Networking Printer Samsung Clx 3170

It was compatible with windows vista ultimate as a network printer but now. I lost the printer

I manually over rode the installer for the drivers and set it up to be compatible with vista,
and I have nothing...still

I am running the 64 bit edition with the 64 bit edition drivers...

Samsung CLX-3160FN will not print landscape with Office 2010, worked fine with Office 2007. My printer goes into landscape, but reverts when you proceed with next step to printing.  I now cannot print envelopes or any Excel documents that require the landscape position.

Samsung Ml-2510 Printer Driver
I have a Samsung ML-2510 that I recently purchased and I can not get it to work with Windows 7.  I have tried the xp driver and the Vista driver running in vista compatibility mode as an administrator and have had no success.  The reason I bought this printer was because my older hp deskjet 3745 would not work with Windows 7 and it had no vista driver so I ran it in compatibility mode and it also did not work.  Both these printers work fine in xp mode.  I would like help with the samsung primarily but also with the hp.

Samsung Laser Printer - ML-1740
I really like Windows 7 so far.  MUCH more stable than Vista on my HP Laptop.  Everything has worked thus far with the exception of my Samsung Laser Printer installation.  Upon running the setup, I get an error stating that this version of Windows is not supported.  Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Samsung ML-2510 Printer Problem
I tried searching this before couldn't find a thread with the issue I have...

1) Windows 7 64bit has a Samsung ML-2510 USB printer installed

2) I shared the printer in Windows 7

3) x64 drivers are installed but could not installed x86 drivers. It keeps saying the driver is not for the processor architecture (using the driver I used for WinXp)

4) In Advanced Sharing Options, I enabled Sharing and disabled password. I only have one account with no password, on Win 7 Machine.

5) Windows Xp laptop is a work machine and part of a domain, so I can NOT change the workgroup to "Workgroup"

6) Tried installing the printer using Win7MachineSamsung command in Winxp run dialog

7) Printer windows opens up showing "Initializing" and then get 'ready'

8) NOTHING happens when I try to print a test page.

Is there a way I can use the printer? I used to be able to print without any problem, when I was on XP.

Networking Epson Printer
Epson printer is connected through usb on xp PC. Win7 can see printer from xp machine and trys to get drivers from xp machine, no win7 drivers on that machine so thats a no go.So I connect printer to win7 machine, no problem win7 installs drivers and all works.Next reconnect printer to xp machine. In theroy all I need to do is get into the printer properties on win7 machine and chage the port from local to a USB virtualport and point it to the xp machine.

Atleast that what it looks like when connected with two xp machines.I cannot change the standard usb port settings through the print properties port configure. If I try and make a new usb virtualport it asks for a driver. So what driver would I point it to and where is it?Or could I install printer as network printer and point to the local driver in win7 machine, where would that driver be and which one?Note: I am connecting machines via workgroup and not win7 homegroup.

Samsung Clp 315 Color Laser Printer Does Not Work
I just bought the printer cited above, at first i could not install the 64 driver but i went to windows update and it gave me an update (driver?) for the printer, But after a reboot i lost the driver and re-installed with success the vista 64 driver from the Samsung site, but after puting the pc to sleep when re-starting i loose the driver every time.

I called Samsung but of course they won't help me with windows 7

I am thinking of bringing it back as i have 30 days and bye another brand but they are  double the price of Samsung.

Anybody would know of any solution please, it would be apreciated.

I cannot install the diagnostic program also that comes with the printer but this is miner if i can get the driver to stay.

Networking From Printer Attached To Winxp PC To Win7
The printer, HP Photosmart 2575 is connected in another room to a PC with Windows XP and I cant get it to show up in Windows 7 at all.

An Ethernet cable runs from the PC in the other room to my router in my room.

Also, when I managed to get it working on Windows Vista previously, my god it was slow performance.

Shall I install the printer drivers on this machine, and if so, how do I set the compatibility mode?

If anyone has any questions to ask me, let me know!

Networking A Printer With A Vista X32 System
Can someone please help me or point me to a guide on how to enable/share a printer between a Windows 7 RC and a vista system?

I have a HP printer connected to my Windows 7 RC x64 system and it prints from my computer just fine. I pulled up the settings and told it I wanted to share the printer as "Win7HP" to make the name easy. Anyway when I went down to my roomates computer I didn't see the printer and if I try to click my computer name under his network window I get a pop up asking for a user name and a PW. What am I doing wrong? I would hate to have to install another partition of Vista x64 just so he can print using my printer.

When we had things set up before he never had to "log in" from his computer to access my printer.

HP LaserJet 1200 Printer Networking Problem
I need to share my HP LaserJet 1200 printer with my other computer running XP Home SP3 x86.

I can get my printer shared, but with x64 drivers, when I click additional drivers for x86, I get asked for x86 Printer Drivers. I got those already, but then it asks for Windows media (x86). Do I need to get the Windows 7 x86 7232 ISO for those files? or the XP Home x86 CD? Read more at forums...

Networking Woes (file And Printer Sharing)
Ok, so I have a couple of issues with my home network. I have 4 machines networked on a wireless network. Router is a Linksys WRT54G with WPA encryption using TKIP (if that makes any difference). One machine is running Win 7, one is running, Vista, and the other two are running XP Home. Both of the XP computers are using old Linksys WMP11 PCI wireless adapters. I will refer to the computers as W7MACHINE, VISTAMACHINE, XPMACHINE1, AND XPMACHINE2.

1. Ok, so my first problem is kinda simple. I'm trying to share my profile folder on W7MACHINE (C:UsersMe) over the network. I have it set to share, permissions give everybody full access, but none of the other machines can access it. They can see it, but when they try to access it they get an error telling them access is denied. Password-protected sharing is disabled, by the way. Why can't I access it?

2. The second problem is really the biggie. I have a Lexmark X5270 connected to XPMACHINE2, and I want to set up the other computers so they can print on it. XPMACHINE1 prints on it fine, no problems. Neither the Vista nor the Win 7 machine, however, can install it via the Add Printer -> Network Printer utility. Both W7MACHINE and VISTAMACHINE have the drivers installed on them, however, the company has not released drivers for Win 7 yet. When the printer is physically connected to W7MACHINE, it works fine with the Vista drivers.

Whenever I try to add the printer via the Add Printer->Network Printer utility, however, I get an error saying that Windows could not access the printer (error 0x0000000d). So, I tried the method that I found here and a few other places of telling the computer it's on a local port, creating XPMACHINE2Printer as the port, then trying to install. However, all this does is give me an interminable "installing printer..." dialog box, which I have let run for over an hour with no results. When I cancel it, I have to end the task via the Task Manager.

XPMACHINE2 also has a printer connected to it, an HP OfficeJet 4200 Series, which both the Win 7 and Vista computers can access, print on, etc. just fine. So, why can't I access the printer on the other computer? Is the printer too old? Is the computer too old?

3. My third problem isn't very important, but it's bugging me. When I go to the network map in Vista or Win 7, both XP machines are listed down at the bottom of the map because "Windows could not place the following discovered device(s) on the network map". I've heard this has to do with the Link-Layer Topology thing, but both XP computers are running SP3, which was supposed to include that fix. I've tried the method for fixing it found here, but they still don't show up.

DLNA Samsung TV
I have a Samsung LN40A750 TV and apparently for the "A" versions you can no longer get the linkstick. I ordered a "B" version of the linkstick but it didn't work (it said it wouldn't but I figured I'd try it anyway).

In the end I settled on purchasing a Linksys WET610N Wireless bridge. That worked as the TV has an IP address and I can use WiseLink to see the content being shared from the computers on my network.

The PLAYTO feature in Windows is what really want to work with this lashup but the TV is not recognized by Windows 7 as a device.

Any thoughts on how to get the TV to be recognized as a device while connected to the bridge? Is this something provided by the linkstick for this TV?

BTW, it does identify the WET610N wireless bridge as a device in Windows.

I have a Samsung Omnia 2 phone. It too is DLNA compliant and I can PLAYTO that device.
