Unable To Switch Language With Alt+shift Keyboard Shortcut
My problem is very simple: the alt+shift shortcut that usually changes between input languages is not working. In the general tab of Text Services and Input Languages, I have one language, English(Canada) with two keyboard layouts (US and Canadian French).
In the Advanced Key Settings tab, it says that the Action: Between input languages is associated with Key sequence: Left Alt + Shift. This has always worked well in XPÂ and Vista, but seems to be broken in windows 7. Thanks for your help. By the way, all other shortcuts (Alt+Tab, Ctrl+Alt+Del, etc.) work well, so my keyboard is NOT the issue.

Keyboard SHIFT Key Stuck
My keyboard and mouse are acting mostly like I'm holding down the SHIFT key. Nothing I do corrects this including Ease of Access settings. What's strange is that when I reboot, it works fine for about 5 minutes. After that, it gets crazy. All the number keys at the top will only display special characters (as if shift key is being pressed). Same with all the other character keys like .,;l[] The keypad numbers function like cursor keys. If the NUM LOCK is on (or off, not sure which) it they function like SHIFT-ARROWS. Letter keys are either all caps or all lowercase depending on ALPHA LOCK, but SHIFT doesn't make a difference. The mouse will select everything to the left of what I click on. It's driving me crazy as you might expect. Really need some help. This may be related to software I tried to install on Win7 (64bit) on an Acer Desktop. Seems like it started after installing Logitech Webcam software (I've since uninstalled it). In fact, a popup showed up asking if I wanted to keep using Sticky Keys (see below) or something like that. I wasn't using Sticky Keys so I thought that was odd. EDIT: Correction, it was Filter Keys, not Sticky Keys. The same popup just showed up when I created a new USER. "Do you want to turn on Filter Keys?"Â

Make A Shortcut To Switch Video Card Display
I have a HD TV and my LCD monitor connected to my video card, and right now I go into the basic Win7 menu to switch which monitor my PC displays to. I'm wondering if there is anyway to make a shortcut to switch back and forth between displays, without having to go into the menu every time. Keyboard Stuck On English Language After Each Reboot
I use a lot the french language for my email and everytime i reboot i get the english keyboard showing. I put it back to french and it comes back the next time i reboot. I wish to have the option to choose the language and keep it everytime i open my computer. Maybe you guys can fix that bug ?

Norwegian Keyboard Language Missing Characters
It seems to me when I have the "Norwegian Bokmål" set as keyboard language there are several characters on my keyboard which does not longer match their corresponding keys. For instance; @ So for me to be able to type that char, there are other chars as well, i have to change to the English US language for instance. And then if I need to type Norwegian characters like æøå i have to switch back to the norwegian keyboard language. It's no big deal to use the hotkeys to switch, it's just getting annyoing since this was never an issue with earlier versions of windows. I also tried to onscreen keyboard with the norwegian keyboard layout, the @ is simply missing on the onscreen keyboard. To be honest I can't remember this being an issue when I first had installed windows 7. Not sure if this issue started after installing the English language pack. Anyone have a clue on how to resolve this?

Keyboard Mouse Not Recognized On KVM Switch
On my new Acer M7720 (X58 Core-i7-920) I have Vista HP 64 bits working fine with an Conceptronic 2 port KVM switch so I can also use keyboard, mouse & monitor on my old PC. On the new Acer I also installed Windows 7, but here the mous and keyboard are not recogized when connected through the KVM switch. I have to stick both in the front site USB ports, then baoth are working. When I stick them in the KVM switch, you can here the USB connect sound and both devices are shown under unknown devices, wereas the are shown under devices when connected through the front side USB ports. Any one an idea how to salve this? by the way the KVM switch is also 'seen' by Windows 7 under devices even though it doens't need any drivers. All conncected devices are shown (I have also 2 USB drives)

A Keyboard Shortcut
I am curious to know if there is a keyboard shortcut like ALT + TAB that cycles through the windows of the active application only, similar to what Mac has with COMMAND + ` . Windows 7 is looking pretty good, since Apple decided my dual 2.0Ghz G5 is too old to run Snow Leopard I'm 99% sure I'm switching to a Win7 machine early next year!. Anyway, that was unrelated, just had to rant about that.

I used to have a keyboard shortcut to my screensaver but now It's not working. I have tried and tried to make another one but have had no success. I have done the google search for the answer but no help there. I have a shortcut to one screensaver on my desktop and made a keyboard shortcut to it. I have tried finding the screensaver folder in explorer but no luck there. I have tried a multitude of searches on net and explorer,I have tried many keyboard shortcuts to the files I find to .scr but no luck. Now I am asking here. Keyboard Shortcut To Move Window
I would love it, if I could assign a button to my keyboard that would take the currently highlighted window, and move to it screen 1, 2 or 3 in it's exact current size and position.. Anyone know if that is possible? I know you can move them 1 screen at a time, but I'd like to be able to just hit a single key or shortcut.

Laptop And Keyboard Shortcut Buttons
I have installed windows 7 RC1 on my Acer Aspire 5920g laptop. Till now i was running Vista SP1. Although Win 7 successfuly identified and installed every device my laptop has, to my amazement, the laptop's multimedia shortcut buttons (play,stop,launch media player) are not working. Under Vista they worked without me installing ANY acer driver. Is this being looked into or will I have to install my manufacturer's software, which I wouldn't like if possible.

Question - Aero Peek Keyboard Shortcut
First af all, hi all, i'm new to the forum. I found it out couse i'm using windows 7 right now (well, i haven't any particular file on my desktop so nothing to loose) and i'm searching a few things to improve my (till now really good) experience with this os. Now the little problem: i'm searching for a keyboard shortcut to switch through windows with aero peek (x-ray vision) just like i do with flip3d, is that possible? The only thing i found near to what i'm searching is the shortcut to switch through active elements that is like moving the mouse over icons of pinned-apps, that is not the same. Aero peek has many useful features but, compared to my standard work, it takes me too long to move mouse on an icon, wait for preview to show, than move again mouse on previews of different windows of the same app.

Custom Keyboard Shortcut Key Not Working
I assigned a new shortcut on desktop to shutdown my pc and assigned a keyboad shortcut ctrl + alt + f12. The shortcut always works properly if i double click on the shortcut icon but doesn't always work when pressing ctrl+alt+f12. Can someone explain why is this happening ?

Right Shift Key Problem
I recently upgraded to windows 7, and my iwin game "family feud" will not allow me to use the right shift key. this wouldnt normally be that big of an issue, but you need to use the right shift key to "buzz in" and there is no option to change the buzz in key... my right shift key works fine in all other aspects of windows 7.

Strange Behavior When Selecting Icons With Shift-key On The Desktop
since Windows Vista I experience a strange behavior when selecting icons on the desktop while holding the shift-key on the keyboard. For me this may be a little hard to explain, because English is not my native language. But please let me try: On the desktop, the icons are aligned vertically. This means, when the icons are sorted by name, the icons are sorted alphabetically from top to bottom on the first column of icons, continuing on the second column. Because of this I would expect that the selection is also vertically. So I would click the first icon of my wanted selection, hold the shift-key and then click on the last icon. Unfortunately the selection seems to be horizontally and I can't imagine that this is the behavior the user expects. In fact, I think this is pretty much confusing and slows down my work. To clear things up, let me show two little images: This is the way Windows 7 (and Vista) aligns the icons: http://www.gamingmedia.de/dereineda/alignment.png Now, let us say I want to select the folders from "a" through "documents". Of course, this example could be done with the mouse alone, but it's just an example. The problem would be worse when the selection would contain several columns. So, I click on "a", hold the shift-key and click on "documents". From Windows-version prior to Vista, this would work. Win 7 Causing Apps To Resize / Shift When Switching Inputs
I have a hdmi switcher from monoprice that I use to switch input between my pc and my ps3. I have a dell 2407 monitor. I just recently upgraded to win 7 from vista, but I noticed something. when I switch to ps3 and back to pc via the switcher, my app windows get re-sized, as if the resolution changed and changed back. For example, firefox and my AIM buddy list would shift to the left and get re-sized. This didn't happen in vista, all my programs stayed in place. Anyone know how to fix this? I have the monitor drivers installed.
