View 3 Replies View RelatedLast night after stupidly performing a hard shut down (held the power button for about 5 seconds), I turned my computer on this morning to hear a strange thumping sound coming from my tower. I run Windows 7 Ultimate x64 with a Seagate (I think, I can't quite remember) hard drive with 720 GB, and the three options that I see are as follows.
The only one that I can think of that could make a sound that loud is the large fan at the back. If I remember correctly, it's the one responsible for cooling the whole tower (I really hope it isn't this). Hard drive is fried from the hard shut down. I'm not quite sure how to describe the sound other than a "thump thump thump" or a "wub wub wub wub" sound. My computer's specs are as follows.
720 GB SATA hard drive
4 GB RAM
ASUS Motherboard (can't remember the model number and don't have access to it right now) **It is an all-in-one motherboard, so my video and sound cards are included with it.Intel Processor running at 2.7 GHz (can't remember the model number and don't have access to it right now)
i need driver for my gigabyte motherboard GA-8IPE1000 audio driver.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI cannot see my audio driver through system information or anything. So I had to open my CPU tower and found out that my sound card is Sound blaster live model CT4780. Can anyone please tell me how do I use this card with windows 7. I don't know if it will work with Windows Vista driver and I couldn't find a driver for it. I went to dell's website and that driver didn't work, probably was not compatible with Windows 7.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI installed my audio driver for my gigabyte ud3 b3 motherboard. I got the driver from gigabyte's website. It is the 64 bit windows 7 version. Now I have realtek hd audio manager installed. I have a set of speakers plugged in which I know work because i plug the cord into my iphone and the speakers work great. Now I plug into the green input hole (which by the way, I should say that everything worked great before I recently reinstalled windows 7). When playing music I look at the mixer and see that all programs playing the music and the speakers have the green bar going up and down to the music. But the bar that says system sounds does not report any sound ( no green bar going up and down).

View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm working on fixing a Toshiba Satellite laptop. It is a very years old and I reformatted it and tried Windows XP and Windows 7. I installed the Realtek audio drivers straight from the website (HD Audio Driver) but no luck. The Windows Update driver gives me a RTKHDAudio BSOD and I tried fixing that with some advice online to no avail.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI think I got all my drivers figured out except for the sound card. I've tried the Lenovo site but it says Vista should use the Microsoft drivers and those don't seem to be working. In Device Manager I see "Multimedia Audio Controller" with the ! icon by it. "The drivers for this device are not installed. (Code 28). There is no driver selected for the device information set or element. To find a driver for this device, click Update Driver." I search for updates and find nothing... I tried the XP version but that didn't work.
View 6 Replies View Relatedi have a dell inspiron 545s windows 7 home premium from dell.it is a desktop.it is about 2 years old.a few months ago a virus shut my computer down and i paid $275 for the software and software warranty. i also paid an additional $119 for 2 years unlimited technical support. after the technician got my computer up and running again i discovered the the audio for everything (Internet for music and movies) is very low and inaudible and also scrambled. i couldn't fix it myself for weeks so i called dell for help. they checked and discovered the speakers are fine. they told me to pay $59 for a technician to look into it (someone on a website says it's only good for 30 days) and fix the sound system if he could, otherwise i would have to buy a sound card of other hardware and install it myself. my computer which includes the monitor and keyboard and mouse only costs $650. if i shell out anymore i should buy another computer.i like my computer, and i'm trying not to throw anything of the sort into the landfill if i can help it.besides i'm out of a job. do you think i should pay dell any further since that problem only cropped up after they fixed the computer and i wasn't even using the audio when it went down?

View 2 Replies View Relatedfrom the digital audio device? every time i plug in my $20 speakers i got from target, the audio device changes from my soundmax driver (which comes thru the lappy speakers) to a digital audio device in my little speaker icon thingy and i don't know how to manually change it back except thru reinstalling the drivers and rebooting a bunch of times, when i go to properties it only shows the enabled device and i can't find the other output option. if i reinstall the soundmax drivers it switches back to laptop speakers but this is obviously a hassle.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have A Dell XPS 420 with a Sigmatel Stac92XX C-Major HD Audio Driver and I was running Windows Vista X64 SP1 and everything was working fine.
I just recently installed Windows 7 RT Build 7100 and the Generic High Definition Audio Device Driver Installed and all types of media play, but it's causing a crackling sound in my audio and not only that it actually corrupts the file so if I were to play a MP4 on my XBOX 360 it also has the crackling noise even if the file was originally fine.
I don't know the last Sigmatel Driver that was on my Vista Build but I tried a few of them and even tried in Vista install mode but none of them work & I tried all the codecs packs that I always install and still nothing.
What should I do and is this a driver problem that's causing the crackling noise and corrupting my files or is their something else to this please help because it's driving me crazy?
