HP Photosmart Printer Is Not Properly Compatible When Networked
I'm using Windows 7 beta 64-bit. I have a Photosmart 2575 All-in-One, and when connected over the network installing the drivers is difficult. Windows can see it on the network, but cannot automatically install it and shows you the list of drivers Windows can install. The 2500 series driver is not there.
I tried using HP's installer for Vista 64-bit, and all seemed to go well until the installation tried to detect the printer on the network and failed.
So, I tried again to install it using Windows and chose the 2600 series driver and everything appears to work. Even so, something is wrong since the HP installer won't work and the printer isn't really a 2600 series.

Networked Printer Not Printing Unless Restart Spooling
I have a Windows 7 x64 RC.7100 build installed and have configured my HP printer using Vista x64 drivers, it prints locally just fine. However I tried to setup printer sharing with my x32 Windows XP laptop and have an issue that is really a pain. Whenever I print from the XP machine I get the print job in the queue on the Win 7 machine, but it just says printing for an infinite amount of time. I have to either restart my Windows 7 machine or go into Services and Print Spooling and Restart Service for the print job to complete. I found a similar error/problem with Vista but all of the suggestions did not help. The only thing I can think of is that there is some driver incompatibility, but HP states on their website that they wont have "official drivers" for Windows 7 until Oct 22.

The HP Solution Center software that comes with the printer do NOT work in Windows 7. The scanner function is unusable, but the printer function seems to work as usual. Checked the HP web site for drivers/software patches, but there were none.

HP Photosmart C7250 Printer
I've read all the other threads in reference to printer problems but to no avail. I have tried ALL of the trouble shooting and followed them out. The printer worked right after win 7 install but then decided that it did no longer would converse. The HP side of things stated that it did not recognize the operating system. I have tried updating drivers and firmware which didn't work. I tried using the Windows wizard which was going well until I tried to print a test page. Nothing printed.

HP Photosmart 2575 Printer Driver
I began to add programs and printers and when I added my HP Photosmart 2575 and then its Vista drivers. I then made another backup of the what I had added to that point. I now get a 9F stop on shutting down after I have done something with the printer as simple as printing a page. I restored to the original installation and added the Photosmart using only the RC's driver. All is well under that setup and would like to go back to the second backup and uninstall the Vista drivers and use the RC's drivers but can't find any way to roll back the driver to RC one. If I try 'New Driver', the system seems only to find the Vista driver. How can I delete the Vista driver from my system so that I have only the RC drivers?

Drivers For HP Photosmart P1000 Printer
The only problems I have had so far with Windows 7 RC Build 7100 is trying to get my printer to work. I finally got the Photosmart a522 to work by installing the driver in Vista compatability mode. I have tried with the P1000 in XPÂ and Vista Mode but none works. WIndows 7 recognizes the printer and even installs the printer but it will not print. The printer is connected with a USB cable. To try it as a parallel printer. I will bring a cable home tomorrow and try that. It has always worked on USB Though. Any further ideas?

HP Photosmart C4500 Printer Driver
I have tried to install the HP Photosmart C4585 Wireless Printer to my laptop, while Windows 7 has a driver it seems that the Printer cannot be found even after it is installed using the installation wizard. Is this just because I am using the release candidate or is it a greater problem that needs to be addressed prior to the final release? I have not tried attaching the USB cable to the laptop as that would defeat the purpose of the trial.

Compatibility With HP 3310 Photosmart Printer / Scanner / Fax
I have a HP Photosmart 3310 all in one printer / scanner / fax. Since downloading the Windows 7 RC, the printer (networked through a Netgear modem / router) has stopped working (printing) on all three networked computers. I have tried reinstalling the HP software (which does not work fully with the Windows 7 RC) but this does not work. Tried all the usual steps of turning printer on and off, swapping Ethernet cables around in the back of the netgear. Comparability between the Win 7 and the printer seems to be the problem. Have downloaded the HP software for Windows Vista.

HPÂ Photosmart P1000 Printer Driver Problems
I have an HPÂ Photosmart P1000 printer, which alas no longer seems to be supported by Windows 7. However, I have read that the HP DeskJet 940c driver is compatible. This is not listed under "add printer", but I understand that all I need to do is run "windows update" from the printer installation process. So far, so good. Unfortunately, I repeatedly get "Windows was unable to get a list of devices from Windows Update. Please try again later". Well there was one occasion when it DID work, and I saw the HP 940c listed, but unfortunately was sitting at another computer on my home network (also running W7RC1)Â at the time. Since then, I have failed on both computers to update my printer driver list. HP are no help. Their website tells me to download the drivers from Windows Update, so I am stuck. On principle, I refuse to buy a new printer, even though I've now spent hours on this!

Epson Stylus Photo RX585 Printer Not Compatible
I had problems with PC shutting down after installing W7. After lots of troubleshooting removing apps and drivers and trial and error, it seems the problem lies with the epson stylus photo RX585 printer. If the printer is left switched on when you try to shutdown the PC, the system just hangs but if the printer is switched off before you try shut down it works great. I am using the driver that was supplied with W7. I tried Epson's own x64 driver but I had the same problems with that as well. Does anyone else have the same problem or possible fix for this .

But file access just comes up with error 0x80070035 'the network path was not found'. All the computers can access the Windows 7 computer and read files ok. All the computers are on the same workgroup, Nothing been changed on any other computer as it all worked before this upgrade! Tried disabling the firewall, set to Home network, no homegroup set. The original vista drive which I 'ghosted' before I upgraded to 7 still works with full access to all networked computers.

The windows 7 machine has a static ip set. I should also not I can ftp into the HDX and I can ping it and get replies.
