Sound Blaster X-Fi Titanium Sound Card Compatibility
Jun 6, 2009I just bought a new pc from Dell. I opted out of buying the SB sound card they had as an option and now I am sorta regretting that. I loaded RC 7100 as soon as I got the machine and after going through this forum I am sorta left with the impression that SB cards don't work with Win 7. Is that really the case?
I was looking at an "Sound Blaster X-Fi Titanium Sound Card" but if it will just cause me grief it's not worth it. Does anyone have a suggestion as to what I can get and not pull my hair out trying to get it to work? The main game I play sounds sorta mediocre with the on-board sound.
Sound Blaster In Windows 7?
Aug 8, 2012I'm trying to make my "Sound Blaster Audigy 2 Platinum ex" works on Windows 7 64 bits, I did install the most new version of the drivers provided by Creative Labs, it seems like it is installed without any problems.the Device Manager shows all drivers are installed correctly...when I run the audio test the graphic moves like if the soundcard actually works but the real thing is: THERE IS NO SOUND!!, I have done all the tests that Creative labs recommends in their page but I got nothing

Oct 19, 2009i hav dual boot with Windows 7 64-bit ultimate RC and win XP..... my windows 7 does not detect my sound card. when i try to install any drivers , i get a msg "Setup is unable to detect any supported product on ur system" [i tried many drivers]..In the Device manager, drivers for "Multimedia Audio Controller" & "PCI Simple communication controller" are not installed.. but no issues with win XP.

Nov 14, 2009Okay, I am running Windows 7 Ultimate 64-Bit. I have been searching for a week for this driver, downloaded many apps, but non of them worked. Some displayed card not detected and such. I tried to use compatibility mode but no difference. The name of the card is exactly "Sound Blaster 5.1" not VX and the other ones.

Dec 20, 2009I don't know why this works. I have a Sound Blaster Audigy Se sound card that wasn't working after installing Windows 7. I've been trying for days to fix this problem and finally and mysteriously I got my soundcard to work. I downloaded every driver from the Creative website to daniel_k's drivers and still nothing. Anyways, what I did was reinstall Windows 7 which takes no time at all.
DO NOT INSTALL ANY UPDATES!!! Again, I don't know why, but I only chose to install the Sound Blaster Audigy update and it worked! The first time I installed windows 7 I installed updates and then tried to install the sound blaster updates and it didnt work. I highly recommend this to everyone!

May 22, 2009i have a friend running 7 with a sound blaster live 5.1 SB022, Its running with some XP driver but not without its problems, it seems that his sound output starts to crackle then fade, So im thinking that he needs a better driver,

Jun 24, 2009i have a sound blaster audigy SE and i can't find a driver for it. on the site it says they have one but it brings up an empty search. also Windows 7 can't detect the soundcard? it says under the sound option in ctrl panel that it detects no hardware? can someone please hit 2 birds with one stone for me?

Ive got Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Xtreme Audio in, ive downloaded the xp, vista and 7 beta drivers from creative, they either say driver version not found OR they say the device isn't plugged in properly, which it is having run it with xp. The only thing i don't have is the disk anymore.
Has anyone managed to get this sound card working with 7? if so how did you manage it?

Jul 4, 2009i have just downloaded the ones that stormy showed and i also downloaded from the creative website itself. i have installed and reinstalled and restared my computer many times and still no luck what so ever. all it says is that there is no audio output device installed when actually i have installed the newest drivers and have updated as much as possible. this is making me very angry please some1 tell me what i need to do b/c what i am trying is not working at all.

Jul 20, 2009I cleaned the dust from the comp & since then I am getting this error, sound is only working on front 2 speakers. i ensured the card is properly installed, which it is. Last 4 months its been working fine with 4.1 speakers.
Now I cant start the EAX control setting.
I uninstalled the card & drivers & cleaned the registry then reinstalled the drivers from CD.
On installation of the drivers & sound it detects by old speakers as stereo only but all 4 speakers give sound which is too bad, I can now use the EAX control settings .
then I run the windows update it download a creative driver which when installed does show me 4.1 speakers but now the EAX control panel wont open & gives error.
"the audio device supported by this application is not detected. The application will exit"
any clue what went wrong & how can I get this working?
Creative Sound Blaster Audigy LS Not Working
Jan 12, 2009I've installed Windows 7 on my desktop with dual boot to Vista. Everything's been working fine but I haven't been able to properly setup my sound-card to function properly. As of now, I currently have no sound and I've been through many different drivers from the Creative website.
I've also tried running them in compatibility mode with Windows Vista and Windows XP SP3.
I am currently getting this error message under the "Device Status" In Device Manager, "Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39)".
Windows has been automatically installing the driver version 5.12.1.2004 dated June 13 2007.
Can anyone please help me with this issue? It is currently ruining my Windows 7 experience!
Sound Blaster Live! 5.1 Win7 Compatibility
Oct 24, 2009I know that Creative has stopped supporting the SB Live! 5.1 way back in the day, but I was hoping anyone would know of a way to force it to function in some way. I've heard a lot about this Daniel_K guy, who's been making drivers for old Creative cards, but I can't really find anything for my Live! card that is native to Windows 7.
Alternatively, I've installed the official WinXP drivers on Windows 7, and they work to an extent. I'm getting very odd distortion (echoes) when I play any audio. I'm grateful the audio works decently, but the echoing is really grating. Can anyone help me find a new driver for this card, or at the very least walk me through setting up the XP driver?

Sound Blaster Audigy 2 Drivers Problem
Nov 23, 2009my sound card is the SB audigy 2. Back in XP the drivers usually worked fine and produced the right 'loudness' of sound.
It seems in windows 7 to only produce sound at the 40%-60% levels compared to XP. i know this for a fact since i've done testing.
So people told me to downland the daniel k drivers (SB Audigy Series Support Pack 3.6 (11/09/2009) - Creative Labs)
New problem: These drivers worked and fixed the problem however after i restart it goes back to the 40%-60% sound levels. What is happening is it rolling back the driver or what and how do I fix it?
More info: I run the installer and it asks me to restart to uninstall the old drivers I do that. Then when the computer reboots I re run the installer and the drivers install. Now my sound works perfectly however when I restart the next time it's back to the problem.
any ideas?
Creative Sound Blaster Live 24 Bit - No Subwoofer
Nov 23, 2009My problem is that i don't get any bass out of my subwoofer, my system (as i configurate) recognizes my subwoofer, but as soon as i listen to music there's no sound coming out of it!
My other speakers work, but only the bass is missing!
I wanted to install the console launcher from CD, but in Setup windows said "couldn't find any compatible hardware. Setup will be closed"
But i do not find any latest console launcher in Creative technical support, that's compatible with my Live 24 bit soundcard.
I started this thread, because i couldn't contact any other user who's problem was solved .

ive tried installing various drivers from the guides off here etc but they all say the same thing
