View 3 Replies View RelatedI then got a BSOD and my boot disk (an SSD) disappeared from the BIOS. I thought I was in big trouble. I have another controller so I plugged the SSD into the other one and booted to it and rolled back to the MS driver (just for the SATA controller). I then put everything back together.
Everything seems to work now. Do I need to take any further steps to prevent this from happening again? What happened?
Windows 7.build 7000 update
1) download any Drivers Backup software, like DriverMax which is Free
2) boot your Vista or previous Windows 7 which has working Intel drivers and "Export" your video drivers from your Drivers Backup Software, say DriverMax
3) boot to Windows 7.build 7000 and "Import" your drivers in your Drivers Backup Soft, like DriverMax

Needed: Intel® Graphics Media Accelerator Driver for 945 Chipset-Based Intel Desktop Boards
My Device Manager does not show any drivers as missing but I get a very low graphics score on the Windows Index Experience; it is 2.0.
I think that this may have something to do with the "Media Graphics Accelerator Driver" which will not install ("OS not supported" when using setup). I tried the install for Vista (No.7) from this page:- Download Search Results!
I've read posts here and elsewhere that describe migrating drivers with a driver backup util from Vista and pulling them into Windows 7 via Device Manager but I don't have a Vista installation to be able to do that.
I'd like to have a WIE of 3 or more in order to run Aero but my WIE figures are 3.2/4.6/2.0 (graphics)/3.0/5.9. and I can't see that low base-rate of 2.0 disappearing unless I can install the Graphics Media Accelerator (Intel replied to my query with the standard "not our policy to support future technology etc. etc". (ha ha! nice one Intel)).
I was able to get my hard drive today and I installed Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit again. But now there's a problem with one of the drivers.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have an Acer Aspire 7741z-4433 with an Intel(R) Pentium(R) p6200 (2.13 GHz, 3MB 1.3 cache). This only happens to me while I am playing The Sims 3. I have the game set on the lowest quality settings, even though my laptop "claims" to be HD LED, etc. This issue still happens. As you may know I cannot replace the graphics card as it is apart of the motherboard, and to buy a new motherboard with a better graphics card would cost more than a new computer. I have been the my manufacture's website and tried installing an update of the graphics card, and that didn't do the trick either. I am at my wits end, and I just want to play the game without it shutting down and freezing my computer. The reason I know the error is because I do Alt + Tab to get back to the desktop. The way it acts up while I am in game is the screen blacks out but I can still see the software's mouse, and then it blinks a couple times and then freezes completely?

Apparently you have to install under Windows 7, use compatibility mode and select Vista as OS. Can someone please guide me on how to install using compatibility mode ?
I've completed a new custom build, but have had problems with BSOD from the beginning with any installation of Intel Graphics drivers or the installation of any graphics card.
When I first completed the build, the XFX-7950 Black was installed. I booted to BIOS without issue, but when I inserted the Windows 7 (64 bit) it would boot through the windows logo screen but immediately BSOD right after going to the first install screen.
I removed the graphics card, and was able to complete the full Windows install without issue. I updated Windows and the drivers on the system but as soon as I installed the Intel 3000 Graphics driver, it would BSOD on every restart. I recovered back prior to the Graphics driver install and installed all other drivers. I updated the BIOS to the latest version.
I have reattempted the XFX 7950 multiple times in different slots, but with the same results. I also attempted my Radeon HD 4550 from my old computer but it gave the same results. It always boots through the Windows logo screen, but BSOD within a few seconds of reaching the password screen.
I broke down and installed Driver Whiz, which did detect multiple outdated drivers that I had not caught, but none of these fix the issues.
I've attached the requested zip. I don't think all BSOD's are showing up, as I've had to use recovery points after installed drivers didn't work. The last .dmp on 19 JUL was a Intel Graphics driver install attempt that I pulled off in safe mode before recovering back to the pre-driver point.
System:
ASUS P8Z68-V Pro/GEN 3
Intel 2600K
XFX R7950 Black Edition
OCZ 850W
Crucial 128 GB SSD
Seagate Barracuda 1 TB HD
Corsair H100
Windows 7 64 bit (full)
I get an error message saying "Display driver Intel Graphics Accelerator Drivers for Windows XP(R) stopped responding and has successfully recovered." I do, however, have Windows 7 Professional 32-bit. The screen turns black and then flashes white. I can only resume use of my computer if I close out all my chrome tabs multiple times and reopen them.

View 4 Replies View RelatedEvery 5-10 minutes my screen turns black, sort of flashes a bit, and then comes back on in different colours and the windows are all different sizes, but then it changes a bit and goes back to normal. Then I get a balloon message from the task bar saying "Display driver Intel Graphics Accelerator Driver for Windows Vista® stopped responding and has successfully recovered." (screenshot below) For some reason it says "for Windows Vista® but I am on Windows 7. When it has come back to normal again, Chrome goes all funny and the tabs won't switch. So if I try to switch tabs, the top thing is on the tab that I have switched to, but the main screen below stays on what the previous tab was. Also, sometimes the tab becomes unresponsive and I have to either restart Chrome or refresh the tab.
View 13 Replies View RelatedI've been having problems updating my Intel Graphics Media Accelerator driver, 8.15.10.2119. It is the version that prevents Win 7 SP1 from showing up in WU. I read a thread about this very issue from 2011, but the link provided to go to Intel to get the latest driver leads to nowhere. I cannot find a place to go to update the driver. I manually downloaded SP1 and installed it and it is working fine. My question is: do I still need to update the driver, and if so, where do I get it from? Neither HP nor Intel is any help here. And would this driver cause IE9 to crash? The computer came with IE8 on it, but I installed IE9 in Nov. 2011. Shortly after, I was getting a message like "Internet Explorer has stopped working". I uninstalled IE9 and went back to IE8, but I had the same problem there as well. IE8 worked fine until I upgraded to IE9. Then I uninstalled IE8 and changed to IE9, where I still have problems. I have contacted MS Support about this, and one option given was to reformat the hard drive, which I really don't want to do. They were concerned about the fact that SP1 was not offered and hinted that the computer would be more vulnerable to problems without it installed. My firewall and anti-virus have turned up nothing. I use Trend Micro Titanium Internet Security.

View 2 Replies View RelatedThe Intel Accelerated Graphics Driver (Version 8.15.10.1930) is not working properly. I clicked for my computer to apply the fix but it keeps giving me the message to "make sure I'm connected to the internet and to try back later." I am connected to the internet but the fix just won't apply!I thought of removing the driver and then going onto Intel's website and reloading it however I'm afraid that if I uninstall it I'll have even more problems.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI'm unsure exactly how to choose what chipset I want to buy for him. Previously, I just sort of looked at each of my available motherboard options, and chose which one had the requirements I was looking for. However, my friend is on a budget, so I feel like buying a specific chipset might be a better, cheaper option (instead of buying one with the ports that he wants, but with other ports he doesn't need). Is there an easy way to compare the different chipsets? The Wikipedia article is somewhat useful, but also seems to have some inconsistancies (I own a Z68 motherboard with USB 3.0 support, something the Wikipedia article doesn't list). Then again, perhaps this is normal for motherboards,To elaborate on my friend's preferences, he has no need for any integrated graphics, and would be.interested in future-proofing (SATA III, USB 3, PCI-e 3), if the price is right. He'll be buying an Ivy Bridge LGA 1155.
