Jul 21, 2011I'm visiting my parents for the summer and I brought my laptop with me and the wireless was working fine for the first month or so. One random day it stopped working and will not connect. I called dell support and for some reason it just started working when I was on the phone with him, but for the next couple of days it would connect for awhile then not connect 15 minutes later. It's not the router because it won't connect to other networks, the dell support guy says its not the hardware (everything in the device manager says its fine also), It works when the ethernet cable is plugged in, I installed all the latest drivers for the network adapter (Intel Wifi link 1000 BGN), I installed a registry fix program and for a little bit it was working with some networks, but only limited access.

Windows Photo Viewer gives an error message saying the pic files cannot be opened because the software "can't support the file or needs updated". Photo Gallery says the pic files "may be unsupported, damaged or corrupted" and Paint says, file is "not a valid bitmap file" or the format is not currently supported. And then lastly, my 2007 Office Picture Manager gives no error message and displays only a simple red "X" in the middle of the screen.

Mar 15, 2012I've had my laptop Dell INSPIRON N5030 for about a year.It was working fine up till now but when I boot it up it gives me a windows recovery error.It says: windows failed to start. a recent hardware or software might be the cause.When I choose the launch start repair, it just gives me the windows screen with the mouse and nothing happens.Then if i choose load windows normally, it will just go to the loading screen then it'll stay there for a while then go back to the windows recovery error.I've also tryed to reboot the hard drive by pressing F12, but it won't let me it just puts me back on to the windows recovery error screen.

Nov 29, 2009I'm running Dell Inspiron 1525 Windows 7 64-bit and having problems with my beatuful dell touchpad, which works just fine except horizontal and vertical scrolling. I have already read some materials on the web and have downloaded of couble of useless stuff but the problems hasn't gone. I like my Dell Inspiron 1525, but the 64-bit drivers really suck.
On another partiiton I'm running SuSE and it looks much better than Windows 7.
