Nvidia Drivers Cause Black Screen After Login
After DLing the Nivida Vista 64 bit international pack for my 7950GX2 (Stupid Exotic Card XD) when i log in to windows my Screen gos black except for my mouse pointer which i can move around the screen , and Click on things .. i rebooted to safe mode and Rolled back to standard MS drivers but i need to get the Nvidia ones working some applications i'm running are insistent that i have the correct Driver vender ... IÂ saw a post similar to this that said it was refresh rate problem, but then i would not have a Mouse pointer right ? Im Connected to 2 moniters right now , one is DVI only and the other is VGA only Currently i have nothing displayed on the VGA screen. Strange thing i noticed when installing the Nvidia Drivers , on the install screen they Said Windows 7 Drivers have Nvidia already Made Official Win 7 drivers ? or do they just put that there to confuse me ?

Nvidia WHQL Nforce Drivers
I had some problems installing the Nvidia Networking Controller that comes with this package (Device failed to start), so I rolled back to the Microsoft driver. Any help with this would be nice as my Network performance is not what it should be using this driver.

Black Screen After Install Reboot, No VGA Port, No CRT
Seems everyone has alternative video choices but me. I don't have a spare vid card, CRT, and my 8800GT has dual DVI, no VGA. Guess I could try a DVI-VGA converted but I don't see how that would work. I tried the low res option (F8) and I still got a black screen. I can't believe this installed beautifully in VMWare but I can't complete a native install.

On Resume Or After Screen Saver, Resolution Changes And Desktop Background Goes Black
I am running build 7000 (32-bit) on an Intel Core 2 Duo system with an ATI Radeon HD3870 graphics card. In the past week or so, the system has started doing something very annoying. On a resume from standby or hibernate, after waking the monitor up or, rarely, while I am working, the monitor resolution will change from the normal 1680x1050 to 1024x768 and the desktop background will go black (I'm just using the default "Beta" background). If I log out and in again, it will usually reset.A possibly related symptom is that sometimes the monitor will not wake up from going into power save. The system seems to be still running, but no signal is received. Nothing I do with the mouse or keyboard will wake it up and the only fix at that point is a hard restart.I believe that this started when Windows Update installed a new WDDM 1.0 driver. I tried to install the official ATI Catalyst driver for Vista, but it would not install, complaining of lack of device ID in the driver or some such. I've done a lot of searching and haven't found other discussions of this issue. I tried doing a rollback of the driver but I don't think it worked.Any tips or thoughts?

Black Screen - Nvidia 7600 GS
I installed Windows 7 on my desktop 2 days back and came across a problem. As soon as the installation rebooted the machine, I got a black screen with mouse cursor and it stayed like that for hours. Initially I thought that there could be some problem in the installation and so I formatted my disks again and reinstalled the OS. This time too I faced same problem. I looked through some of the forums and people spoke about taking out all the on-board cards and then installing Windows 7. I started by taking my graphics card off, Nvidia 7600 GS AGP -> PNY make, and as soon as I took it out to use my onboard graphics Windows booted properly. Just to try again, I re-connected my graphics card and tried booting the machine which made it crash. For next few restarts it did not boot, even when I removed the gfx card. Finally, I had to use my Win 7 DVD and repair the installation. System started working again but without my GFX card. I tried looking through several forums for this problem but did not find any solution. Can somebody tell me how do I reslove this?

Nvidia GeForce 7600 GS Black Screen Issue
For those with black screens on new install or driver install (not the kind where your monitor shuts down due to loss of signal) My EVGA Nvidia GeForce 7600GS had a relatively minor issue once the Windows 7 driver loaded. When the driver loaded for the first time it recognized that I had two monitors when I only had one connected. It basically extended the desktop to my "real" monitor while the main login page was on the ghost monitor. I initially thought the install failed because the extended desktop at login was a black screen. Once I figured out it was extended, I logged in blindly and right clicked to get my Screen Resolution options and cloned my desktop to both monitors. That solved the problem for the short term. I'm thinking that the driver is realizing that my card has a DVI input and a VGA input and is enabling both even though only one monitor is hooked up.Â

NVidia NForce Network Problems
I hope that's the reason this isn't working... When I start up my computer (Windows 7 Ultimate (not the beta)) My Internet connection thing says it can't connect because I'm trying to link to multiple networks. Well, that would make sense... if I were using a wireless network. I'm using a network cable to router and cannot access my own network. But even that's not the problem. I don't care about my network. I just want to connect to the Internet. Well, to get a quick fix I must disable my network device, and re-enable it. Then it acts as if there was never a problem. Today, before I did that I wanted to see what the problem was, so I opened the status of my network connection. I am receiving all kinds of bytes but not sending any. So then I disable and refresh my network connection and it all works. I fixed this in the beta, but forgot what to do now that it's been 3 months. Can anyone help?

NVIDIA NForce Networking Controller
Upgraded to Windows 7 16 bit last night. My NIC cards worked fine under Vista, can't find any updated drives that would fit with Windows 7. The problem is that I keep losing internet connection. I run the trouble shooting step offered by the default windows options and it basically bounces the NIC and it comes back up, but will drop again in a few minutes. Just adding this to discussion to see if there known driver issues or if this needs to be added to the list.Â

NVidia NForce Ethernet Driver Issues
I had this same issue on the RC but am now getting it on the retail. Windows 7 Pro x64 Asus P5N32-E SLI with nFocrce 680i chipset On RC, if i installed the nForce driver package then my ethernet would randomly fallover under high network activity (only internet would fall, LAN would remain) To fix i would right click network icon in system tray and select troubleshoot problems, this would then fix it. But it did it so often that i ended up removing the nforce drivers and letting windows 7 use its own driver, after which i never had a problem again. Now i'm on retail im getting similar things although now its not happening with high network activity, it just happening randomly. For retail i'm using the brand new nForce v15.51 drivers and its still randomly killing my network connection, but this time everything is falling over, LAN and net. Is anyone else seeing this sort of behaviour when using the nvidia nForce driver package? Its really irritating and i'm very suprised nVidia have still not fixed such a glaring bug.

NVIDIA NForce Network Adapter Problems
I have a problem with my Internet connection on Windows 7 x64 build 7600. My Internet connection is dropping randomly almost every day. I have an Asus M3N H/HDMI motherboard with NVIDIA nForce Network Adapter. I tried numerous drivers (even drivers for Vista x64), disabling IPv6 (with the DisabledComponents registry entry), disabling Receive Side Scaling and many other possible solutions with no luck. I have a high-speed Internet connection through LAN. My IPs are set by the DHCP but I don't have access to the Internet even when the IPs are configured correctly. Sometimes, the DHCP allocates strange IPs like 169.xxx. or 192.168.xxx. , my default being 89.47.212.250 for my IP and 89.47.212.1 for the default gateway. The strange thing is that the connection can work for like 9-12 hours without any drop and the next day I don't have access right after I turn on my PC and it stays down for random periods of time (10 minutes, 30 minutes or hours). Also, if i have Internet access and I disable and enable the adapter the connection is lost but my IPs and DNS are fine. I've uploaded a printscreen with the ipconfig /all command. Hope someone else had a similar problem and solved it.

NVIDIA NForce Networking Controller Issue
Ever since I installed the 64bit Windows 7, I keep losing Internet access. It will be downloading at high speed just fine, and then, I will use the browser, or sometimes just be using the PC, and it will lose the access. I get the yellow warning light. I tell it to troubleshoot the problem, and it will end up resetting the network controller to solve the issue. Then when I stress it again a little later, it dies again (It died because Windows Media Center was searching the hard drives for media files, for example). I was running Window Vista Premium 64bit, previously, without it ever doing this. My CPU is an AMD 64 dual core 4400+ running at 2.30GHZ, on an ASUS M2N-E Motherboard, with 2gig DDR800 memory. The processors are Nvidia nForce 570 ULtra media communications processors with Gigabit LAN controller. I have mutlple hard drives installed, both sata and ide, with heavy duty power supply. Like I said, never had this trouble with XP, or Vista. Is this a driver issue? Is there a problem with Nvidia network drivers under Windows 7? I Hope someone has a solution.

Nvidia NForce 680i SLI MB Ethernet Port Not Detected
I just formatted/installed Windows 7 Home Premium 64. I have, as the topic suggests: Nvidia nForce 680i SLI motherboard I downloaded the drivers from Nvidia's web site for the Win_7_64 drivers for this motherboard, but it will not allow me to install the Ethernet drivers when installing the WHQL download. Has anyone else had this problem? Any idea of how to get my PC back on the intarwebz? Edit: After looking through the .exe with all of the motherboard drivers, I've found that they do include an Ethernet driver, but during the installation, I only have the option of installing the 'Nvidia Storage Driver', none of the other components are even available to be installed.

Installation Issue / Port NVIDIA GeForce 7100 / NForce 630i
ASUS Intel Pentium dual CPU E2220 @ 2.40 GHzMemory 2GBSATA 70GB hard discNVIDIA 7100 / NVIDIA nForce 630i motherboard integrated graphics card. Windows 7 RC installation works fine when using the analog port of the NVIDIA 7100 / NVIDIA nForce 630i graphics card. The same installation using the digital port of the card, works initially, until the first reboot is required. After the reboot the Windows progress bar is displayed, but then the monitor goes blank. The PC appears to beoperational but is inaccessible without the digital port working. The only work around I have found is to install using the analog port and then swap the graphics driver and port todigital after the install of Windows 7 is completed.

Upgrade Issue - Nvidia NForce System Management Controller Needs To Be Updated
I have XP sp3 and trying to upgrade to Windows 7 RC. This PC has a clean install of XP sp3 and every time I do the CUSTOM Win 7 install it gets almost all the way complete and they says installation could not be completed and restores the previous version of the OS. I downloaded Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor and all things "passed" with the exception of: Nvidia nForce System Management Controller" needs to be updated. What is this and how can I update this? Another question is regarding the video card. This pc is using the on-board video connection and does not have a dedicated video card. Could this be my problem? Any thoughts? EVGA Motherboard p/n 112-ck-nf77-a1 Intel Duo Core 2.66 GHZ 1.93 GB of RAM

Nvidia / NForce LAN Issues - Network Unavailable After A Cold Boot
Is anyone else seeing a problem with their Nvidia NForce Mobo LAN when the machine is either booted from cold or rebooted and windows starts up but the network is unavailable.  The problem is intermittent, but I can't quite find any pattern to the problem. I had the same problem occasionally with Windows Vista x64 and I was hoping the problem would be resolved in Windows 7 but alas it’s just happened in Windows 7 x64 for the first time today. Now unlike in Windows Vista, I’ve not installed the Nvidia drivers, its just the drivers that ship in the box with Windows 7. In Windows Vista if I got the issue I could occasionally disable the device from Device Manager, then re-enable it, however sometimes disabling the device would just hang the Device Manager window, so it was pot luck. I’ve not tried working round the issue like this in Windows 7 yet, but a reboot usually fixed the problem. My current mobo is Gigabyte m750sli-ds4 (rev1), however I did also see the problem on my ABIT AN9 32X SLI so it not specifically this hardware and feels more like a software issue? Does anyone have any answers on this particular issue and/or some fix?

9800GT Black Screen Only With Win7/Vista X65 Drivers
I got a Asus P5Q-E Mobo, 8gb ram Having Windows 7 7077 x64 installed for one week and before the upgrade nearly 2 months with build 7000. I bought a new gpu, and replaces my old 8500GTS with a new 9800GT, Problem is, Windows find the gpu, installs standard driver. all fine. Second, Install new Win beta 7 Drivers (was trying new vista x64 drivers too), and i got black screen and lockup half time in install progress and when doing a hard restart right before Loginscreen also. Restart, and windows is doing reset, and old drivers back. Trying to install several times. no luck with any settings or admin settings to install, same problem, black restart black reset, black restart black reset, black restart black reset.... etc etc. Putting back the old gpu, install same drivers, power of, putt new gpu in, and its getting black... What is the problem? I cant find any info in systemlogg either, but the gpu works with standard drivers from windows I hope i havent missed anything Edit: My psu is Corsair 650w, i got 10 HDs, and it uses max 220-260w what i have tested, a bit more while playing (old gpu) I will get a Vertex SSD this week, maybe the problems solves when installing a fresh Windows 7 on it? Otherwise i hope someone knows the issue. Edit2: Updated Bios on Mobo, Adaptec 2405 and Rocketraid 2320, Still same issue. I have noticed that the HD led blinks all the time with that gpu, and its gets very hot... I plugged out the power of my 2x5hds hotswapmodule, so only one hd was active and same error accured, The problems dissapears when i but pack the old gpu.

Nvidia Drivers Overstretch Screen
Ive recently installed windows 7 Ultimate64x and are having troubles with nvidia drivers. What happens is that as soon as either Windows, or myself, install nvidia drivers it over stretches my screen. I tried with the latest drivers (191.07) and the older ones (185.85) with the same issue. I was reading that I should put all resolutions to native (1900x1200) and adjust the screen through nvidia control panel. This I cannot do because the nvidia control panel says I cant adjust it with the kind of signal it is receiving, which is through a dvi to hdmi cable. I manage to stop it from over stretching by uninstalling the drivers and just running a generic windows driver.

Issue With Hz Screen Settings On Nvidia Drivers
Untill today, I can't set my old Siemens CRT screen MCM 2110 MTD to 100Hz - 32bit - 1024/768 (can run 120Hz with WinXPpro!) I run Windows 7 on an old mobo Epox 8RDA3+ with Nvidia 7600GT GoldenSample agp, have tried WDDM1.0, WDDM1.1, 181.22, 182.05 Nvidia Drivers, and only WDDM1.0 works (with poor performances). Mind that the day I installed Seven, everything was running fine and as usual like with WinXPpro (100Hz - 32bit - 1024/768), but after a few updates, my sceen became to flikker and set back to 70Hz. If i try to set 100Hz, i only get 16bit colors. From now, as I have tried several drivers, i think it is only Nvidia ro Microsoft relevant, and not the screen driver as i mannaged to re-create a working Siemens .inf file with moninfo.exe
