Silverfast Software For Microtek I900 Scanner
I can't seem to get the Silverfast software plug-ins to work under Windows 7. The Microtek Scanwizard software finds my scanner and works just fine but the Silverfast software keeps getting an error that it cannot find the scanner. Using the Windows Vista driver which works just fine under Vista. Has anyone run into this issue?

Microtek ScanMaker 3880 Drivers
Has anyone managed to operate Microtek's ScanMaker 3880 on Windows 7 or Vista? I have tested both accompanying drivers and the latest drivers online with no luck. The OSs just do not recognize the scanner which shows up as unknown device in Device Manager. This is despite the fact that the driver for Win 7 is part of the download and is supposed to be 'Vista Certified'. If you have ever got the scanner running, please drop a message.

Scanner For Win 7
I need to order a scanner that definitely works with Windows 7. My customer has an HP Laserjet 2840 and the printing side works, but HP does not yet have a driver that works with Windows 7 for scanning. My client needs to scan all the time, so I need a scanner that someone knows definitely works with Windows 7. The sooner the better.Â

I'm looking for new scanner (25+ ppm) that will work w/7. Scantastik store claims nobody (fujitsu, canon, xerox, etc.) will work yet - drivers not available until year end. Does anyone know anything differently? I was able to get my HP officejet 7000 printer to work.

Driver Scanner Software
I´ve had some issue concerning my hardware drivers and today I´ve been testing out some of the programs that´s out there. Driver Max, Drive Checker, Uniblue Drive scanner and Drive Robot. They are all free to download and use for scanning, but when you want to use their driver updater you will have to buy a premium account. The problem I see is that the scanning gives different results on different programs. Uniblue drive scanner that is approved by Microsoft said that all my drivers are up to date, so did Windows in Device manager. The rest said that 6-10 drives were outdated and when I downloaded one of the the recommended driver versions, manually, the install program said that I already had a newer version of the driver installed. So what I´m asking if someone have a premium account and had a good result? I don´t want to pay $29 and get nothing out of it.

64Bit BSOD When Using Scanner
I've just installed Win7/64 and I get a BSOD whenever I use my canon scanner. Various BSOD types appear rather than the usual one, and on a few occasions NTFS.sys has been listed as the culprit. The drivers it's using are ksthunk.sys and usbscan.sys and the only workaround is to disable memory remapping which reduces my 4gb down to 3gb. I've tested this with 2 seperate motherboards and 2 seperate CPU's so I'm fairly sure it's not a hardware problem. If I don't use this scanner the system is rock solid. Suggestions?

HP LaserJet 3052 Scanner
The scanner of my HP LaserJet 3052 stopped working after the upgrade from Vista 32-bit to Windows 7 RC 32-bit. I only can select that I want to scan documents using the document feeder. There is no option to scan a paper directly put on the scanner window. If I press the scan button then the error message âNo paper in document feeder is displayedâ. The LaserJet is connected via USB to the computer. If I press the âTest Scannerâ button in the Diagnostic section of the HP LaserJet 3052 Properties page then I get a message that the scanner successfully completed the diagnostic test. I have no issues to print documents. I removed the device and added the device again, but this did not help. Do you have any tips how to fix the scanner?

Visioneer 9420 Scanner
Visioneer does not have a driver for my Visioneer 9420 flat bed scanner to use in Windows 7 RC build 7100. I installed the driver which is certified for Windows Vista. Upon installing, it asked me to connect the USB and Power cables to the PC and scanner and Windows 7 showed a message "Device driver 9420 software installed successfully". I checked "Device Manager" and under "Imaging Devices" it listed my Visioneer 9420 showing under its properties device status "This device is working properly" Location: Port_#0001.Hub_#0004, with driver version: 4.0.7.523 dated 5/23/2007. However, when I try to scan using Adobe Acrobat Standard v8.0 or from Visioneer's bundled software, Paperport SE v11, is unable to communicate with the scanner. I tried installing in compatibility mode including running it on Windows XP Virtual mode with no success. Has anyone come across this issue and found a solution?
