Mass Storage Controller Driver From Intel 945 Chipset Express
I have a Toshiba Satellite A135-S4499 and formatted and installed Windows7 Ulimate 64 Bit (not Beta) and after the installation completed there was one driver missing. I went to Toshiba's Web Site and downloaded the Windows7 Chipset file named "driver_chipset_intel_TC40059100C" and installed it and the driver was still missing.

I called Toshiba Support and they directed me to the Intel Web Site after they told me they did not support my upgrade.I know that my laptop has the Mobile 945 Express Chipset but I wasn't sure which version. So, I first downloaded the Chipset ID Utility (file name "ChipUtil324) and Ran As Administrator but the executable would not run and kept asking me to "Run As Administrator" even though that was what I was doing.

I then went off on my own on Intel's Web Site and first downloaded Intel Matrix Storage Manager named "IATA89ENU.EXE" and, of course, Ran As Administrator. This did not resolve my missing driver issue.I then downloaded and Ran As Administrator the "InfInst911autoI.Zip". This file also did not lead me to a successful conclusion.My machine is running but in Device Manager I have an Exclamation Point for the Mass Storage Controller.

Lenovo T61 / Intel Mobile Intel 965 Express Chipset Issue
I am seeing two problems, which I suspect are Video Driver related.  After completing the logon sequence, my background and the toolbar are poorly rendered, and large areas are not drawn on the screen.  Once I drag a  window over the background the problem resolves.

Second in any window I open (Such as Explorer, Word Etc) the buttons on the Windows title bar (Application Icon and Control Menu, and the Min, Max, Close on the right) are not drawn.  I can scroll over ant they appear correctly.

I am using a Dual Display in a docking station, with a DVI cable.  However the redering problems appear on both the laptop screen and the digital monitor.

I have tried to find an updated driver (the most recent Vista one won't install, not sure if I can force it with compatability mode).

Device Manaager reports I have the most recent driver (8.15.10.1662 dated 2/20/2009).  Any suggestions or leads on a more recent driver?

Intel 915GM/910GML Express Chipset Issues
After Win Update installed the Intel driver for the Intel 915GM/GMS, 910GML Express Chipset, I have observed some weird behaviour.

When I do NOT have applied external power, the monitor/display turns yellow-white and looks like it only is able to display 3-4 colors. When I apply external power, everything goes back to OK. This even happens if the computer is on and I remove and apply external power.

Mobile Intel(R) 915GM/GMS,910GML Express Video Card Driver
So I have Windows 7 in my computer, and I can't just use the Aero features (including the theme), because it says that my video card driver is not WDDM compatible.

My Video card driver is: Mobile Intel(R) 915GM/GMS,910GML Express Chipset Family

Graphics memory: 128MB

Should I install one another driver? If so, which one? If I try to update, it says that I'm using the latest version of the driver and it's up to date. But it says that I can't use Aero because of my WDDM incompatibility. What should I do? I am REALLY tired and bored with the basic theme (light blue).

Guys, I think that there must be a solution because the Windows doesn't say I can't use Aero.

"The current video card may support Aero with a driver that is compliant with the Windows Display Driver Model (WDDM). Contact the manufacturer of your computer or video card for a WDDM-compatible driver".

Intel 852/855GME On Vga Driver
For the life of me I can not understand why a card that is capable of fairly high performance only installs at 800x600.

While working with the WDK I found that the card does not directly AERO but the vga driver should recognize more of it's capabilities.

Could someone a little more schooled in the Voodo Magic of video drivers please include the full resolution range of the 852/855GME in the VGA Driver in Windows 7.

Intel ICH9 Chipset Driver
I am having a problem with Intel ICH9 chipset diver with a HP pavilion elite M9117c motherboard Asus IPIBL-LB the HP name Benicia-GL8E with Intel Q6700 processor and two HDD using Raid 0 . After install of Windows 7 the device manager had one problem SM Bus Controller not working. Found the latest driver I think with infinst_autol from Intel and installed it in compatibility mode the error in the device manager disappeared but I still cannot access my other hard drive and I do not see my card readers on My computer.

The weird thing about the hard drive is Intel Matrix storage manager tells me the drive states for the drive I cannot see is normal. Not sure I used the right driver Intel does not call this chipset the same as Windows cannot find it on the Intel site the driver I installed fixed error in the device manager but did not correct the problem.                                                                                                                                                            *  Product: Intel(R) Chipset Device Software
*  Release: Production Version
*  Version: 9.0.0.1008
*  Target Chipset#: Intel(R) 4 Series Chipset
*  Date: May 01 2008

Could anyone help maybe with the correct driver or some tweak I need to correct? Or maybe at least what Intel calls the ICH9R chipset.

Intel Chipset Driver Caused BSOD
I then got a BSOD and my boot disk (an SSD) disappeared from the BIOS. I thought I was in big trouble. I have another controller so I plugged the SSD into the other one and booted to it and rolled back to the MS driver (just for the SATA controller). I then put everything back together.

Everything seems to work now. Do I need to take any further steps to prevent this from happening again? What happened?

Intel 965 Video Chipset - Driver Removed Resolution Support
How do we get Intel to re-enable 3840x1200 support for this chipset?

Old versions of the driver that were available for Vista, and that started out in Win 7 Beta supported 3840x1200.  However the recently updated drivers do not.

The chipset supports it, but the drivers disable it.

It's important because it means that my Matrox DualHead2Go adapter no longer drives my dual 24inch 1920x1200 resolution monitors.

I used to be really happy with all my beautiful screen real-estate. I can't find the back-level drivers that work, and I'm stuck using new drivers that disabled a key feature.

My Machine is the Lenovo x61 tablet with Intel Mobile 965 Express chipset.

Intel 945 Mobile Family Compatibility
I've been trying to find out everywhere to see if my graphics card is capable of Windows 7. I'm having a real hard time. My card is Intel 945 Mobile Family.

My brother installed Windows 7 and his card was outdated so now everything is "blurry" and not nice looking. He couldn't downgrade so he bought a Mac. So yeah, I'd try it out on my computer if I could fork out 1k to get a new computer, but I simply can't.

The windows update advisor says that my graphics adapter isn't "supported" with Windows Aero. The requirements state that it needs 128MB, which I believe I have 256.

It's getting annoying that the Windows Advisor says that it's not supported, yet Best Buy is selling my same exact computer with Windows 7 with the same graphics card. I'm conflicted; I don't want to mess up my computer, yet I want Windows 7.

Drivers Problem With Intel(R)82801G (ICH7 Family) USB
My old XP computer expired and I bought a new one pre-loaded with Windows 7 Home Premium. The supplier rescued everything off the old XP hard drive and installed it on the new machine.

The problem: Each time I require to use any device ( printer, digital camera, TomTom navigation ) that connects to the computer by USB, it fails to function and a yellow exclamation appears next to the PC device under “Devices and Printers” and I am invited to troubleshoot.
A message then shows,” There is a problem with the driver for Intel(R)82801G (ICH7 Family) USB Universal Host Controller – 27C8. Reinstalling the driver might fix this problem”

When I select the autofix, the problem is shown as sorted but then another three similarly-described problems appear but showing different driver numbers = 27C9, 27CA and 27CB.

Once all four drivers have been fixed using the Auto fix button, the printer, camera or TomTom device works fine, UNTIL NEXT TIME.

Intel 82801G (ICH7 Family) USB Universal Host Controller - 27C9 Problem
I upgraded from Vista Business x32 to Windows 7 Ulitmate x32.

My USB ports are not working.

When I plug in a USB Hard Drive, thumb drive or card reader, the device gets power from the USB ports, but the device is not installed, recognized or accessible in Windows.

I get the error "Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)" on both:
Intel(R) 82801G (ICH7 Family) USB Universal Host Controller - 27C9
Intel(R) 82801G (ICH7 Family) USB2 Enhanced Host Controller - 27CC

I've tried updating the drivers from 6.1.7600.16385.  Windows says these are the most current drivers.

When I uninstall the drivers and reboot my machine there is no yellow ! error message until I try to plug something in, then the error message appears.

I have a Gateway E155-C.  2GB RAM, Intel GMA video.  945GM chipset.

Intel 82945G Express Video Unsupported
Installed Windows 7. Everything detected except for an issue with the i945G onboard video card.  Does not seem to work.  Stuck using VESA mode which is slow, & low refresh rate giving me slight migraine.  Not fun at all to use like this.

Can't use Windows 7 until a new, fixed Intel video driver is released.

The driver states:

"Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)"
I even installed the Vista driver hoping for a fix but I get the same issue.  Require a new driver from Intel or Microsoft to work with Windows 7.

Mobile Intel 945GM Express Drivers
Hey fellas, I have a laptop with a Mobile Intel 945GM Express chipset family and have just installed the lates drivers from Microsoft for Windows 7 RC, although Intel seemingly don't have official Windows 7 drivers for this chipset yet on their site.

The WINDOWS UPDATE iNTEL GRAPHICS drivers still suffer the same problem as the Intel drivers had when I had Vista, namely the kernel mode system file preventing windows going to sleep, this still happens in Windows 7.  Intel clearly aren't awake here are they? I mean they haven't even addressed that bug in thier vista drivers yet after nearly 2 years, shocking from a company like Intel Eh?

  Anyone else think so to?

Unfortunately Intel announced that there wouldn't be any driver support for 965 chipset series.

I need the audio driver to set up my microphone.
