Required Cd/dvd Drive Device Driver Is Missing Install On A New System

I am installing Windows 7, FROM SCRATCH, so I can not go to a folder or run regedit. This is a virtual machine, I will be running for work. I do not care if it is Parallels or VMware, I own both.

Required CD/DVD Drive Driver Is Missing During Install
When I try to install Windows 7 on my Dell Inspiron 1545 laptop, I get to step number 4, but when I click install I get an error saying that a required CD/DVD drive driver is missing. I know that I have the most current drivers and that my DVD drive/driver is supposed to be supported by Windows 7. Do you know what the problem could be? Is it possible that my installation DVD is messed up?

A Required CD/DVD Drive Device Is Missing
So I have this problem that it would appear heaps of others have:

I have a Kogan Agora pro: Kogan Agora Netbook PRO - Kogan Technologies Pty Ltd

It does have a sata hdd. I looked through the BIOS but couldn't find any places to change the sata settings to AHCI or raid.

I am trying to install from a usb key (using an ISO I created from an install dvd) but had the same problem with a downloaded iso. Also tried to install using the default language settings (As identified by David76 in another thread) but no luck.

I think it relates to the SATA HDD. I put the drivers for the netbook onto a seperate usb drive which it finds and lists in the box but none of the drivers do anything (hit next it thinks about things for a while then says no new drivers found).

I am really starting to get a bit ticked and regretting my move away from linux. If it wasn't for a few particular programs I use that don't work on linux i would have given up ages ago.

It seems like this problem has been popping up a lot and I've read threads on it all over the place, but it doesn't seem like any solutions have been posted anywhere yet.

A Required CD / DVD Drive Is Missing
I'm trying to install (a clean one) the Windows 7RC (32bit) on my Mac Book Pro 4.1. My problem is, the installation is giving me this message  "A required CD/DVD drive is missing. If you have a driver floppy disk, CD, DVD or USB Flash drive, please insert it now". Try the Windows7UpgradeAdvisorSetup.exe, but it runs for hours and hours, and shows nothing.

So, how can I solve this problem. The CD/DVD is a Matshita DVD-R UJ-867 ATAPI. Searched the internet, but did not find anything helpful. Also, I've downloaded the Win 7RC about a week before MS remove it from the site, so, I suppose it is the final version.

Required CD/DVD Driver Is Missing
I have been trying to install Windows 7 Professional x86 several times, and always encounter the same problem.

I downloaded Windows 7 via the MSDN Academic Alliance and then copied all files to a recently reformatted 4Gb USB stick.

Then I changed the BIOS settings on my computer to boot from the USB drive, and it boots and then starts. When i press on the Install button however, it says its starting the install but then quickly and the following message appears;

"A required CD/DVD drive device driver is missing. If you have a driver floppy disk, CD, DVD, or USB flash drive, please insert it now.

Note: If the Windows installation media is in the CD/DVD drive, you can safely remove it for this step." The message also allows me to browse for said missing drivers, but i cant find any drivers anywhere.

A CD/DVD Device Driver Is Missing Problem
My installation comes up with a message "A CD/DVD device driver is missing" then prompts you to browse for a driver. This is really stupid because the only CD/DVD is the one that win 7 is using to do the install and it is already reading from that.I abandoned the x64 install and went for x32 and this installs with no problem as does the x64 Beta Any ideas on how to fix it?

LG Dvd/rw (Sata) Device Driver Missing
Just got the new public version of windows 7 this morning, and now I'm confused. I have a new LG dvd/rw (Sata) which I am trying to use to install windows 7, but I always get this message after I reboot my computer and after the "setup is starting" screen: "a necassary cd/dvd device driver missing" and it asks me to browse / search for the driver.

Now thinking it might be my dvd drive, I got another one.... same story, I tried by loading windows 7 on a 4gb thumb drive STILL happened. As a last ditch effort I tried to disconnect the dvd drive and install using my thumb drive without a dvd drive installed at all and it STILL brought up the problem. Any body have any suggestions?

Win7 [7100] Install Can't Find Required CD/DVD Driver
I'm trying to install Win7 [7100] on my secondary harddrive, but when I go to start the install process it opens a prompt that says it "cannot find a required CD/DVD driver." When I try to choose the folder that the current DVD drive's driver is stored in, it says it "cannot find a device driver" in it.

The DVD-ROM works just fine [as evidenced by the fact that it both works in Vista and lets me boot from the DVD in it], so I'm left trying to figure out what the issue is and how to solve it.

CD/DVD Drive Device Is Missing - PCI PATA To SATA Control Card

If you have a drive floppy disk, CD, DVD, or USB flash drive, please insert it now." and then I hit OK and it says "No device drivers were found."

I then click OK. No drivers show up in the "Select the driver to be installed" list. What drivers do I have to put on to my thumbdrive for windows to install.

Pioneer DVR 113NP CD/DVD Device Driver Missing
Nothing posted here or there or anywhere works. I have Windows 2000 with a 3 month old Pioneer DVR 113NP. I have burned it fast and slow, with multiple media and programs and always the same result "...cd/dvd driver blah blah blah". ____ I even tried to download the compatibilty program for Windows 7, guess what you need to XP installed for it to work. Now I am thinking there is a big problem with the RC. And I understand that is why they released it to find these things but at this point I would have assumed that this type of issue would have been ironed out.

I was excited to try Windows 7 since I would like to come forward from my 2000 Professional but now ...I don't know. I feel MS is missing the boat, go to XP and issue yearly upgrades for $50( I would certainly pay for this), why re- invent the wheel every few years? Anyway, unless I see something posted as to why these issues are happening from MS I think I may have to seriously consider Linux BECAUSE I am not going to buy something I can't test drive first.

CD / DVD Driver Missing On Install - Sony DVD RW/DL
I have been trying to install Windows 7 x64 for many days now always with the same problems. I have tried v7000, v7022, & v7048.

I am trying to dual boot with Vista Home Premium x86. I have a completely empty 3rd hard drive I am trying to install too.

ok so I boot from the dvd and I get the typical windows driver loading and get to the first blue screen to install Windows 7. I click install and it says starting install then it stops and says cd/dvd device driver missing. This comes along with the brouse box to locate the driver. I have looked everywhere and do not see any kind of driver available for my DVD drive.

I have a Gateway GT5628

2.40 GHz Q6600 Core 2 Quad processor - 3gb Memory

I have upgraded my video card to a BFG Nvidia 260 gtx

& my DVD Drive to a Sony DVD-RW/DL +/- 18x DRU-840A

I have 2 SATA hard drives. 1 With Vista on it and one is just full of data.

I also have a New Western Digital Cavaiar 1TB SATA Hard Drive (This is the one I am trying to install to) I am not using any of the 3 drives in Raid configuration.

I have very limited choices in my bios to do much at all and I have updated to the newest bios available from Gateway.

Can't Install Because Critical System Driver Is Missing Or Corrupt
I've just acquired Windows 7 Professional and wanted to install it now, formatting my HDD during setup (I'm currently running XP Professional). However, when I boot from the DVD, I get the Starting Windows screen and then the Boot Manager screen opens with the error message: "Windows failed to start. A recent hardware or software change might be the cause. A critical system driver is missing or corrupt.

File: Windowssystem32DRIVERSadp94xx.sys" Tried to google it, but all I found was that it's an Adaptec driver for the Windows Kernel and that's is a Vista related problem as well.

same problem when starting Windows 7 (though he had already installed it), but fixed it by disabling driver signature enforcment. This, though, didn't work for me. And I sure didn't have any hardware or software changes, especially since I didn't even install it yet. Because I couldn't. btw, when I try to install it from XP, it seems to work fine. Stopped the progress though, don't want to have 2 OS. Any ideas? More information needed?

Unable To Get Past CD / DVD Drive Device Driver During Setup
I start the setup from a clean boot, with an empty master partition of 70GB, and after waiting a long time I do get to the "Setup is starting..." screen. After that I get THE message about the missing CD/DVD device driver.

I've tried directing it to my video card driver, but I get a message saying something about "The [NVIDIA GeForce 9400(some technical info about driver location)] device driver could not be installed. Contact vendor..." and I've tried directing it to my chipset driver, an NVIDIA nForce2 driver, and the bar at the bottom cycles 3 times then stops halfway through the 4th cycle and stays that way... last time I tried it was that way for 3 hours.

Installation From USB - Required Cd/dvd Driver Error
I have an Acer Aspire One D510 netbook with Windows XP Home.

I would like to install Win7 RTM from TechNet on it. I've tired many methods:

- manualy using diskpart
- automatic with UltraISO and WinToFlash

When the USB loads the installation I click Install now, the screen sais that the installer is preparing and after that I get an error message saying that "Required cd/dvd drive device driver is missing..."

I've tried creating the bootable USB thumb drive under Windows 7 RTM, Vista Ent and Windows XP Pro SP3 but nothing helped.

Also tried changing the SATA mode in the BIOS of the netbook from AHCI to IDE - no change. I've updated the BIOS and still nothing.

Any suggestion what else I can do to make the instalaltion from USB flash drive successful?
