Jan 28, 2013
i have a presario 2500 and i try to install win7.After the installation starts i get to a screen when the hdd is not found and asks for drivers. What drivers should i load and how? in order for win7 to find hard disk and start installing?
is there any iso dvd disk which has these drivers preloaded?
Ok, so my XP OS crashed and my friend gave me a Windows 7 CD, I love it so far, except one problem, the audio both lags and echos at the same time, it make listing to anything impossible, here is my computer info:
I have a Presario 2500, it uses a Conexant AC-Link Audio, I have installed the drivers I used in XP, I have tried using headphones, but the problem is still there, if you need any more information please ask, I really want windows 7 to work for me.
i have Compaq Presario CQ40-717TU Notebook PC, the problem is
my netbook support for windows vista, but i want to downgrade it to windows xp, because some school work still using windows xp. I've been surfing everywhere.
I can a lot of tutorials some of which is flash the bios. update bios with its high risk. As for some of them give a tutorial to make your own xp sata, using "nlite" and I became confused when I have to find a suitable driver for ahci [CQ40-717TU].
I'm stuck at a screen installing windows 7 where it says "a required cd/dvd drive device is missing." when i'm trying to install windows 7. I can't see a hdd to select to install windows on.
I upgraded my Compaq Presario V6000 (V6310US) to a Windows 7 Home Premiun. I would like to know if I should install the drivers that came with the original Wiondows Vista installed on it or, should I install specific drivers for Windows 7 instead?
Okay, so I load up the screen, and it says "Windows Error Recovery"Windows failed to start. A recent hardware or software change might be the cause. And it has options for...Launch Startup RepairStart WindowsI tried the Launch Startup Repair, but it gets stuck at the screen, and nothing pops up. Theres just a mouse. And if I hit Start Windows, it all goes well, but then after it starts windows, before I get to the login screen, it quickly flashes to a blue screen with text on it for a few milliseconds, and then just goes ALL the way back to the Windows Error Recovery
I'm not sure if this belongs in Drivers or here, but I'm having an issue with the video drivers on my laptop. It's an HP Compaq Presario V6000 series,v6205 according to the limited tech support I received. The laptop was purchased in '06 and originally ran Windows Vista, however I upgraded to Windows 7 Ultimate 32bit a couple of days ago, and have had an issue finding compatible drivers, namely a driver for my nVidia graphics card. HP's website has the drivers for XP and Vista, but want to charge me to get 7 compatible drivers (59.99 for a one-time use). I've read on other forums that it is possible to take the non-manufacturer drivers and modify the .INF files to work, but I'm inexperienced with that sort of stuff. The card is an nVidia GeForce 6150. If there are any other details I've left out, I'd be happy to add them. EDIT: In the event that I can't secure the proper drivers, does anyone know if Linux is an option for such a machine? Or would the same driver issues be present?
I am trying to install Windows7 as I did earlier but now I m getting an error "Cant install on this disk Pls use another"...Now how to check whether my hard drive has gone bad or any other issue.
