View 2 RepliesI'm still on Vista x64 SP2 and been having problems trying to install Adobe Flash Player 10.1 since Beta 1 came out and Beta 2 is out today now. It Unpacks then it crashes with D51 Adobe Windows error exactly like Beta 1 did, I have installed Beta 1 on my XP system with no issues at all. I even removed Flash from Programs list. What can I do?

View 2 Replies View Relatedsymptoms: random fps loss here and there during video playback in Internet, as well as flash based games (about 1 or 2 seconds and then goes back to being smooth in what seems to be 20 or 30 second intervals). i'm not sure if this is 100% accurate, but i noticed that fps (frames per second) took a hit after installing sp1 (service pack 1) on windows 7 ultmate 64 bit. i don't know the cause, and i've tried uninstalling and re installing it but no difference. hardware is not an issue, as i just built a new computer with some of the latest hardware.
system specs are as follows:
os: windows 7 ultimate
audio driver: realtek version: 6.0.1.6482 (latest) audio codec: alc892
16 gigs of ddr3 1600 corsair vengeance ram
saphire radeon 6850 hd
western digital caviar black 7200 rpm 1tb
700 watt psu
fx 8150 am3+ 8 cores
asrock 990fx extreme4 am3+ amd 990fx sata 6gb/s usb 3.0 atx amd motherboard
i don't have this issue when i was in windows xp 32/64 bit, and again, symptoms only seemed to start after installing sp1 for windows 7 ultimate 64 bit. broswers tried: ie9, chrome, firefox, safari (safari seems to handle it slightly better, but symptom still present non the less).
I downloaded the Diablo 3 beta client from the official blizzard website yesterday and ever since I started installing it I was able to connect with my wireless but not access any sites whatsoever, (for some reason aim works). I have tried connecting on the same computer with a wired connection and that works and tried using my wireless on another computer and that works. When I try going to any sites in google chrome or try the windows troubleshooter they both give me a DNS error message. So far I have tried:
uninstalling the game
rolling back my wireless driver
updating my driver
reinstalling "wireless console 3" (ASUS wireless program)
running ipconfig/flushdnes registerdns release and renew
scanning with malware bytes (found nothing)
I've got a bit of a problem with the x64 Beta of Windows 7 which has got me stumped. When I tried previous builds (including the x86 version of the Beta) it installed fine on my second hard drive in my laptop (Drive E - I have partitions C: and D: on my main hard drive, which runs Windows Vista x86)
But when I install the x64 version of the Beta on Drive E, after Windows 7 boots (which it does fine) then the drive that Windows 7 is on shows in "Computer" as C: - my D: partition also shows up (and is correct) but my Vista drive does not show at all.
Does anyone know a way around this? When I install 7, I just select Drive E to install on as normal, so not really doing anything differnt, except, of course, you can only install the x64 version by booting off of the DVD - whereas when I install the x86 version, I always start setup from within Windows.
If I could resolve this it would be great - I have no problem with installing 7 again if needs be. I should also mention that Vista still boots fine from C.
I have windows 7 64 bit and I run firefox 3.5.
I Can't find a flash player that works. everywhere I look it won't work. They say that it installs but when I go to a site that needs flash it doesn't work.

View 3 Replies View Relatedi needed to make an clean installation of windows 7 and the only one i could get so fast was one with some programs added already, one of the programs was opera which i didn't like so i uninstalled it with "youre uninstaller 2008" and installed fire fox, so far no problems.
now i needed flash player 10 in order to install norton 2009, so i installed flash player 10 (direct link from the adobe website), but norton still gave me the error that it wasn't installed, i looked up and found this,
don't know if you can see it but flash player tries to install it on my opera folder, which isn't there anymore and it fails then it installs an uninstaller and say's its finished.
so i guess opera has left some system files in my computer so flash player thinks its still there and won't install the right way.
Anyone knows a solution to this problem?
After getting Windows 7 x64 installed, I was having a problem getting the Pandora Gadget to work. It turns out this gadget uses Flash, which only comes in a 32 bit version. The Sidebar is x64, and can't access Flash. I came up with a quick and dirty way to load the 32 bit sidebar instead which allows flash to work! I know there are several gadgets out there that use flash so this should be a fix for all of them.
Edit the following Registry Key:
HKCUSoftwareMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionRunSideBar
Change the key to this: C:Program Files (x86)Windows Sidebarsidebar.exe /autoRun
(The only addition is loading sidebar.exe from c:program files (x86) instead of c:program files)
This should get you by until Adobe gets their act together!

View 6 Replies View RelatedI'm having extremely hard time downloading Flash Player. I recently upgraded my Windows from Vista to 7. I went into You Tube and the Flash Player warning came on You need to upgrade your Adobe Flash Player to watch this video." It also said that I have to download Flash Player, which I did. When I am downloading, the Flash Player is first slow in getting the application. When it does it takes about a minute to begin to install. The red bar begins to fill in the bar, then it stops at 12%. It then shows a timeout word. I took this as the Flash Player had a hard time downloading in the time that is requested. I've done something's that I have thought would speed up the download. I have transferred a lot of important files onto my external drive and deleted the files on my C: Drive.
