When I pause any audio on my PC I always hear weird noise, like a mosquito, it's so annoying. If you mute - sound disappears, but the more volume you put the louder it is. Any one had similar problems? Or this just means that i need a better audio card?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have just installed a new PC, which has Realtek HD Audio on board.The problem I encounter, is that when using the Realtek HD Audio Driver, I get a "blip" sound before and after each sound, almost as if the speaker port is being enabled and disabled.I should point out, that I still get this blip through my front speakers, even when sound is coming out of rear speakers only (such as when performing a windows sound test).I should also point out, that when using the Windows 7 sound drivers, I do not have this problem - all is fine! Except for the big fact, that my rear speakers are not enabled as Windows 7 drivers insist on driving them all through the same jack port, which is why I need to run the Realtek HD Audio Manager & Driver.

Just the other day I noticed when I was watching a movie on my computer with my headphones on then muted the sound I heard heavy static. I also have a Logitech mic that I just bought recently and when I played back my voice via from Audacity, all I heard was constant static noise. Are my speakers going out? Or do I need to update my sound card/driver? If so, what kind for a Windows 7 64 bit would I need to download?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am about give up. I have read every website and tried many idea but nothing can fix this.
Using media center I get a very loud static. I have fixed it many times but then it comes back. I have reloaded the system and used only defaults and it works for awhile but then it comes back.
I have tried both the windows drivers and Reltek Vista driver. Every other sound works great (CD, MP3, DVD and Pandora). I use this system mostly for recording off DIRECTV.
I have tried change many setting as other treads have suggested.
i'm using the onboard sound card for my Gigabyte GA-X58A-UD3R Rev 2.0 mobo.The sound chipset is Realtek ALC889. I've updated the latest drivers, but there is crackling/static noise when I play music.Currently I mainly use a 2.1 speaker system. But Ive tried testing it with headphones the static/crackling noises persists.It is not constant, but it shows up periodically. Furthermore, when there is no music/sound playing the noise is not there. This leads me to believe its a hardware/driver issue and not so much a speaker/interference issue.

I've tried multiple drivers, from Realtek official to Generic to Vista ones. My latency graph has little to no spiking too! (A problem most people identified in the previous megathread). I know this is a solvable issue because previously I've had it under control. It was just so long ago and I've forgotten.[code] Bios, video card, and OS are up to date. View 1 Replies View RelatedStarting about a month ago, after six to seven months of my laptop working fine, I've been getting video and audio stuttering whenever gaming or watching most HD videos and after messing around with my drivers I realized that whenever my Realtek HD Audio drivers are disabled my video runs flawlessly, but when enabled both video and audio stutter. I'm using a Sony VAIO laptop so I'm assuming that the sound card isn't easily replaceable. I've tried using the newest drivers straight from Realtek's website and also the outdated driver provided by Sony's website, both of which result in the same stuttering. Sony has also replaced the motherboard once and it did not resolve the issue.I'm currently running Windows 7 with 6gb of RAM and an NVIDIA GeForce 330M graphics card.
View 16 Replies View RelatedWhen playing back two channel pcm music on my diy home theater computer, the output begins to progressively contain random static as additional tracks are played. The operating system is windows 7 64 bit. There are no issues with 5.1 audio as it is always clean.My motherboard is an Asrock H67M and my processor is an i3-2100. The computer is connected to a Yamaha receiver via an HDMI cable.Video from the i3-2100 is outstanding on my 52" Sony TV. I am using the on board Intel display audio device as this appears to be the only way to transmit digital audio output to the receiver via HDMI. The only way to get clean sound when the static becomes unbearable is to turn the computer off and reboot. I'm not sure it matters, but the computer does contain a TV card.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm having problems with my sound, I'm getting a very loud buzzing sound and nothing else. My computer is only a year old (self built) and I have never had this problem before, I got home from grocery shopping and it was buzzing.
What I did to try and fix it:
- thought headset was broken, used speakers, still buzzing
- used windows troubleshooting, said my port wasn't being detected, fiddled with it a bit and tried front ports. front ports causing buzzing as well
- checked for driver update, nothing
- uninstalled driver (buzzing stopped)
- re-installed driver and buzzing started again
So, i do think the problem is the driver, but i have no clue what to do about it.
I understand without being in some sort of perfectly quiet environment/home studio, nothing can be perfect.That aside, I recently purchased a new USB condenser mic (cardoid) and it can pick up all sort of sounds from my keyboard typing, mouse clicks, and my PC fans. My PC is positioned about as far as it will go without pulling the plugs out. It might also be worth noting there are no speakers on my PC. I've also read there is supposed to be a Microphone Boost in my recording settings as well as a Microphone Enhancements tab? There never has been, on any mic I've used on my PC. And it's been suggested that this might be a possible fix, but I'm sort of doubtful on that.I've been thinking of investing in more audio equipment (shock mount, scissor arm, pop filter?) or perhaps returning it for a different mic altogether.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI have a computer with external active speakers connected to the 3.5mm phone plug. I'm using win 7 32-bit and when I start my computer the speaker starts to make strange sounds, almost sounds like an old modem. I have disabled the start-up sound since I don't want that, the noise is there until I do anything with the sound driver, or so it seams. If I for example I play a sound or even mute/enable the cd volume the sound stops and don't come back until the next time the computer is started. I have had the computer on for a long time without doing anything and the sound don't stop until I do something with any sound or sound setting.
Additional things I have tried so far to fix the problem but not succeeded:
1. I have been into BIOS and the sound does not start in BIOS, it is when windows is starting the sound starts.
2. Re-installed driver
3. Tried to set the register DrvAzComIdlePowerState and a few more to 00 00 00 00.
I have both Realtek HD Audio and THX and i am wondering what is the best way to use these two together. I would much rather use just one because i switch between my Logitech surround sound speakers and headphones (that i plug directly into the logitech speaker and not directly into my realtek audio device via the back of the computer) and so i am always having to switch settings around whenever i switch between just speakers or headphonesDoes anyone have some experience with this or knows the best ways to use both of these audio managers or just one? Its rather annoying. Ive thought about just removing THX so i only have to deal with one, but it does seem to make a difference but it could also just be ignorance.On a side note... i dont suppose there is anyway for realtek to recognize that i have inserted a headset into my speaker's headphone jack and adjust its settings.also after updated my realtek driver, i can no longer get the audio manager icon to appear in my notification bar.

I recently had problems my self.
First you have to install this, from Intel: Intel® Desktop Board D910GLDW Audio: Realtek* ALCxxx Driver
Second, install the latest drivers from Realtek, R2.22. I uploaded the zip file to filefront, as their ftp server is running by mouse power. Vista_R222.zip Download File
I hope it will work. for you. I had a lot of trouble finding the solution. Everything has to do with Intel's high definition codec that for some reason Realtek choose not to include in their driver packages.

I used the Realtek AC'97 Audio driver when I had x64 vista business and the sound worked fine.
I used the same driver with Windows 7 and I get and error that says This device cannot start. (Code 10)
Has anyone had luck fixing this issue or had the same problem.
So to make this story some what short, I installed Windows 7, it kinda hung on installing the creative sound blaster driver so I assumed it was an audio driver issue from the beginning. After a reboot my sound would always make snap crackle pop / static noises and what not. Totally maddening when you watch tons of stuff online / play games / listen to music.
Strange thing whenever I booted into safemode w/ networking my driver for the sound blaster card would always install first thing no problem. Still, tons of static and the like in the background. The main issue, any reboot would give me a bsod to no end unless I booted in safemode, then there was no issue. Disabled different sound cards until I found out it was the Realtek card. Then I checked out the control panel and there was a driver for realtek, sure enough if I uninstalled and rebooted without going into safemode I NEVER got a bsod. Happy days.
Then I thought I had fixed the static issue but so far I have not. I'm using a creative sound blaster audigy 2 zs card. I've installed the latest beta driver for it(when I thought I had fixed it) to no avail. Sorry it ended up being extremely long :P Sadly, none of this happened in XP, but im blaming it all on the drivers.
Yesterday i installed my new Windows 7 64 bits OS on my PC after the 32 bits i used for years.I reinstalled drivers for my Realtek soundcard (Vista_Win7_Win8_R270.exe downloaded on the realtek website and even the 6305_Vista_PG537 to try it) and i have some difficulties using the equalizer whereas before I did not with the 32 bits.Indeed when i'm trying to set the 16k column on the Realtek HD Audio, after entering my choice, the settings of the 16k column change and only for the 16k column ! I tried to register several presets but everytime it goes wrong changing the 16k.

It looks like it's copied a lot of files to C:Program Files (x86)Realtek, but after I restart there are only four files copied there and the drivers haven't been successfully installed.
These are the only drivers I've had trouble with, and I was wondering if someone could give me directions on exactly how to install the drivers. No one else seems to have had trouble installing them, so I must be doing something wrong.

View 2 Replies View Relatedi'm having issues with the realtek HD audio drivers. i just installed the latest version (2.24 i think) and i have no sound. note, i did not have a prior working version under windows 7 - i just installed windows 7 RC today for the first time.
one possible issue is that it appears to be using the wrong codec - i believe that i need the ALC882 codec, but in windows 7, it appears to have installed the ALC885 codec.
anyone know how to change the codec?
