HP Pavilion Dv5t Laptop Display Scrambled
I have been using Windows 7 since 9th Jan. 2009. I use a HP Pavilion dv5t Laptop. The problem is that the display is scrambled sometimes. I am not sure why this happens or when this happens.

I just installed Windows 7 Beta on my HP Pavilion dv5t and notice that my quick launch buttons don't work at all. The mute button does work, but does not turn orange when muted (like it did in Vista). I can only tell that it is muted because of the mute symbol that appears in the systray. The volume and WiFi buttons work correctly in Windows 7. I have tried installing some of the HP drivers, but no help. Anyone have any ideas?

Extended My Laptop Display To Other Laptop Display?
I am very curious to know how to connect a laptop display to another laptop display. I have an old laptop and a new laptop with windows 7. I did some extended displays to other monitors. But any one have any idea about extending to a Laptop display from another Laptop. I am just curious. Is it possible??

Display Problems - HP Pavilion Dv6810us
I have a HP Pavilion laptop (dv6810us). It's about 1.5 years old, so it came w/Vista. I currently have it dual booted w/7 Premium, and everything works fine except for the display. In the Vista boot, i get 1280x800, very clear. When i boot into 7, it says it displaying the same resolution, but it looks horribly fuzzy, and the icons are larger. I've tried all display/control panel options thus far, and i've ensured that i have all settings to their highest level. I've searched HP's website for compatible 7 display drivers, but nothing has been released. Is it that my laptop simply cannot handle 7?

HP Pavilion Dv9000 Laptop Driver For Base System Device
I just installed Windows 7 Beta on my HP Pavilion Dv9000 laptop and everything is working really well, but in device manager I have 2 items listed under Other Devices that say Base Sytem Device. I am assuming I need some kind of driver for them, but I am not sure how to tell what they are or what driver they will need. How do I figure this out? If I get the properties of these devices under the general tab I see Device type: Other device, Manufacturer: Unknown, and Location: PCI bus 9, device 9, function 3.

No Display / Video Driver For Vaio Laptop
I installed Windows 7 on a Vaio VGN-NR260E laptop running Vista Home Premium, inside a virtual machine (Virtual Box.) The only problem so far is that it doesn't have the right drivers for my display/video card (the res is currently 1024x768 instead of the native 1280x800), and Sony doesn't have plans to create those. They said that Microsoft is the one developing drivers at this time. I heard this talk before, and it surely will be an obstacle to overcome, as I won't install it permanently to replace Vista unless everything works as should, and it also doesn't allow me to test several other software and hardware with the basic VGA driver installed. Is there a possibility that this is a limitation due to it be running 7 on a virtual machine? Or will I depend on Microsoft developing drivers for my laptop at some point? Is there a place to send requests, or does anybodyknow of an alternate driver for my case?

Display Issue With HP Laptop On Switch Box
I am having difficulty with the display chaging when I flip from my new windows 7 laptop to my other machine on the switchbox. Wehn I flip off of the HP latptop, it appears that it recognizes the internal screen and changes the display. When I flip back, it does not switch back to my monitor display unless I "detect" it. It gives me a funky looking display on the monitor that appears to be the config on the laptop display. Nothing else exists online for this type of problem, please assist.

Display Forgetting Laptop Resolution On Sleep
I have installed W7 RC on my laptop. I can set the display resolution manually without issue, however if I make my laptop sleep, when I wake it it comes up in 800x600. Native resolution is 1200x800. I have no issue if I shut the laptop down, then turn it back on. I have also found if i right click the desktop and select "Screen Resolution" from the drop down menu then click "Detect" it corrects the display resolution for me. I did not have this issue with Beta, only with RC... Anyone able to assist? I have not tried uninstalling the display adaptor yet, or re-installing the driver. i have however updated windows including optional updates (Not the languages!)

W7 Extends My Display Everytime I Close My Laptop's Lid
I have a ThinkPad T400 and I'm dual-booting Vista and 7 (but I only really use 7). In 7, when you press Windows+P, you get 4 display options: Computer Only, Duplicate, Extend, and Projector Only. Since I just have one laptop screen, I obviously want Computer Only. But every time I close the lid (or restart), it reverts back to an Extended display, which means when I move the cursor to the right of the screen to use a scrollbar, close a maximized window, or desktop peek, I have to be precise or else the cursor will fly off the right side of the screen into my non-existent extended display. Any ideas to fix this?

Help In Win 7 Becomes Scrambled
I installed windows 7 on over 100 systems in a school lab networkand all was good including the help system.But after connecting to the internet to activate, the help system now looks and behaves funny. I lo longer get answers to questions I type, images are missing and I see the string "__elbauser__" a number or times in the help text.Please does anyone know anything I could have done wrong?

HP Quick Launch Buttons / DV5T 1200SE
I have HP DV5T-1200SE It came with vista installed and when i pressed the volume buttons on top of the keyboard a gray bar used to come indicating the volume, but when i installed Windows 7 the gray bar is not coming, even though the buttons function properly(that is volume goes up and down) (pressing the volume touch button increases the volume, but does not display the volume slider window on the screen) I even installed the latest HP Quick launch buttons Windows 7 driver: HP Quick Launch Buttons HP Pavilion dv5t-1200se CTO Entertainment Notebook PC - HP Customer Care (United States - English)

Scrambled Desktop Icons
I use the extend feature on my laptop with a second monitor. The only thing on the second monitor's desktop is a couple gadgets and sticky notes, NO icons. I keep all my desktop icons on the primary screen. However, whenever I disconnect my second monitor and take my laptop somewhere, I always turn my computer on to find all my icons randomly bunched up on the left side of the screen. Can anyone help explain/fix this?

Aero Background And Title Bars Scrambled
When I turn on Aero settings my desktop wallpaper is scrambled along with title bars of applications. Everything else will work fine for a bit, but after a while it 'crashes' and Aero is automatically turned off. The card I'm using is the ASUS SILENT Radeon HD 3650. I've searched the threads and solutions to no avail. One member has a similar issue and solved it by switching motherboards (started with a SIS 648 chipset). Unfortunately I only have a SIS 648 chipset motherboard available. Has anyone else experienced this and found a solution? I've attached screenshots of the effects described.

the display/monitor uses the generic driver for display and it is 1024×768 or 800x600 but it looks very odd it should be bigger because my screen is bigger. I have a acer monitor but is there something I can download to fix the display size?

Extended Monitor From Laptop Doesn't Default Laptop When Unlocked
I have my HP 8530 docked on an HP docking station which has an external monitor connected to it. I extended my desktop between the 2 and made the external monitor the primary display. When i un-dock the laptop it does not auto change this and make the laptop screen the default again so all i can see is the extended portion of the laptop. Is this a feature or a glitch?

HP Pavilion A810n Drivers
I just installed Windows 7 Ultimate onto my HP Pavilion a810n, but cannot get the XP drivers to work with it. I really only need the network driver to work so I can access the internet. I have tried extracting the drivers to a folder and tried to add it using the "device manager" manually but that does not seem to work. It would also be great to get the motherboard audio/video drivers to work. Not that important since I have an external sound card and an ATI All in wonder Video Card.
