I am trying to install the latest audio driver for the Intel® Desktop Board DG965SS under Windows 7 Beta x64.

IntelÂ® Desktop Board DG965SSÂ Audio: IDT* 92XX Driver

However, when it goes to configure the driver I get the error:

Device Object not present, restart the system and run setup again.

I get this running the installer in normal and compatibility modes.

Any help on how to get around this error, or a point in the right direction for the correct driver would be greatly appreciated.

Video Driver For Windows 7 64bit On 939 Board - HP A1310n

Basically i cannot get video driver to install. It's a fresh install of windows7 64bit on an older computer (Athlon 3700+, 939, HP a1310n), onboard video is ati x300. It's not supported by win7, so I installed the legacy vista drivers (both 9.3 and 10.2) without any luck (wouldn't even install). Aside from windows 7 updates I have not installed anything whatsoever on this computer, including bios drivers (again, not supported by win7). I wanted to install win xp but that's a whole other story (after a couple failed installs, XP stopped accepting my cd-key so I admitted defeat...). He only wants to use the computer to watch movies and online videos. He also gave me an external card (x1650), but computer did not recognize it at all, so onboard video it is. Also, lol, his dvd drive wasn't reading any discs, so I found an old IDE I had and switched it and it worked fine. Funny this is, he only recently had another friend put win7 32bit on it so it must have been working recently, seems odd to 'suddenly' stop responding.I know 64bit is a little slow for this computer, but from a 'cold' start, this has an internet page open in 65 seconds from post! Not too terrible... 32 bit ran quick, but that's no longer an option as all i have is 64 bit

Virtual Audio Cable Broke Main Audio Driver

how i can reinstall my main audio drivers so they stay installed and so i don't have to uninstall and reinstall them at every startup.�it still says it's in use if i try to test it before reinstalling. �to reinstall it i've been going to playback devices, right click properties, click properties on the new window, change settings on the next, last window click the driver tab and uninstall. then i go to device manager and scan for changes. it's really a pita �DISREGARD THIS:�ok so i've been trying to port audio from firefox to reaper + asio4all and found that i can do it with VAC. i first tried another program called virtual audio streaming but that didn't work. when i got VAC i uninstalled VAS first. �since i've had VAC installed i can't listen to anything over my monitor's speakers (have computer hooked to monitor with hdmi). if i have "Digital Audio (hdmi)" set as the default audio device, the audio won't even start. for example if a start a movie in vlc and then realize there's no sound i can't just switch the default device to something else (usually can do this) i have to stop the video select a different device and start the video again. flash stuff online just won't play until i change the device. �if i try to go to the properties of "Digital Audio (hdmi)" > advanced > and hit test it tells me the device is being used by another program. this was making me think that maybe it was because VAC was using that device to port the audio from windows or something. didn't really make complete sense but i uninstalled VAC, restarted my pc and it still does the same thing. i tried uninstalling the drivers (windows default drivers, the downloadable drivers IDT high def audio cause problems with other programs so i don't use them and would prefer not to) and restarting so they would reinstall but that did nothing.

I have a Compaq Presario CQ5210f with a M2N68-LA (Narra6) motherboard and I also have a old Compaq Presario SR1010NX with a MS-6577 (Giovani, Giovani2) mother board and it seems like the second mother board is better than the first. I would like to know which one is better because I have both computer towers but only use the CQ5210f.I am planning on putting in a new graphics card soon and I cant afford a whole new computer or motherboard right now so I have to pick between these to.

Well I had a motherboard failure when it just stopped working (Thi it had something to do with reading the ram as it stopped seeing my 2 sticks as duel channel before it outright stopped working.Right now I got a few days before I can buy my hardware, I was going to get an FX6100 hex core, but after reading about it a bit more I figured it might be better to go with a AMD Phenom II X4 975 Black Edition.I am really not sure what I should get and could use some advice. I figured out the ram and motherboard I will get, but with what I seen I have no idea what to do about the CPU anymore.

My Internet connection has been very shaky these past few day and now it refuses to work on either of my computers except for Skype on the wireless connection of my laptop.

The main desktop is connected to the router and modem yet can't access the Internet, with a "no Internet access" sign, while the laptop says it IS connected yet I can only use Skype.

Mother Board Problems

When I go to boot windows, after my motherboard splash screen I get a black screen that says Grub Error 17 and am unable to boot windows.
I thought this was kind of weird since I don't use Linux, but I ran SuperGrub Disk to see if it could find any problems. SGDisk gave me this "BOOTMGR is missing". So I tried following this . After pressing any key to confirm booting from a CD I once again got the Grub Error 17 and was unable to boot from the CD.

I have everything backed up, but I don't know what happened to my Windows 7 CD key and any keyfinder programs that I know of require you to run windows.

if anyone knows a way to fix my MBR only being able to boot a minimal amount of CD's, or if anyone knows how to find my Product Key without actually being able to boot windows, I would greatly appreciate the help. I have been able to boot into Ubuntu, and can access all the files on my hard drive if that makes any difference.
