NVidia Display Drivers (9800 GT) Constant BSOD Crashes
Since I've installed windows 7 64 bit I have been receiving constant BSOD crashes sometimes over 5 times a day. I researched around and found a program called blue screen view to log my crashes and kind of saw that the nvidia drivers were causing the blue screens most of the time however other drivers cause it too sometimes.
When I uninstall my nvidia 9800 gt driver that windows update installs my computer runs fine with no crashes. However when I let it install the driver or install a new driver over that one it always crashes.Â
If I uninstall the driver and then try and reinstall just the new driver I get an error every time saying that the NVidia setup doesnt recognize my hardware and the setup will exit. So I cannot even install the new drivers without windows update installing it first.
I have been reading a lot of similar stories where people with NVidia cards are having BSOD crashes constantly. Microsoft and NVidia you really need to fix this because my computer is pretty much unusable for the past few weeks now. Any one have any fixes or ideas how to fix this problem?

Constant BSoD Crashes
'Hanging onto Windows XP? See what you're missing.', says Windows 7 ad... Sorry for this dramatic intro, but those BlueScreens have become too frustrating, and they are everything I'd been missing before. My machine is less than 3 years old. From the beginning I have XP onto it. Then, I installed Vista, but after experiencing constant crashes (BSoD), I downgraded it back to XP. Recently, I decided to give Windows 7 a chance. Before that, I ran Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor just to be sure, and everything passed OK. All the devices were rated as compatible, just as my system (AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual 4600+, 2.41 GHz, 1 GB of RAM; Radeon X1600 graphic...). I installed fresh copy of Windows 7, but the same thing is happening - BSod, BSod, BSoD and BSod only - up the 5 minutes after Login. Just like that! I have only updates and drivers over Microsoft update installed. Nothing else! This are only six crash analysis (of many) within past week: On Sun 11/8/2009 3:19:30 AM your computer crashed This was likely caused by the following module: win32k.sys Bugcheck code: 0xA (0xCCB4C38, 0x2, 0x1, 0x828A148C) Error: IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL Dump file: C:WindowsMinidump110809-23421-01.dmp file path: C:Windowssystem32win32k.sys product: Microsoft® Windows® Operating System company: Microsoft Corporation description: Multi-User Win32 Driver

Nvidia, 9600 GT Or 9800 GT Drivers Cds
Ok I am running 2 dual video cards, both by Nvidia, 9600 GT & 9800 GT. Do I need to use both CD's to re-install the drivers for Win 7 64? Or are the drivers already updated with Win 7? Or do I need to go to Nvidias website and get the latest drivers?

Constant BSOD, Cannot Find The Cause
I've been getting the blue screen consistently for several weeks now and dispite my trying and troubleshooting I can't find a cause. So far I've reinstalled Windows 7 RC, stopped using Kaspersky (I read it was causing problems for some), completely removed my video card, checked the memory and the HDD. I'm at the end of my rope.Hopefully you fine folks can help me figure this pickle out? Let me know what I can provide that may help. For now here are two instances since I reinstalled Win7 RC: Problem signature: Problem Event Name: BlueScreen OS Version: 6.1.7100.2.0.0.256.1 Locale ID: 4105 Additional information about the problem: BCCode: 1000007e BCP1: FFFFFFFFC0000005 BCP2: FFFFF800028C8E49 BCP3: FFFFF880009A99D8 BCP4: FFFFF880009A9230 OS Version: 6_1_7100 Service Pack: 0_0 Product: 256_1Problem signature: Problem Event Name: BlueScreen OS Version: 6.1.7100.2.0.0.256.1 Locale ID: 4105

Constant Reboots With NVIDIA 9800M GT (Samsung R710)
I have been trawling this site since Oct 22 for help with my problem, some pointers have worked to some extent but now I have reached a dead end so here's my post: I have custom installed Windows 7 64 over an OEM Vista Home Premium on my Samsung R710 - a very pretty little laptop. Everything works great except the driver for my video card, an Nvidia 9600M GT. According to Dev Manager my GPU is currently running under a VGA compatible video controller which can only give me basic video display, no Aero or proper gaming display. After struggling to find an Nvidia driver that would recognize my card similar to other posters in this forum, I came across the 186.81 driver (186.81_notebook_win7_winvista_64bit_international_whql) on the Nvidia site. Using Internet Explorer, this driver is automatically detected for my system and after downloading detects my GPU and installs right over the VGA driver. Great. Not so great: I cannot boot into Windows 7. I get the 'Windows is Starting' screen with the whirling lights and the beatific windows logo shining away but just before the mouse pointer should appear the display completely switches off (not black screen) and reboots ad infinitum. Only a safe mode disinstall of 186.81 and 2 reboots will allow to get back into Windows 7 with the VGA driver back in control. The funny thing is, after looking at other peoples problems on this site I DID get 186.81 to work for a few hours. Aero was working and I was playing the new Dyson game on Steam, but a sudden reboot dropped me into the cycle described above. Because I had also done some messing around with the OEM drivers from Samsung I thought I had screwed something up; so, I executed a recovery back to Vista and a completely new custom install of Windows 7 64. I reinstalled 186.81 but immediately met the same reboot problem. Now then. I have tried monkeying around with the VGA driver file: vgapnp.sys in system32 (no change to reboot situation), looking at ntbtlog.txt (completely fruitless), updating the BIOS from Samsung (this driver fails to load in Windows 7), every driver someone has recommended (the drivers usually install but result in same reboot situation) and the MS Update Catalog drivers (same reboot deal). Essentially, I can get a compatible Nvidia driver to install but my system will not accept it and reboots until remove the offending driver in safe mode.

Build 7100, Constant 0x00000124 BSOD
I'm at my wits about this and for now, I will probably give up on RC1. Three, 32-bit installations have produced this stop error: 0x00000124: 0x00000000 0x85A7301C 0xB66D4000 0x00000135 I had it happen on my first installation, reinstalled it, and it happen over & over again. Thinking that I might have had a corrupt download, I downloaded and installed another copy. I thought I was through the woods, but it happened on this latest copy of Build 7100 several hours ago. And it can occur just sitting on the desktop, doing nothing (no running programs). Reading through past threads, this apparently is a common problem with Build 7100. Oddly, it seems that that the Beta versions did not have this problem. Two things that I'm thinking could be related: 1.) I have tri-boot system: Vista, XP, and Windows 7 are each on their own seperate HDD. 2.) My Phenom II 940 CPU & NB are both overclocked, but completely stable on XP & Vista.

Installing Win 7 Ultimate BSOD / Nvidia Drivers
Trying to do a clean install of Windows 7 Ultimate on brand new pc . Initially I got quite a way through the installation then it came up with an error saying the computer closed unexpectedly and had to restart to continue installation. I had got my monitor connected to the nvidia gt 9500 via divX. Said Ok, pc shut down, then restarted with exactly the same message. Read up on the Net and said that it could be the nvidia card, so got to device manager and removed drivers so it had to use standard vga drivers and switched to the vga connection on the graphics card (I dont' have onboard graphics on my motherboard). Well, now it doesn't have the old problem it has a new one. I am booting straight from the dvd drive and it lets me get to the Windows install page, I select custom install and it gets to anything between 2 and 72% of expanding the files (second stage on list) and then it blue screens with various errors. the last one being this: STOP: 0x0000008E (0xc0000005, 0x81851844, 0x86914B04, 0x00000000) fltmgr.sys address 81851844 base at 81848000. Datestamp: 4a5bbf11 Have tried ringing the tech support from where I got the pc but they say they don't support windows 7 yet. CD that has come with the pc for the motherboard says that it is windows 7 ready (but that probably doesn't mean anything). Nvidia 8800 SLI Graphics Card Drivers Crashing / Bsod
I have a Dell XPS 630i which had previously been on Vista-32. I recently upgraded to Windows 7 64-bit with a custom install and found myself in a world of driver pain. The drivers included from microsoft, as well as the drivers from nvidia, are all crashing constantly. Any time I try and run any game I wind up with the driver restarting itself, the game becoming unplayable, and strange multi-colored pixels all across the screen. Also, I occasionally get BSODs. This driver seems to want to fail and "recover" all the time making my system almost completely unusable. Sometimes this happens when doing simple things like opening Internet Explorer So far I have: Re-installed Windows 7 - 64 TWICE Tried almost every NVidia Driver for the card listed under windows 7 64 (Used Driver Sweeper, Safe Mode, etc) Tried playing with fan speeds to see if it was an overheating issue (its not) Debated on throwing my expensive paperweight out the window. Debated on being more reasonable and chucking the graphics cards out the window, buying an ATI card, and never buying another NVidia product again Debating going back to Vista  I am at a complete loss as to what I should do from here. Any help would be appreciated.  system's specs: Mobo - Nforce 650 SLI (or whatever mutilated version of that Dell ships) RAM - 4gb Corsair Dominator (not OCed) Processor - Q6600 @ 2.4ghz (not OCed) GFX Card(s) - 2x Nvidia geforce 8800 GT in SLI - 1gb total video RAM (also.. not OCed.. in fact, I haven't OCed anything, so this is NOT an OCing issue) All of the above were stable in Vista-32. Never touched any of the overclocking options. Everything in the case is what Dell shipped and at their settings!

WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR BSOD Crashes
I'm getting regular (every hour or so) BSOD crashes with the following details: This was likely caused by the following module: hardware Bugcheck code: 0x124 (0x0, 0xFFFFFA80047BE038, 0xB2000040, 0x800) Error: WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR I run Vista x64 with a 100% stable system that I've extensively stress tested so I know there is no 'real' hardware issue. Am I correct in assuming this is a driver issue? If so, is there any way I can isolate the driver?

Frequent Crashes, BSoD
I recently built a pc for my nephew but had to leave installing windows to him because of a hardware issue (video card was doa, had to ship it back to newegg). Well, we've had problems with it since installing and have even gotten a couple blue screens in the process (error codes below). The first couple of times he tried to install it he had issues where it would freeze mid install (he eventually got through the install by switching to a ps/2 mouse and keyboard instead of usb, for whatever reason this worked). After installing though he said he has had problems with seemingly random crashes. I had him make sure all drivers were installed, but I suspect we are still having some sort of hardware issue (possibly the mobo?). Can anyone help with the blue screen error reports below: Problem signature: Problem Event Name: BlueScreen OS Version: 6.1.7600.2.0.0.768.3 Locale ID: 1033 Additional information about the problem: BCCode: 3b BCP1: 00000000C000001D BCP2: FFFFF960000A9401 BCP3: FFFFF88007D48150 BCP4: 0000000000000000 OS Version: 6_1_7600 Service Pack: 0_0 Product: 768_1 Files that help describe the problem: C:WindowsMinidump

Display Driver Nvidia Kernel
I recently installed windows 7 ultimate and i have some serious issues with it. at first when i installed it, and it booted for the first time into windows i got the BSOD everytime, only way i got passed it was to boot up with driver certification disabled. i was finally able to boot into windows 7. First thing i noticed was that everything responded very slow, if i clicked the start button it took up to 5 seconds for it to respond. still everything acts very slow. so after a while i got the error "display driver nvidia windows kernel mode driver 195.39 stopped responding and has recovered succesfully" so my screen starts to flicker black, and i get the BSOD once in a while. I can't run the performance test because my system freezes up. i tried upgrading/downgrading nvidia drivers, installed direct x disable aero and so on, ive done alot of research on the web but i can't find any solutions to it.
