Right Side Of Screen Is Cut Off (black Bar)
I installed Windows 7 and have a little problem with the screen. My monitor doesn't display the whole screen, it gets cut off on the right side. I tried to strech it horizontaly through the controls on my monitors, but it's not that, it's still cut off. Updated to latest video drivers (I have a 9800GT) and that's not it either, tried with diffrent resolutions, but whichever resolution I change to the right side is still cut off.
The funny thing is when I make a screenshot (with print screen) and paste into paint the image is whole, it shows the part that I don't see on my monitor. Under this is a link to a screenshot of my desktop, I drawn a black line for ilustration so you can see which part is cut off, the right side of the line doesnt display on the pc. If someone has a solution for this please write. My monitor is Hyundai Q770 (CRT), and the GPU is Gygabite 9800GT.

Black Screen - No Start Bar - No Icons
First I have read someone comments about issues regarding missing Start Bar issue however this one seems to be a little more challenging. I have been using Window 7 RC for approximately 6 weeks and everything was working (generally speaking very good). However, yesterday upon power-up I log on as usually and after the login I have a black screen, period. No Start Bar, No desktop icons, No Sidebar, just a black screen. Mouse right click does nothing, Ctrl Alt and Delete brings up Task Manager and from there I can run all programs without problems. This issue occur both in the Admin Account and the Guest Account. I can open the sidebar and then see the Icons however on a re-start I'm back to the black screen same issues. I have done another install of Windows 7 RC yesterday and again the same issues occur. I have completely Virus checked and Malware checking the machine prior to yesterday's install and found nothing abnormal. Whereas I have two montiors I 've checked out whether it maybe defaulted to the 2nd - Not - Re installed the Windows Graphic Drivers as well. I also tried system Restore before I re-installed windows 7 same result with the black screen.

Black Menu Bar In Full Screen
I have a strange problem with the Windows 7 themes. When I use F11 to make an explorer window (both ie and file explorer), the top menu bar (or maybe title bar) becomes black. This does not happen with Firefox or if I change the theme to Windows Classic or Windows 7 Basic. I've looked for help everywhere, but not been able to find any. This is really annoying! I'll attach a screen shot to visualize my problem. Has anybody else experienced this behavior?

Side By Side Configuration Error In Win7 RC X64
I have an app that we develop in house using a run time supplied by a company called Micro Focus. I can successfully run this app in Vista/XP/2000 (x86/x64). For some reason when running it in a brand new copy of Windows 7 RC x64 though, I get a message that the app failed to start since it's side by side configuration was incorrect. I've done some searching and some suggestions were to reinstall the Visual C++ 2008/2005 redistributables. So I tried both of those in the x64 and x86 versions, and got the following error (copied from event viewer): Product: Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable -- Error 1935.An error occurred during the installation of assembly So I guess two things: 1: Any suggestions to get the side by side error to go away 2: If your suggestion is to reinstall the VCR, any suggestions to fix the error I get during the install?

Place Windows Along The Side Of The Screen
I see that W7 has some functionality that wants to place an open window against one of the sides of the screen. I have a need to push a non-maximized window past the edge of the screen. How do I turn this "auto-align feature" off (sorry, don't know what it's actually called).Â

Mouse Pointer Goes Out Of Boundaries On Right Side Of Screen
On my Windows 7 RC on the top right hand corner of the screen the mouse pointer will go way off the screen, where the other corner it stops at the edge. This is bad when you are trying to scroll using the bar as the pointer will slip off the screen. Anyone else ran into this yet. Other than this, Windows 7 is a rock solid and fast operating system that I really enjoy.

Thumbprint Scanner And Buttons On Side Of Screen Quit Working
I recently installed Windows 7 on my HP Tablet computer and ever since I did that the program for the fingerprint scanner didn't upgrade or download. Also when I rotate my computer screen to lay flat, to write on the screen, the screen will not rotate. There is a button already installed on the computer to rotate the screen however that button is not working either. The buttons used to play, pause and switch songs are still working but the buttons on the front for other programs are not working. I have tried searching for a fingerprint scanning program and ways to fix the buttons that are not working but to no avail. My computer is an HP Pavilion tx2635us and is now in the Windows 7 setup not Windows Vista.

Touch Screen Issue: Touch Recognized On Wrong Side Of Screen
So I have a small 10" touch screen  as a secondary screen and it is recognized and installed when I plug it in the computer. My problem is that the actual touching is severly misplaced and I can not use the calibration tool (Tablet PC Settings in control panel) to correct this problem. It is as if the vertical and horisontal inputs of the screen has been swapped. If I touch the right side on the screen and drag my finger to the left I can see the cursor go from the top to the bottom and if I touch the top and drag down the cursor goes from the left side of the screen to the right side of the screen. Installing the drivers from the manufacturer of the touch controller, http://www.eeti.com, did not help at all. It just says there are no touch controllers connected to my computer. Is there a way I can correct this problem?

Side By Side Error
I make a small application on Windows 7 with Visual Studio 2008. With Win7 Beta I had no problems, but after upgrading (new clean install) to Win7 RC, the debug version of my application doesn't start anymore. The release version has no problems. When I try to start the debug version the following error is shown (I get it in german, but I this is more or less the translation): "Application failed to start becasue side-by-side configuration is incorrect". I know this error, when someone trys the application and some libs (MFC) are not installed. But I never got this error on my development machine.

Title Bar Positioned Off The Screen
When using multiple monitors, I often get problems with windows being positioned such that the title bar is off the top of the screen so you can't drag the window back in to play. I've used multiple monitors on many different PCs since 1999 and always had this problem - though it definitely seems to be exacerbated now by the fact that I hibernate the laptop when moving it between home and work, and my secondary monitors at home and work are different resolutions.

Boot Screen Reverted To Low Resolution Green Bar
I resized a couple of my partitions, so I had to rebuild my BCD. No problems there. However, when I log into Win 7 now, the animated high resolution boot screen reverted to the low res green bar with Microsoft Corp underneath. I am stumped as to how to reenable the high res boot screen. - first rebuilt the BCD entirely using the DVD: no joy - used bootrec /fixmbr and bootrec /fixboot from DVD: no effect - The NoGui flag in msconfig is not set (toggled it, when ticked there is no gui :P, unticking it again yielded the low res screen again)  Anyone here have more ideas on this?

Task Bar On Top, Start Menu Is Always Full Screen Height
I prefer my Task Bar across the top of the screen, rather than at the bottom. I also like it to autohide. This is my preference. This seems to work okay but for one thing. When I click the Start button the start menu expands to the full height of the screen, making the thing I'm most likely to want to click on ("All Programs") as far away from my mouse as is possible! I've been told by various fanboys not to crave the Classic start menu any more, as clearly I am a dinosaur for wanting that. Fair enough, I'm trying to use what's given to me by Windows 7. Is there a setting or trick that will allow my Start menu to be only as high as it needs to be? Even if it's only half the height of the screen that will be a relief. And don't say I should move my Task Bar to the bottom, that's not gonna happen.

Keyboard Cut Out
So I just installed Windows 7 Professional 64-bit on my Sony Vaio VGN-FZ240E Laptop. Everything installed okay and worked just fine until I restarted it for the first time to update my touchpad drivers. After I restarted, my keyboard would not function and Sony provides no drivers for it on their website. Sony also makes it clear that they do not support a Windows 7 upgrade on my model(which is slightly ridiculous, but whatever...). It's an Intel Core 2 duo, so I know it's 64-bit capable and everything WAS working the first time I installed it. I have no clue what to do, but my laptop keyboard is slightly useless, which poses a big problem, lol. If there is anyone out there with advice, I would greatly appreciate it!

Post Is Fine Then Black Screen After Windows Start Screen
After a fresh install of Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit everything is great until I shut it down. When I turn it back on the boot is normal until just after the startup screen then the Monitor goes black and into sleep mode while the PC seems to continue on. It doesn't do it all of the time. I have loaded all the latest drivers for Win 7 for all the hardware I have. I post mentioned the CRT Monitor had to be shut down for and hour then he could see the windows screen. He also said the LCD monitor was fine. So, is this the fix? a new Monitor? or is there some setting I can adjust to get past the black/sleep screen issue?

Video Games Black Screen That Crashes While In Full Screen
All the games I had when I used Windows Vista were playable. Now with Windows 7, whenever any of my games starts in full screen mode, my monitor turns black and does nothing else. The monitor still detects my computer because the monitor gave me no error of a missing input. I cannot alt+tab or Ctrl+Alt+Del or even WindowsLogo+Tab and I am forced to cut the power and restart. After long tiring research giving me such suspects like DirectX 11, disabling Aero, to the all popular lacking computer requirements to play the game I could play before I installed Windows 7. My conclusion was I could play games as long as there are not in full screen mode or in other words Windowed Mode. Why must I play all my games in Windowed Mode to play them on Windows 7? Is there a way to fix this problem? I have already tried to play a few games in compatibility mode and it does not change anything.
