HP PSC 2510 All In One

SPECS:

- Windows 7 RC - build 7100 Ultimate x64
- HP PSC 2510 All-In-One

ISSUE:

Windows 7 does not have an out-of-the-box driver for the HP PSC 2510.

Windows 7 does have a generic driver for the 1500/1600 series (which works with the PSC 2510) but only supports basic printing and does not support Scanning & Faxing capabilities of the PSC 2510 device.

The official HP PSC 2510 driver + printer tools download (Vista x64 - almost 500MB) do NOT install on Windows 7 RC, even in Vista /SP1/SP2 compatibility mode.

RESULT:

Only basic printing functionality of the HP PSC 2510 is available on Windows 7 RC.
All advanced scanning and faxing capabilities are lost on Windows 7 RC.

REQUEST:

Please provide out-of-the-box support for the HP PSC 2510 All-In-One printer, including printing, scanning and faxing.

Samsung Ml-2510 Printer Driver
I have a Samsung ML-2510 that I recently purchased and I can not get it to work with Windows 7.  I have tried the xp driver and the Vista driver running in vista compatibility mode as an administrator and have had no success.  The reason I bought this printer was because my older hp deskjet 3745 would not work with Windows 7 and it had no vista driver so I ran it in compatibility mode and it also did not work.  Both these printers work fine in xp mode.  I would like help with the samsung primarily but also with the hp.

Samsung ML-2510 Printer Problem
I tried searching this before couldn't find a thread with the issue I have...

1) Windows 7 64bit has a Samsung ML-2510 USB printer installed

2) I shared the printer in Windows 7

3) x64 drivers are installed but could not installed x86 drivers. It keeps saying the driver is not for the processor architecture (using the driver I used for WinXp)

4) In Advanced Sharing Options, I enabled Sharing and disabled password. I only have one account with no password, on Win 7 Machine.

5) Windows Xp laptop is a work machine and part of a domain, so I can NOT change the workgroup to "Workgroup"

6) Tried installing the printer using Win7MachineSamsung command in Winxp run dialog

7) Printer windows opens up showing "Initializing" and then get 'ready'

8) NOTHING happens when I try to print a test page.

Is there a way I can use the printer? I used to be able to print without any problem, when I was on XP.

Driver HP Psc 2355
Need driver for driver hp psc 2355 windows7.

Answer:-

A full feature software and driver package for Windows 7 is not available for your product. However, the Windows 7 operating system installed on your computer contains a basic driver solution for your product.

The basic driver in Windows 7 is enough for printing from a software program, scanning documents, and importing and viewing images on a memory card. Also, using your All-in-One Product, you can fax a printed page.

HP PSC 1210 Printer Without Paper
I don't know if it is the result of the driver, or how Windows 7 RC deals with printers, but I don't get the notice when my HP PSC 1210 all-in-one printer is out of paper that I did on previous versions of Windows.

Yes, I can figure it on myself, but that means I have to go and reset the printer manually, which is not a big deal, but it results in one less feature available for my printer. This would be much more annoying if the printer was on a network, since you would not know the printer is out of paper unless you checked.

HP PSC 2210 Printer Not Working
just recently purchased a laptop with Windows 7 on it. I'm still finding my way and am currently trying to make my older HP PSC 2210 All-in-one printer work. When I plugged in the USB cable, it didn't recognize the printer or load any drivers (as far as I could tell). I tried using the disc that came with the printer but got a message saying it wasn't compatible with the OS.

If I go into the Devices and Printer screen, the laptop shows there but with a checkmark saying it needs troubleshooting. I've tried and tried the troubleshooting screens, but nothing seems to help. I have tried the "work around" for installing the basic printer driver, but that doesn't seem to do anything. What am I missing here? I'd sure like to be able to use this printer as there's nothing wrong with it except being "old"!

HP PSC 1610 Printer Sharing
i cannot seem to get my Printer sharing ( Using HP PSC 1610 ALL-IN-ONE). My printer is connected through usb on windows xp 32bit and want to share printer on windows 7 x64bit windows vista x32bit.

Ive set up the sharing part on xp and windows 7 side, but i cannot seem to connect it. The problem may be that whenever i click on x64 driver to install ( I click sharing in my printer (HP PSC 1610 ALL-IN-ONE ) and click additional Drivers and tick x64 and click next it prompts me to install the driver using a cd..ive tried windows vista 32bit windows xp 32bit windows 7 x64 bit..no luck).

So i try moving the printer on windows 7. It installs the drivers x64bit one, The version is HP PSC 1600 SERIES VERSION 6.1.7600.16385 installed on 64bit as it says in Administrative Tools > Print Management > Printer servers > Comp name( Local) > Drivers and it says x64 and if i wanna add a driver it still ask me for a cd when i tick x32bit driver.

Ive tried so many methods to connect my printer over lan..Local port etc nothing works.

Can someone give me instructions on how to fix this so i can share printer over my network.

This is the part i get stuck on..when i click on x86 or x64 it ask for driver..so if my printer was ocnnected to windows 7 x64 bit i needed to install x86 so it would work on xp and Vice versa

HP PSC 1315 DOESN'T WORK
I've installed Windows 7, and after all, I started to install all my system devices. No problems at all. But I stuck with a problem on my printer HP PSC 1315 All-in-one.

HP has a driver for Vista (32 and 64bit), and since I'm using Windows 7 x64 I tried to download the 64bit driver for Vista, as long as the system looks like the same. Well, the HP software doesn't start. It says an error cause is not developed for that system. So, I plugged in the usb cable and turned on the printer to see if Windows has a driver for it. It seems to be working, no undetected or not installed software. The printer is working fine, and the scanner is installed, but couldn't be found from any program.

Tried Photoshop CS4 64bits, there's no option there, and from many many others. I remember that on Vista, it installs normally with a basic driver from Microsoft. Anyone having the same problem with all-in-one printers from HP or this exactly one and may help? I tried lot of things, no success at all.

HP PSC 1200 Multifunction Printer / Scanner
The XP driver for this was pretty good for a typical cumbersome driver from HP. The Vista/Windows 7 driver works minimally and the control panels look great but:

1. Normal vs. Fastdraft print selection results in terrible low density quality.

2. Can't change the default printer selection.

Error 80070005 When Update HP PSC 1410 Printer Driver
I've been trying to use my printer for the past week without any luck. I had updated from Windows Vista, where it worked, but I no longer have such luxury (hah). It's an HP PSC 1410. The 1400 series drivers on windows update are what I'm having trouble with.

I uninstalled and reinstalled the HP drivers for vista, then tried installing the updates from Windows Update...which also didn't work. I tried completely removing everything to do with HP, then installing the update, and it didn't work either. I keep getting error 80070005 during the installation.

I've troubleshooted a bit...here's what I've done.

Tried in safe mode.

Turned off firewall and NOD32.

Closed all programs during the update.

Downloaded subinacl.msi and made & ran a reset.bat DOS file.

Tried installing with the printer on and off.

Tried a system recovery to before all of this happened.

I haven't once been able to print since I've had Windows 7 installed, but the scanner works fine.

Windows detects it, but can't install it.  I really need to print some things...if anyone knows a way to install this, or to somehow set up a generic printer driver to get around this, it'd be greatly appreciated.
