no sound' problem post Vista SP1, and have tried letting Windows 7 find compatable driver, which it did, a Windows 7 RC driver. BUT each time there is no sound. I've checked speakers are not on mute, system & speaker volume at 90% and when music file playing in itunes I can see the volume level indictator fluctuating but no sound. Also no sound when I test the speakers. Speakers worked fine with Vista. Also very intersting is when I use Headphones I can just hear the music faintly! I'm at a loss - any ideas?
