Upgrade From Win 7 Pro MSDN To Enterprise Trial
I am just wondering if it is possible to "upgrade" from Windows 7 Professional (RTM, MSDNAA version) to the Enterprise 90-days Trial, and this, just by entering a "trial" serial number.In fact, I am at the Microsoft's club of my university, and I am in charge of Bitlocker / Bitlocker To Go, I have to write documentation on it, as we've been testing Ultimate RC, we got this feature, but now, we have Professional RTM which lack this feature. We managed to get very robust installations (with VPN, drivers and development tools alongside with SQL and SharePoint installation), we prefer not to reinstall/upgrade all PCs and get any risk. Son my question is: is it possible to retrieve "trial key" from the ISO we got to do something like an "Anytime Onsite Upgrade" by just modifying the serial?

Upgrade Xp In Other Language Than English
I am a XP user in Holland, so I used Dutch as a language for my computer. I know I could use the English, but so it is. I tried to upgrade my computer to Windows7, but it says that an other language is not possible. When I read the dixtionary files online then I red that it is still possible with some extra actions. Is this true or do I red it wrong?

I tried to upgrade my vista home premium (Italian) with the win 7 RC (en-Us) upgrade but it says i can't because of the language difference. is there a way to do it? I don't want to start a clear installation. can i change the language of windows vista in some way to make it work?

I get some problems when installing Windows 7. (no network drivers). So I thought about a Upgrade Install and the drivers might work then. But It tells me that i need to have the same language in my system that I have on my windows 7 installation disk. How do I solve this?

I have notebook with Vista Business English version and I would like to upgrade to W7 Professional German or Ultimate German version. I must buy FPP version. (computer is not qualified in the Windows 7 Upgrade Option Program) Question is if is possible to upgrade from Vista Business English to W7 where i can keep my files and settings or must I choose the custom option and I will lost all my settings and files please?

Can't Do An Upgrade Install - Different Language
I'd like to do an upgrade install of Windows 7 Beta. Unfortunately, my current OS (Vista Ultimate 64) is in Italian, thus I cannot upgrade. I even tried to install the English language pack and I made sure to set the language in English. The problem is I cannot uninstall the Italian language as Windows tells me that it's the system language. Is there any way to make Windows think that English is the default language of my computer? I really don't want to make a clean install.

Upgrade Vista To Win7 - Changing Language
I am living in Beijing, China at present and am about to buy a new Lenovo Ideapad Laptop. This comes with Windows Vista Home Premium Preinstalled (Chinese Version). I then intend to use the Free Windows 7 Upgrade Program to acquire Eglish language media It is clear in Microsoft's documentation that this is not a supported upgrade path. However, assuming I can get Lenovo to provide the English Language Windows 7 upgrade media, I should be able to do a clean install as per Doing a Clean Install with a Upgrade Windows 7 Version and Paul Thurrot's Method. In fact this would be the method for achieving any unsupported upgrade path, eg: Vista 32 -> 7 64 Vista 64 -> 7 32 Chinese Vista -> English 7 Can anyone confirm that this is true, particularly for the language upgrade.

Digitalriver Student Promotion: Wrong Language Upgrade
I recently purchased Win7 x64 upgrade through the Canadian student promotion I got through e-mail. Download worked fine, everything worked fine until I started installing the upgrade... I got the promotional e-mail in English, my Vista version is French... Nothing in the e-mail and the purchasing process mentionned that there were multiple language versions... So now I can't upgrade since we can't upgrade fr-CA to en-CA... Anyway to get an fr-CA upgrade download in replacement? I sent 2 messages to digitalriver with my order number and never got any reply (that was a month ago).And a suggestion: the language issues should be clearly indicated on the website, I didn't even know I had an english-only version before I started installing it.

We currently run 3 PCs at home (all 32 bit): PC 1: German Windows Vista Home Premium PC 2 & 3: English Windows XP Home I'd like to purchase the Windows 7 family pack (English) to upgrade all of the PCs (clean install preferred). Questions: 1. Can all 3 PCs be upgraded to the English version of Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit with the family pack, despite the different language versions? 2. Win 7 Trial Version
My computer has currently Vista 32 home premium and found recently unknown directory on c:. That directory was locked when I tried to remove manually, and computer turned off if I tried to unlock using unlocker. The OS on my computer is OEM, I don't have CD, and I decided to install window 7 trial version until it comes on market. I had a friend build a new computer for me and he put the trial verison of Windows 7 on it. I have upgraded it to the RC version of Windows 7. Will the upgrades for Windows 7 that are currently being offered as pre-sales, do me any good since I do not have a previous version of Windows on my computer? I do not have Vista, nor do I have XP. The only operating system I have is the trial version of Windows 7. Does that mean I have to buy a full copy of Windows 7 and not the Upgrades? And if so, will there be any advance sales for the full versions with possibly discounts for uses of the trial version of Windows 7?

Warning Message For 90 Trial Version Of W7 Enterprise
I am an IT professional doing Oracle application development remotely for a client. I want to see if the business applications I am running for my client and my company work under Windows 7. What exactly does Microsoft mean when they say "We do not recommend that you install this if you are a not an IT Professional or not professionally managing corporate networks"? Is there something about the trial version that is different from the version that we will get when we purchase the OS?

Download 90 Days Trial Windows 7 - Server Returns Error
I try to download the 90 days Trial of Windows 7.When i start the MS Download Manager it returns after connecting "The Server returns a error message. Try again?" - what is the problem? i all I'm downloading W7 Enterprise TRIAL (90days). I have read in FAQS: Q: How do I create an installation DVD? A: Insert a blank DVD into your PC’s DVD drive. Navigate to the downloaded Windows 7 Enterprise 90-Day Trial file. Right-click the file and select Burn disc image , then click the Burn button when the Windows Disc Image Burner dialog appears. A bootable DVD is created. Alternatively, you can commercially-available or free DVD burning programs. But is possible extract this ISO and "burn" in USB drive or CDS instead of DVD? And Install W7 from USB drive or CDs?

3Dmark Vantage (Trial Version) Causing A Blue Screen Of Death
When I installed the program it installed flawlessly. Yet when I go to run the test itself instead of starting to play video I consistently get a blue screen of death. I can try to replicate it more and get the exact message if it would be helpful. Anyone have any ideas? All of my video card drivers are up to date.

I am going to order my free windows 7 upgrade . The problem is i want to choose different language for order (my current language is russian and i want to install english). Difference Between Language
Does anybody here was able to see the difference between a Windows 7 installation disk in another language than English and a Windows 7 installed in English + a language pack (MUI)? Personally, I don't see any. But I think my MUI (French) is still incomplete because there is some places in Windows which are still in English. Note: The question is valid for any language.

Foreign Language Support
I notice in the compare section on Windows 7 it has "Work in the language of your choice and switch between any of 35 languages" as a feature available only in Windows7 Ultimate. Does this mean that Home Premium and Professional will not allow me to work in a language besides English if I don't have Ultimate?

I've downloaded and installed Windows 7 RTM. Every thing is OK, but my Windows 7 doesn't support Japanese, Chinese and Korean language. When I open file or visit website that have that language, they can display. I also want to type Japanese in this version, but I cann;t find the Windows IME.

Run Different Language Programs
How do i keep the OS in English, but run another program as a different language There should be an option to have a program always run as a set language I would like to be able to run an English, Japanese and Korean program side by side, not reset the computer just to run one app. I Know about applocal, but some times it does not cut it and the program fails to run properly. Windows should let me run a program from any country, not just one at a time.

Keep Changing Language Into Portuguese
I have just purchased a new laptop with Windows 7 Home Premium installed on it. I chose Traditional Chinese as the system language when I activated the Windows. Everything went smoothly until I shut down and restart the machine. The system automatically update itself and install Portuguese as the default language. I can't do anything about this but recover the system and so keep losing the softwares or other updates that I have installed.

Language Packs For W7 - Import From VISTA
Anybody know if during the RC other language packs will be available. If not could I "Poodlefake" or Backport the language packs from the VISTA system. I'd like to try the Icelandic pack so some of our "Normal" i.e non technical users back home can check / try Windows 7. (Of course they all speak excellent English -- like most Scandanavian countries English is a mandatory language in Schools here and even as adults around 90% here speak it fluently but it would be nice to test Windows 7 in a "Working environment" away from the IT testing areas to see how it performs in day to day work. (Maybe not 100% mission critical stuff but for reasonably robust office situations).
