Syncmaster 2032bw Monitor Driver

i try to install the driver for my new samsung syncmaster 2032bw but it keeps telling me that it has the best driver when it either automatically installs the pnp drivers or the drivers for a syncmaster 206b

normally i would just accept it, but the only clear resolution my screen will do with the bad drivers is 1280x960 and my screen has a max res of 1680x1050

Samsung SyncMaster 913V Monitor Driver
I own a Samsung SyncMaster 913v, and I am missing its driver for Windows 7 but , when I check the website for download, it's only available for Windows XP, does it means I won't be able to find a suitable driver for it?

Will I have to wait?

Samsung SyncMaster 943NWX Monitor Problems
I have an old HP Pavilion t730m desktop pc. It has an onboard Intel 82865 G Graphics Controller, with a 19" Samsung SyncMaster 943NW lcd monitor and 2.0 GB Ram and Pentium 4. Currently it is running on Windows Vista Ultimate without Aero Effects, but everything else is working perfectly.

I would like to upgrade to Windows 7, as a matter of fact I've done it twice now, but whenever I do it I have monitor resolution problems, either I'm stuck with an 800X600 resolution or other options but not the current resolution of 1440x900 that looks great. So I have restored my backup of the Vista installation.

Sometimes when I change the monitor resolution, I get an incomplete screen display and a black bar on the right end of the monitor.

I would really like to upgrade to Windows 7 since my computer seems to run better than with Vista, but the screen resolution is very annoying.

When trying to play my games, the monitor goes blank then a square appears telling me the Analog is not operating at max ...

I went in and changed to recommended setting thru Control Panel display.  Still keeps dropping me out of games.  I can reset by using the monitor controls for "Auto Adjust", but within 2 minutes, the same thing keeps happening.

Syncmaster Driver Issue
I have a problem with the monitor driver, i have a samsung syncmaster 940bw i cannot get the driver to be recognized so i can get the native resolution, for you that dont know this monitor, on any other resolution other than the native the screen shows ALOT of blur what makes viewing of whatever impossible, i have tried using the driver that is for all windows but windows7 (x64) discards the driver and uses the pnp one, even with DriverMax the drivers wont be accepted,

i'm currently using the DVI input with powerstrip (on a radeon 3870) and i got it to force the native 1440 * 900 but on games the resolution wont be forced, because windows wont let the drivers do their thing i guess, i have tried using the vga but the screen gets corrupted, i have the beta Windows 7 ati drivers also, i'm very frustrated by this.

Samsung SyncMaster 932MW
Here's my problem: when I turn my pc to sleep mode, everything is fine, but when I turn it back on it doesn't recognize my monitor anymore and the resolution is much to low. I've tried to put it back in control panel, but the right resolution isn't in there.

But, I've discovered that if you put it into sleep mode again and wake it up, it works perfectly again. Anyone who can help me solve this problem? It's very annoying.

P.S.: Excuse my English because I'm Dutch.

Samsung Syncmaster 2243bwx Issue
Appears to be a driver issue with my Lenovo X61 laptop when using the Samsung Syncmaster 2243bwx as an additional display.

Anybody else running into this issue?

The native resolution is too large and is mishandled and the resolution 1440 x 900 which fits correctly produces the familiar nonnative screen res look.

So the real issue is that the native resolution is mishandled .

Anybody seen something similar and have a fix?

Cannot Set Resolution On Samsung SyncMaster
Win7 recognized the first Samsung SyncMaster on this machine (204BW) and set it properly to 1680 x 1050. But the second SyncMaster (206BW) was showing up as a Generic display.

Even after downloading the drivers for teh 206BW and setting them to be used for the second display, I still cannot get Win7 to allow me to set it to 1680 x 1050 so that I can duplicate the displays (one's inside a sound booth, one's outside, so they need to be duplicated, not extended).

Anybody run into a similar problem and know how to fix it?

The displays are running off of a Radeon X1600 series video card.

Samsung Syncmaster 933SN And Native Resolution
My monitor: Samsung Syncmaster 933SN won't display at it's native resolution which is 1360 x 768. It will only display at 1024 x 768 which only takes up 2/3rd's of the screen real estate!

I have the most updated driver for the monitor, 3.0.0.0 from Samsung, which says it works on XP, and VISTA 32/64, but for some reason Windows 7 isn't recognizing the native resolution. It was recognized easily on Windows Xp when I bought it a few months ago, so what can I do?

Samsung Monitor Driver
I've had an ongoing problem with this for some time now. You can see here that my Device Manager tells me that I'm missing a video controller, and also in that post is my inability to watch full screen videos online. Here, I talk about the problems I've had with my display driver crashing.

Now, yesterday I downloaded Photoshop, and as it opened, a window popped up saying that my "monitor Profile" is defective and needs to be calibrated (See first attachment). If I choose to Ignore Profile, I can use Photoshop as usual, but everything I export has an irremovable yellow tinge. If I choose to Use Anyway, there is no white in Photoshop's color pallet, only the same yellowish color.

This got me thinking for the first time that my monitor was the cause of my problems, so I searched online for Samsung 2243swx drivers. On their webpage, they had up for download only one driver, which is for a VGA graphics card (See second attachment). I've been running a PCI graphics card (NVIDIA GeForce 8400 GS), and I was wondering if this could be the problem.

Would you say I ought to buy a VGA graphics card?

Dual Monitor Problems With NVidia Driver
Running 32-bit W7.  NVidia 7600GS with a pair of 1920 * 1200 LCD monitors.

The NVidia driver that comes with W7 (including the updated one that is delivered through Windows Update) was causing serious problems with my dual monitor setup.

The second monitor would remain blank (actually, in power save) when W7 started.  The Screen Resolution window would show both monitors, as if they were working.  Repeatedly pressing the 'Detect' button would sometimes - but not always - bring the second monitor to life.

Sometimes, pressing 'Detect' would cause the second monitor to be "lost" (undetected), and other times it would cause both monitors to go blank, requiring a hard reboot to recover.

If you are suffering these symptoms, I can report that I've installed the 32-bit 181.20 Vista driver and it works perfectly.  All problems have gone away.

Begin by using Control Panel | Programs and Features to uninstall the NVidia software.  Reboot.  W7 will start up and then install its original (buggy) NVidia driver.  Reboot again.  Then simply double-click the '181.20_geforce_winvista_32bit_international_whql.exe' driver file.  You don't need to worry about running in compatibility mode or anything.  It just installs without bother.

Reboot once more and both monitors will work with complete reliability.

I thought I'd mention it in case you've got similar problems.  NVidia make great hardware but their driver software has always been bloody awful.

CHIMEI CMV 221D Widescreen LCD Monitor Monitor Issue
I have a CHIMEI CMV 221D widescreen LCD monitor (22"), native resolution is 1680x1050.

Under Win7 RC 64 bit with a 8800GT, this shows up as Generic PnP monitor (I can't find drivers for it anywhere).  However, while in Crysis, there are several display resolutions that do not stretch to the full size of the screen. Under XP, only supported resolutions show up.  I installed the latest 186.18 nvidia Windows 7 64-bit drivers.

There is also a setting in the nVidia control panel for non-native resolution scaling.  This seems to be broken.

However, when I am not playing a game, and change the resolution of the screen via the desktop, the screen modes work and scale correctly.

Dual Monitor Display Cut Off On One Monitor - Nvidia Gtx 280
I recently upgraded to Windows 7 and am experiencing a dual monitor problem using my nvidia gtx 280.  I am using driver version 8.17.11.9562 according to control panel.  One monitor is an ASUS 19" and the other is an ASUS 22".

The left 19" monitor displays perfectly but the second 22" (right monitor) has the display shifted hoirzontally to the left so that part of the screen is cut off.  I have tried to adjust this using the monitor's horizontal adjust feature but even when it is adjusted 100% to the right (deFault is 50%) part of the display is cutoff.

Does anyone know of another way that this display can be corrected?

Second Monitor Not Found, Primary LCD Monitor Shows As CRT
I have Win 7 Pro installed and working. Display adapter is an ATI Radeon 3870 x2. I have tried drivers from windows update, ATI, and Hanns-G (manu of my monitors). My primary display is showing up as a CRT with and without the driver. My secondary display stays blank and goes into standby mode. Neither problem changes before, during, or after installing any software. I have tried both x64 downloads of ATI software.

Currently, windows update's drivers show my display adapters as the right models. (2 gpus on one card, obviously)

Does anyone have suggestions? I am completely at a loss after many hours of frustration.

RC1 Dual Monitor - Installs On Wrong Monitor
I have a dual monitor system - the video card is an NVidia GEForce 8800 with two DVI outputs.  I use the second monitor sparingly.  My BIOS boots to the "primary" monitor, and during the install of RC1, most of the dialog occurred on this monitor.  I have set up a dual boot system with Vista and W7 and Vista runs just fine on the primary, and I can turn on the secondary at will.

So far so good. However, during the last phase of the install of RC1 (this also occured with the first beta), the final output and startup of RC1 occurred on the secondary (!) monitor.  It first seemed as though the install hung - the primary simply showed a black screen even though it had been active thrtought the install.

I turned on the secondary, and there was all the final install dialog display.  I finished the setup there, and then set my main monitor to be primary and now all is well. The fact that some of the install output displays on the secondary monitor is a problem (especially if I don't happen to have that monitor turned on).  The entire install should display on the BIOS boot monitor, I should think...

Dual Monitor Issue, Secondary Monitor Is Undetectable
I have just did a clean install of Windows 7 ultimate from XP and I am unable to get my dual monitors to work like they did in XP.

I have a DVI Radeon graphics card plugged into the agp slot, and a Nvidia geforce vga adapter plugged into a pci slot of my dell optiplex 755. When I am in the screen resolution settings the second monitor cannot be detected.

In bios I have 2 options under primary video adapter and they are auto, and onboard card. When set to auto the Nvidia card gets a signal but the Radeon does not. There are no conflicts in the device manager, and all of the drivers are up to date.

When I change the bios option to onboard card the Radeon adapter gets a signal but the other monitor cannot be detected and in device manager there is a yellow exclamation mark next to Standard VGA adapter and a code 10 error that states the device could not be started.

I have powered down, and unplugged every cable, I also tried to use the integrated VGA adapter to the Intel G31/G33/Q33/Q35 Graphics Controller but the computer will not even boot. I get

"System Halted

Attention Unsupported Video Configuration Detected"

I have two monitors, both work fine as standalone but Windows will not detect either as a secondary.

Please help me someone, I am so used to having my helpdesk email open in one monitor and all of my other work in the other monitor.

Dual Monitor Bug - Monitor 1 Crashes
My primary monitor (1)  now causes system to be unuseable after it reaches the sleep mode.  I just converted to Win 7 Premium from  32 bit VISTA, where everything worked ok.  Windows stays alive if I duplicate the 2 screens because my second monitor still works.

Both monitors are DEll E207WFP.  The card is a NVIDEA 7300LE.  Everything was ok until I upgraded 2 days ago.

After reaching the sleep time, the monitor becomes DEAD.  I setup the screen saver, but the monitor 1 would not awaken, even though it shows the pictures until I use the mouse to awaken the system.

Mon 1 is DVI.  Mon 2 is VGA connected.

System might stay up if I tell monitors to NEVER sleep --- a waste of energy.

I first noticed the problem when I went away while backing up the system and my primary monitor never could recover.  The monitor sleeps forever so a power off / power on is mandated.

My Monitor Gets Reset To Generic PnP Monitor
I am running Windows 7 using a Nvidia GeForce 7200 GS video card. After every time the computer goes to sleep, it loses its display settings for my monitor (a ViewSonic G22fb CRT), and resets to the default Generic PnP monitor.

To return to my display settings, I need to go to the control panel, adjust resolution, and click on the "detect" button.  After that, the computer recognizes my Viewsonic G220fb again, and returns the display settings, including resolution to my adjusted settings.

Taskbar For Each Monitor With Multi Monitor
Is there a possibility to have a taskbar on each monitor, optionally containing only the programs which are on that monitor?

I doubt this feature is available as I just found the following entry within the support: "Find the taskbar" which is stating "If you're using multiple monitors, the taskbar will only appear on one monitor."

So my suggestion is adding the feature.

Plus showing the alt-tab-window on all monitors.
