Random BSOD NETIO.sys DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL
Jul 26, 2012
I have a fairly recent computer that seems to crash at random times, does not matter if it is under load or not. The driver causing this seems to be NETIO.SYS , which according to google has to to with network communication , i have updated all network drivers and the error still occurs?
I am getting these random BSOD crashes mainly when I am on Google Chrome with more than 5-6 tabs in operation. It points to NETIO.sys on the last crash.System is 64 bit Home Premium Windows 7 Dell 14 inspiron purchased in Aug 2011 and BSOD started occuring only recently. I have McAfee installed which seems to work fine.
I am getting BSOD after 5 - 10 mins of torrent client startup (Netio.sys ). I face no issues when the torrent client is not running. I tried updating drivers and installing a different torrent client but the issue still persists...
I have uploaded the crash dumps and the snapshot of the BSOD.
Windows 7 Home Premium x64 hp dv6 laptop -product id:XR628AV Using Wireless net connection The computer is nearly 1 Year old Mcafee internet security
I got a MEMORY_MANAGEMENT BSOD while browsing the internet yesterday, then some hours later, while playing a game, I got the DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL one. The next day, I got another MEMORY_MANAGEMENT while watching a video. This is a new system, about 1 month old, so I'm pretty worried about this.I also noticed that I got some corrupted downloads in the last few days, though that could be a coincidence. After getting the second BSOD, I left the windows memory test running overnight, doing an extended test. It did two passes and found no errors. Chkdisk found nothing either. I noticed the WMI errors (event ID 10) in the event log around the same time that I got the BSOD and ran the script MS provides to fix it, though from everything I read it was probably a coincidence and unrelated to the BSOD. It did not happen again after I fixed it but it hasn't been long since I ran it.
I purchased this system 2 weeks ago. I have had 2 BSODs within the time span I purchased it. I think it's the same one every time. McAfee (came with the netbook)Specs:Model: ACER AO722Processor AMD C-60 APU with Radeon(tm) HD Graphics 1.00 GHZ
I've been having recurring bsod errors lately. It went from once a month, to once a week, to once a day, to a few minutes after startup.I haven't really changed anything... they have just become more frequent. I'm almost positive it's a driver issue. I ran driver verifier with the 3 that create false positives disabled and it caused a bsod on startup everytime.
I managed to fix another problem with my computer, it was fine then earlier after work it BSOD then started freezing, I had a quick look at other forum posts but couldn't see anything exactly the same so here are my files
I have recently built a computer, and over the last few days I have had multiple BSOD. These occur when my girlfriend is downloading Sim3 "stuff", but has occured when I am getting a sc2 patch as well. Here is the info.
I have only had the KerNEL eception occur once, and it is most recent. I noticed that for some of the DRIVER exceptions its file description points to the RALINK wireless adapter. I have uninstalled and reinstalled its drivers, and have used ccleaner to try and clean out old drivers. As well, I have uninstalled my old antivirus.
I am using my system from 2 years. From past eight days I am observing BSOD.I have attached dump in zipped format created by W7F diagnostic tool.I have also attached image from CPU-Z about system. Finally I attached report from PassMark RAMMon.Image and HTML report is inside the Zip folder.
recently i have received 2 bsod. yesterday when i was playing dota 2(with itunes in background), and today when i was just browsing the internet and listening to Internet. i am reasonably sure that this is coming from a driver issue(not video drivers, i have tested several of those and the problem persist) since i have tested my computer several times with prime 95, memtest86 with no errors/issues.i also reformatted my computer less then a month ago because of this very same problem, i couldn't figure out which driver was causing my computer to crash, and was problem free for nearly 2 1/2 weeks, up in till a few days ago.in the days before the bsod i installed 3 things. daemon tools lite and fraps and windows updates. i have since uninstalled both programs.last thing as well is i have a separate hard drive where i keep several installed files on and store various videos/music/etc, i don't know if this is relevant or not.
I've recently gotten the DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL bluescreen at least twice. Once while playing WoW, but the other time while merely browsing the internet with Google Chrome. However, I've previously also had unexpected shutdowns where my computer would just quit. Wouldn't even bluescreen. Just shut off everything.
i've just changed motherboard card, memory and cpu to the new one:gigabyte p67a-d3-b3, intel core i3 2120, patriot ddr3 2x4096mb 1600mhz cl8.0 viper xtreme divison 2 llk.i changed in bios memory to 1600mhz 8-9-8-24 1.5 v (instead of 1.65v (i couldnt find option to get it to 1.65v in bios, when i changed to 1.6v system didnt run). after 1 day i got bsod. but i changed back memory to the orginal state and after about 1 hour system just got shocked. bsod didn't show up, but computer was frozen and non stop i could hear beep sound.i didn't uninstall drivers from old motherboard (don't know how). i installed new drivers for new motherboard / cpu. i didn't install again graphic card drivers (i was told i don't need to). i didn't make format either (i'd like to avoid that as much as i can).in attachment everything you want: minidump / rammon / cpu-z / and seven forums tool logs.
edit:i'd like to add that each time computer got frozen was while i was watching something on Internet?
Just to let people know that the update KB2685813, has been causing a BSOD since the update downloaded on the 22/11/2012I went thru each update on that date making a note of each on shutdown. The BSOD remained until tonight when I uninstalled the above mentioned item."This article introduces an update that installs User-Mode Driver Framework (UMDF) version 1.11 on Windows operating systems.UMDF supports user-mode drivers that are written specifically to use it. UMDF driver packages that are built by using Windows Driver Kit for Windows 7 can automatically redistribute and install version 1.11 of the files. During driver package installation, the package checks the computer to determine what version of UMDF is currently installed, and then the package updates the files to 1.11 if they are an older version. For more information about UMDF, visit the following Microsoft Developer Network (MSDN) website:General information about User-Mode Driver Framework For more information about UMDF version information, visit the following MSDN website:General information about UMDF version information"
Been having some crashes. At first they occurred on start up. Claiming the computer wasn't properly shut down. Now today, the other crashes started, with the first happening out of nowhere, the second happening upon starting a video game. I've been without crashes for a while now, only having used my browser(Opera) and copying some files to an external hard drive. As well as the SF tool.I only have 2 dump files available. SF tool file should be in attachments, unless I made a mistake somewhere
I reformatted my computer multiple times, yet my computer seems to BSOD randomly. What happenes is that everything becomes unresponsive; cant alt+tab, cant ctrl+alt+del etc etc. everything freezes randomly... then boom, BSOD. its happened twice, with no apparent pattern. And then, when it restarts, it tries booting but then it goes into the boot selection screen and my SSD is nowhere to be found. I have to power off then power on again for it to boot up and log in.

I encountered this weird bluescreen error crash in sunday morning 19.2 around 8am if i remember & i had only utorrent on and OutpostPro Security Suite 7.1. Utorrent had been on for about 6hrs at least & was uploading most of the time. I have 24mb Adsl connection with crappy 1mb upload. I bought OutpostPro Security Suite about 1,5years ago if i recall and now after crash i finally updated on my laptop from 7.1 to 7.5 and made a clean sweep for machine before plugging Web cable back.I think i added most of the system spec info into my user profile so not sure if i need to put them again in this crash message. Strange that win security center doesn't recognize my Agnitum's OutpostPro Security software as a antivir as it has firewall and antivir. At 1st i got scared that bluescreen crash would be cause of my about 1month old Psu or cause of processor since i guess it's quite dusty and been noisy & been meaning to get it cleaned for a while now. Then after the crash i was browsing ur site using my crappy laptop & found out that it may be cause of malware had something to do with netio.sys crash.Or then just network adapter had too many connections and couldn't handle the packages. I have no idea how to fix that network adapter if it's cause of that & i tried to update it & says that update not necessary. I have Win 7 x64 Home Premium Sp1 & bought it about year ago from Amazon Uk if i recall. Hdd check with Advanced Systemcare 5 showed couple errors after crash, but not anymore today so that was weird. Bluescreen included these for example and i couldn't take a picture from whole screen with my crappy phone so i took many, but all quite blurry and not wide enough.Stop: 0x000000D1 (0x0000000000000014118 2D) "Not sure if this was complete list as didn't get all to pic from right side..possibly.Netio.sys - Address FFFFF880014ce79381 "there could have been some other numbers between 001 & 4c3 but couldn't take a wide enough picture :/
Wishing u have a nice monday & start of new week and that u could help me with this case as i'm all the time thinking what if it happens again at any minute since it came by a surprise while i was browsing and had like 4-6 tabs open and utorrent was uploading "not sure if it was uploading at that moment" & had Outpost running in background so that kind of crash is weird. Sending 2x rar files which r Bsod & perfmon report.
- the original installed OS on the system? this is a built computer by myself. have had 64 bit forever on here
- an OEM or full retail version? oem
- What is the age of system (hardware)? memory is about 2 years old everything else is about 5 years old
- What is the age of OS installation (have you re-installed the OS?) os was installed a few months ago.attached is the info that was requested. these blue screens happen at completely random times. could be during boot up. could be just sitting in sleep and blue screen.
A couple weeks ago I started having random BSOD and restarts, I have researched several different solutions to no avail. At one point, I thought the problem was solved after restoring a restore point, however, the dreaded BSOD is back after a couple of days.
- Restored the earliest restore point - Ran chkdsk with no errors - Ran full scan AV (just in case) using MSSE. - Updated all Windows and drivers updates.
I believe this is related to a driver issue, however, I'm not sure which one.Attached is both the BSOD App and System Health data.
Basic specs:
- Windows 7 x64 - Original Install - OEM - System age: 6 months - OS install age: 6 months (not reinstalled)
This started happening last night while i was playing Borderlands 2, it has happened at idle, playing just about any game in my library, during downloads and just browsing the web. I changed all of my accessible drivers, and it continued to happen, so i moved all of my personal files onto my external HDD. I re installed windows on my SSD (did not reformat) and reformatted my HDD. I re installed my drivers, re-enabled SLI and it ran fine for about an hour, just downloading WoW, and then happened again twice.
I never used it heavily at the start and assumed it was just a driver and that i'd figure it out later.Well; now is later and I can't figure it out.I've done a re-install of the OS (HP recovery)This system is about a year old and is an HP Pavilion dv6 laptop with AMD Phenom II N850 Triple Core @2.2 ghz 6 gig memory 64 bit Windows 7 Home Premium.
Windows 7 32 bit My pc has 5 months which specs (it was built home): ASUS P8H61 PLUS REV 3.0 INTEL CORE i3 2120 (3.3GHZ) SKT 1155 NOX URANO 600W 12CM SLI NOX COOLBAY BLACK (WINDOW) CORSAIR 2GB DDR3 1333MHZ XMS3 (CL9) ASUS GT520 SILENT 1GB DDR3 PCI-E REVOLTEC 3 PIN Y CABLE SEAGATE 500GB SATA III 16MB (the one who as the OS installed) Old HITACHI hdd I've formated it yesterday and the error persisted. I'm not pretty sure when it occurs but usually happens when I'm using firefox (but mainly randomly).
So I do have a OC, but it was stable (Intel Burn Test, Prime95). I was playing the Binding of Isaac (flash game on steam). What is most likely the cause here?
Code: Is Windows 7 . . . - x64 - Original OS - full retail version - What is the age of system (hardware)? < 8 months on the oldest piece - What is the age of OS installation ~ 1 month
System specs are in.... my system specs. Basically 3 times now that I've came home or came to my computer after being asleep and I see that it had experienced a BSOD.
I'm running an SSD boot drive and the computer doesn't sleep/hibernate, it just turns off the monitor after 10-15 minutes.
I am getting BSOD on my installation of Win 7 Ultimate. I am attaching the latest dump file. Any idea what i should do? I have a feeling its my video driver.
Seems totally random, i cant link it with any of my programs or activites. The notebook doesnt boot up every time after the BSODs. I have an ASUS F3T-AP026 notebook, with 2x1G Kingsmax RAM. This time i can only upload 1 minidumb file, since i tried to install another Windows 7 last night. This time a "memory_management" happened, but before i encountered "bad_pool_header" "irql_not_less_or_equal" "driver_irql_not_less_or_equal" "reference_by_pointer" and i think there were some others that i dont remember. I even sent my notebook to the country ASUS service, but they said in 3 days they didnt encounter the problem.

040411-11154-01.dmp040511-9531-01.dmp040511-9282-01.dmpSeven Forums.I recently built a new computer (put it together myself) and I am having trouble with random BSOD's. I thought I had fixed the issue but it seems to be repeating.
I bought and assembled a new computer for a friend of mine, tested it, everything seemed fine, until they proved not to be. I've tested all components (proccessor, GPU, RAM, HDD) with all the tests I know for painstakingly long periods, with no errors whatsoever, but neverthelese computer keeps rebooting with BSODs at *random* intervals (independent of use).
is that it *might* be an incompatibility issue between the ram modules and the motherboard. Here I attach the SF tool results and an speccy image of the system.
I have been experiencing random bsod for the last 3 days so i deceided to format, however that didn't seem to help at all. I am thinking that it might be because of my wifi usb adapter which has been acting weird lately.Anyway here are some CPU-Z screenshots and a zip of the minidumps after formating.
EDIT: i have also attached the SF results.
EDIT2: Ran memtest, had 211712 errors only on first pass.
I recently got a Kensington HyperX SH100S3B/120G SSD. I've been getting these stange BSODs. It doesn't happen during any particular kind of activity, usually it's just browsing the web or writing documents or something.
Every time the BSODs happen, for some reason the boot order switches from the SSD to my backup drive, and I have to go into the bios and change it. But other than that, my hard drive seems to be perfectly fine functioning afterwards...what's causing this??
All my components are pretty new, so I don't think hardware failure is very likely here. I've thought maybe I should update my bios? But I'm not sure honestly. My mobo is H67MA-E35-B3 LGA 1155 H67 mATX Intel Motherboard.
