I have a eMachines ET1300-2 (yes, I know, emachines aren't great) running Win7 Ultimate.Specs: Newegg.com - eMachines ET1300-02 18.5" Desktop PC Athlon X2 4850e(2.5GHz) 3GB DDR2 160GB HDD Capacity NVIDIA GeForce G100 Windows Vista Home PremiumA family member shut it off last night but this morning it started once or twice but stopped sending signals to the monitor part way through each time. The other times I started to run it, it doesn't display any BIOS or anything, and it doesnt seem like anything is runnin except the fans and lights.I got it into safe mode initially at one point, but again, the signal to the monitor cut out and I have no idea what happened after that. Each time I power-button-ed it off.Things were running fine until recently; I did install AirDisplay (forgot there was no wifi - I'm used to my laptop which does).I think it is expected, but I tried to put in the recovery CD to boot from CD, but, of course, nothing displayed.
Alright so it worked when I left to go pay a bill. Come back and it has no signal. I tried the PC on my TV to see if it worked and it does no problem, so I know the PC is not at fault. Tried a DVI cable and a VGA. Tried restarting and powering off everything.
i read the manual and followed the instructions as best as i could but when i was done and hit the power button, everything turned on except i I'm not getting any signal on my tv. Im using an HDMI cable i'm guessing thats the problem but I'm afraid to go back and try to fix anything. I also noticed a red LED go off as soon as i hit the power button but it never lights up again. (Only once) I think its my motherboard. Also, i tried turning it on about times and the last time i turned it on, my fans connected to the motherboard were no longer turning on. Im afraid i might've burned my motherboard. Here are my specs:
I just upgraded my AMD catalyst software to 12.4 on my HTPC. Been noticing that when I am viewing via my Sharp 19"LED TV I get signal cut out after about 20 minutes. I notice this when my screen save comes on in WMC. It eventually craps out and I get "no signal" messages on my screen. It comes back if I simply click on the mouse. This never used to happen before. I could leave the HTPC on over night and simply turn the TV monitor off. When I would turn the monitor on in the morning, the Desktop would be visible. Are there new settings in 12.4 that could be causing signal cut out (i.e. like an energy saver option)?
I am experiencing a very disturbing issue with my newly installed ATI 4870 and my Windows 7 RC (7100). Prior to installing this card I had the following setup, which worked flawlessly.
nvidia 8800gt
intel p35 chipset in the motherboard
Samsung a656 40" LCD connected via a DVI to vga connector.
When I got my 4870, I uninstalled the nvidia drivers, rebooted, installed the latest (9.5) ati drivers and rebooted.
Then, I got a no signal in the monitor at the windows login screen.
Mind you, that when I (dual) boot in Vista, using the 9.4 drivers, everything is fine.
Things that I tried:
1. Creating a new monitor.inf file (located at the windows folder) using info from a post in this forum.- This should not make a difference, since I was using the same monitor.inf file in the same windows 7 installation, whitout any issues before I installed the 4870. 2. Changing the ATI .inf file to include only one resolution for the r7x cards 19 20 10 80 00 00 00 60- I think it sould be a refresh rate issue, since the vga port of the TV supports many resolutions, including 1600x1200 etc.
- It could also be an unsupported resolution, if the ATi driver cannot detect the monitor correctly. 3. Installing the windows 7 default ATI driver.
Things that I noticed:
1. I can login only in safe mode.
2. Low res mode (640x480) gets me to the login in screen, but as soon as I input my passowrd, I get no signal.
This morning I was on facebook, playing games, and the computer crashed. A blue screen popped up and gave an error but was gone before I could read anything. I have replaced the video card and the power supply
I added speakers to my computer and now I have this message on my monitor "HDMI NO SIGNAL" Everything seems to be working etc. I can get on the Interenet, play viedeos, email and all software is useable. How do I get that message off of my monitor?
I have a brand new custom built computer. I assumed that I could take a cloned drive of my old computer and install it in my new one. Well, I took the hard drive from my new computer and installed it in an external drive case and cloned to this drive using Acronis clone tool. Then I installed the cloned drive back in my new computer. Now no signal whatsoever to the monitor. My monitor is good as I tried my old computer with it and it works fine. I hope I haven't done major to my new computer
Starting today my computer has been randomly turning itself off, although running lights are still on, and the computer sounds as if it is still running normally.Essentially what happens is that it crashes out, the monitor says input signal lost and then nothing happens. First two times it crashed whilst using Photoshop. Third time I installed a program to monitor the HDD temp. It was running just over 40c when it crashed again (had a low end game running to see if the HDD temp would rise). I waited 30 min before turning the computer on each time.Opened the case to check for any build up of dust, it seemed fine.I have also checked that all the cables are plugged in correctly. Also definitely something wrong, because holding down the power button didn't turn it off. Had to turn the computer off by the switch at the back of the computer.Only thing new with the comp today was updating Microsoft.Net framework, a few hours before the first time it crashed.
Its my own configured desktop with 2GB RAM, core2duo processor, 2TB HDD . Earlier I used to get BSOD error but it has been stopped now.. but started giving new error. Monitor turns black showing no signal msg on display, PC get restarted 2-3 times and then only get started. After staring it'll show message that, "Windows has been recovered from an unexpected shutdown" and shows problem details as
Problem signature: Problem Event Name:BlueScreen OS Version:6.1.7600.2.0.0.256.1 Locale ID:16393
Sometimes when I turn on my computer although computer starts but the monitor doesn't show anything. I unplug the power cable from back of computer and then replug it and after that monitor starts responding (it starts showing desktop), how can this problem be fixed.
Got a PC with Nvidia GeForce 6150 graphics card with no overclocking. Sometimes the monitor loses signal and does not work. Sometimes it works just fine. I've tried different VGA cable and different monitor, situation didn't change. I've got 4 different connectors.
- 1 VGA and DVI on Nvidia - 1 VGA and DVI built in into motherboard.
Sometimes, when the Nvidia doesn't work, I connect to built-in card and monitor starts working. Next time when it's out, I connect back to Nvidia. There have been situations when only one of the four connectors is working. This means that on one graphics card there may be only one connector which is functioning. I don't get this. Problem isn't in the display nor the cable. It also doesn't seem to be in the graphics card as the built-in connectors aren't fully functional neither.
My problem is that if I connect the computer via DVI to a display it functions normally, but when I hook it up via HDMI to my Flat screen, it doesn't show the splash screen that gives you the option to enter bios. The screen just stays black until the windows welcome screen(win 7 64bit) comes up, then it acts totaly normal from that point. When I try to press the del key during the boot, I believe it is entering the bios, but the screen remains black so I can't see anything. I am guessing that the MB is not sending the signal to the Flat Screen until it loads windows, but can't find out anywhere that confirms that or what to do in order to resolve it.
Up to the other day my external monitor worked no problem, the laptop sees the monitor but on my external monitor it just keep coming up "no input signal" and going into stand by and I have tried other monitors and other vga leads its a dell latitude e5510,
I have a white box tower with a ASUS P5KPL-CM Motherboard I turn it on and I get a black screen, no signal to the monitor,so I plugged in my old Sony tower and the monitor works. So it's not the monitor or the cable( switched them a few times by now) I believe it is the new tower. I think it might be the VGA card but know little about these things. Manual says it is a Intel Graphics Media Accelerator (Intel GMA 3100).Or could it be something else? By the way I have Windows XP if that makes a difference.
I turn on the computer, goes past the bios screen as normal, does the windows loading screen as normal, then the screen goes black and the "No Signal" message is displayed.
Now, here is why it is different. I type in my password and press enter, without being able to see and wait for the logon sound to play, then if I unplug monitors cable, I hear the noise of windows telling me a device has been disconnected, I plug it back in again the device connection noise then plays and low and behold, there is the desktop.
I have been running Windows 7 build 7100 for roughly about three weeks until this started happening about one week ago.
MONITOR: ViewSonic VX1932wm
GPU: Sapphire HD4850 512mb
Also, I have noticed too after logging, randomly Aero will disable itself, I have to open the 'Personalize' option and run the troubleshoot to get it to fix itself again.
I assume this is the correct section, as I am experiencing visual issues. Apologies if this is not the correct section.
I encountered a new issue with my PC and I sincerely don't know what to do. In fact, after a while, the monitor is showing no signal. I changed the video card with a brand new one and still my PC will do the same. Is there a worm or software issue or the motherboard miss-fires?
When I start my computer with drivers installed my monitor loses the signal when I should be receiving a log in screen. I can boot up fine in safemode and/or if I'm using Standard VGA Graphics Adapter. To my knowledge I do not have an onboard graphics card as there is nothing to plug an avi or vga cord into aside from my graphics card. I should also mention I tried using an NVIDIA GeForce 8500 GT and experienced the same problem.
I have used the search feature but it seems like others are having different problems with the 6200 than I am.
Whenever I install either the Default Windows 7 found driver or the Nvidia 195.62 Driver for my 6200 video card my system boots up, shows the Windows 7 startup screen and then the screen goes black like I had unplugged the monitor, the only way I can get video back in normal mode is to go into Safe Mode and disable the Video Card.
I've seen that it might be a refresh rate issue, but it won't let me change the refresh rate, the only option I have is "Use Hardware Default Setting"
after hardrive died a6417c hp installed hardrive (up the drive to 1 tb western black and windows 7 ) sound system works except no sound display on screen.
i just recently built a new gaming rig and am running an SSD for boot up.
Everything turns out just fine except when after the windows logo appears, I can hear a little crackle noise from my headphone then the monitor loses signal and my g15 keyboard LCD turns off, then a few moments later my monitor and keyboard comes back to normal and i am a the login screen. It is not a big deal but am just puzzled at why it would do this.
It does slow down my boot speed by a lot especially for an SSD. Anyone know how i can speed this up? Someone told me disable USB 3.0 to speed things up. Any problems with Asrock MOBO drivers that could affect this?
I am facing this problem, mostly while playing games and sometimes even when operating computer normally. Earlier I used to get BSOD but now it comes rarely. I tried almost everything but wont able to solve this problem:
- Formatted my computer - Changed OS - Reinstalled OS - Even changed my monitor
When I switch on the computer, on the monitor, I just see the start window and green dots running, then the monitor screen went black and say 'no signal', I can't even switch off the computer unless holding the switch button for a while.
if i play a video file with vlc media player or a video on Internet, out of the ordinary happens more often and often. it looks like everything freezes. my monitor doesn't receive any signal from the pc, so it turns pitch black. the audio freezes.the sound that comes out of the speakers are a repeating sound in a jam.
I have a really strange problem, after a while (1-2 minutes) Windows just seems to freeze, the monitor signal dies and so does the keyboard and mouse. This seems to be pretty much random and does not occur at a specific time. Safe mode works well without the problem. This problem occurs both during the installation and on the installed OS. I managed to install Windows using safe mode (multiple times). I have been running XP and Linux on the same machine for a long time without any problems.
I have tried to install it multiple (allot) times, using different CDs and USB memory, same result. Even different isos. The iso I'm using is from MSDNAA and it's CRC checked. I have removed all "extra" hardware, disabled BIOS integrated hardware and usb stuff. No luck. I only have 1 monitor connected so it's not a multiple monitor problem, even tried booth DVI connectors. Have installed all the latest updates and tried different nvidia drivers.
ive got a problem with my new viewsonic vx2753mh-led monitor. its got 2x hdmi inputs and one vga.the vga works straight off the bat, but whenever I try and plug the hdmi in it just says no input signal detected and goes black I noticed in device manager that this was installed as 'generic non-pnp monitor' so after jumping through some hoops i managed to install the driver as 'viewsonic vx2753 SERIES' anyway this doesnt seem to have made a difference. still no input through the hdmi.I have tested to cord on my samsung tv and it worked fine so it can't be a problem with the cord or the graphics card....just some general info that might be of use:
windows 7 x64 dual monitor setup
the graphics is integrated on the intel i5 chip my display adapters in device manager says Intel(R) HD Graphics Family.it has a dvi out, hdmi out, and vga out.
I accidentally deleted all the display drivers off of the computer, the computer restarted and now the computer has just seemed to screw up completely. The computer turns on however I get no signal from the monitor, it's on but nothing on the screen so i cant get into BIOS or anything.
I've tried: - Using different cables - Taking out and putting the CMOS battery in - Using different Monitors
I just installed my ATI Radeon X1950 XT sapphire graphics card to my computer. I inserted it into the slot and plugged it in. Now when I turn on my computer the monitor keeps getting the Check Signal Cable error. I have it plugged in properly and everything not sure what is going on.
