Samsung Laser ML 4500

I have not had any success installing this printer on Windows 7. This printer is connected via LPT1 and I have no problems when running XP. It has been suggested that the XP driver is OK but it refuses to install. Suggestions on how to overcome would be welcome.

Samsung Laser Printer - ML-1740
I really like Windows 7 so far.  MUCH more stable than Vista on my HP Laptop.  Everything has worked thus far with the exception of my Samsung Laser Printer installation.  Upon running the setup, I get an error stating that this version of Windows is not supported.  Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Samsung ML-1510 700 Laser Printer
Thought it might be of interest for anyone else with this 5 year old printer to know that on my system it works with XP drivers (downloaded from the Samsung site) but NOT Vista drivers.

Right-click on the driver file, select Troubleshoot Compatibility, and follow the instructions.

Samsung Clp 315 Color Laser Printer Does Not Work
I just bought the printer cited above, at first i could not install the 64 driver but i went to windows update and it gave me an update (driver?) for the printer, But after a reboot i lost the driver and re-installed with success the vista 64 driver from the Samsung site, but after puting the pc to sleep when re-starting i loose the driver every time.

I called Samsung but of course they won't help me with windows 7

I am thinking of bringing it back as i have 30 days and bye another brand but they are  double the price of Samsung.

Anybody would know of any solution please, it would be apreciated.

I cannot install the diagnostic program also that comes with the printer but this is miner if i can get the driver to stay.

Office Jet 4500 Drivers Issue
Up to this point I've been able to install every bit of peripheral device that I have using Vista drivers, with one exception- The OJ 4500. Hp has never been great in the drive department as far as I'm concerned. Now, that I've changed the OS to 7 they won't even let me load the driver on the machine, talk about lock down.

The only good thing is that I've ran into issues with their drivers before and I know that all you have to do is rip the .inf out of their stupid package to install the drivers.. still, it shouldn't be THAT hard to make the drivers a little more OS independent. I just wanted to rant- so /rant.

HP Laser 2605DN
I own a HP 2605DN printer that I have had on my network for quite some time. When I put Vista on my main machine about a year and a half ago I was never able to load the drivers from the original install disk. However Vista did find the printer and installed its own drivers for it. The only problem was that I did not have the option for 2 sided printing which I use quite often. I just delt with it by using another machine when I wanted to use that function.

Well in Jan I downloaded the Windows 7 beta and was way excited when it found my printer and installed everything including the driver to allow 2 sided printing. I was in  business and loving all the new features of 7. Well I got the email saying that the beta would stop working corectly on June 1 and decided to upgrade to the release client. I did not format my HD but I did do a fresh install. The RC did find my printer but could not find the driver so I told it to search the web. It came back with a driver and I thought all was well. I was wrong though because it did not load the 2 sided print ability.

I do not know what else to try I read some other posts about running in compatibility mode etc but my disk does not have drivers for Vista either.

Wireless Laser Mouse 8000
I'm used to periodic lapses when Windows forgets that I have a Bluetooth mouse & keyboard but today's behaviour was really weird.

Fortunately I keep a wired mouse and keyboard strategically hidden just in case.

I just booted into Windows 7 and noticed on the log-on screen that the mouse was behaving erratically - would judder around the screen rather than glide.

Anyway I uninstalled it once I'd booted up and went to reinstall it. It worked but Windows asked for a restart. This had never ever happened before. It even asked for the WEI to be refreshed! I've checked and I can't see anything different driver-wise. I've gone through the motions of uninstalling/reinstalling mouse and keyboard dozens of times but never had this happen.

Comments anyone?

Bluetooth Laser Mouse 5000
I have a MS bluetooth notebook laser 5000 mouse. It works fine on vista but on win 7 it will not pair up - keeps telling me it's timed out.
It is seen by bluetooth and the mouse setup reports the battery level and signal strength properly.

I've got the latest intellipoint beta drivers and deleted the registry settings that has been suggested elsewhere in this forum.

I have an HP dv7-1002tx laptop.

MS Laser Mouse 6000 Is Erratic
MS Laser mouse 6000 is very erratic.  DL and re-installing the drivers after UG helped the speed.  But, it still stutters around.

Clicking on buttons Explorer--internet or programs--is iffy at best.  Most of the time it needs to be clicked two to three times.  It appears to be a sensitivity issue.  Kind of like the pointer wants to be EXACTLY in the center before it will accept it.

MS Wireless Laser Mouse 7000
Running W7 RC 64-bit, brand-new ASUS P6T MB, oodles of RAM, Intel i7-920.  This mouse pointer occasionally freezes and can be restored to normal by (blush) waving the mouse around like a doofus.

The transceiver is on a rear chassis USB port (lots of milliamps). I am using a brand-new fully-charged battery. Latest MS beta 64-bit drivers. Laser path is clean and hair-free. Channel changes make no difference. Turning off WiFi makes no difference.

Intellipoint info shows battery level is fully good, and signal strength is 5 bars green.

When it works, it works fine. But every so often, the mouse pointer freezes in place. And it's doofus time.

Oki B2200 Laser Printer
i installed this printer with no problems in the first public beta. when rc 1 was released, i installed again with no problems both were 64 bit clean installs. about a month ago the printer was no longer set as default i set it as default and the hardware troubleshooter said i needed to reinstall the drivers and provided a link to download new drivers which i did and i still cannot get them to install. i have uninstalled all printer drivers turn off my printer reinstalled, set the usb, and printer port, turned printer on and still cannot get them to install.

i tried to install using compatibility mode, and i tried to manually install them and they still do not appear in the oki, or okidata list of printer drivers in the os. any suggestions as i will be recieving my copy of win 7 by the 10th and would like to do a clean install with 1 os instead of dual booting with vista

Panasonic KX-P6500 Laser Printer Drivers
I can't seem to find any drivers for this printer. Last one seems to be for XP ad I cannot get it to install the driver. It finds the .inf file and starts ionstalling the driver bt then stops and says file could not be found. My guess is the XP driver relies on a .dll or something tht is not part of W7. Anyone know of a Vista driver for this printer? I would try that if I can find it.

MS Laser 6000 Keyboard Volume Control
I started with IntelliType 6.31 from Vista and my volume controls worked fine in Windows 7. I just realized recently these keys are dead now. I upgraded to IntelliPoint 7 for Windows 7 to no avail. Every other key functions perfectly. I have looked back in my recent updates and cannot see any reason why these volume +/- keys died. The mute key still works. It still works fine when I boot into Vista.

Microsoft Wireless Laser Mouse 5000
I use Win XP Pro and most commonly AutoCAD LT 2008 with my laser mouse 5000 and have a problem when I try and utilise the middle button to PAN in AutoCAD. What should happen is that when I press and hold the middle button down, I can drag the drawing viewpoint around the screen, but it doesn't work.

I have tried reinstalling latest drivers, answers found on AutoDesk forum etc. etc. However I recently discovered by accident that I can get it to work as intended if I press the Right button and the Middle button simultaneously.
