I am using Windows Live Mail and just recently I am unable to forward e-mails with photos in the body of the e-mail. Trying to forward, I get a warning that 1 or more pictures cannot be found. Do you want to send anyway?I can copy the photos and put them in a new e-mail and they forward as slide shows. A message is rereived that the photos will be available on Skye.com until---.

what sucks about Windows Live Mail is that Micosoft "simplied sending photos without clouging one's inbox" That did away with attaching photos in body and replaced with the annoying variations of a photo album. The majority of folks now have highspeed so clouging and inbox is not really an issue. I want to send emails and attach photos to the message (and see the photos I recieve) just like how it used to be in Outlook Express.

Error message is "problem with live movie maker". Same error message on all emails with photos.I have reinstalled windows essentials - windows live movie maker and windows live photo gallery. HI'm using windows 7 home premium,I have a samsung ML 1660 laser printer installed and set as default.Now over the last day or two I'm unable to print out my emails from Windows live mail,Its been working well.Did a system restore to try a fix also tried microsoft Mr Fixit but no luck. Also when I look in devices and printers folder it shows up the printer with a tick showing default,Then beside that there is a greyed out printer of the same with 'copy 1' underneath it. I can't imagine I can be the only one with this problem !! I have just purchased a new PC running Windows 7 and wanted to inport my backed up emails from Outlook Express which are on a hard drive in .dbx files.When I go to the drop down list in Windows Live Mail and click Import Messages a box appears and says select the format you want to import emails from and it lists Microsoft OE 6, Windows Live Mail and Windows Mail. I click the OE option and then next then a box about the location of messages appears. I click browse, find where the messages are and click next.A window opens and asks me to select folders and I select All folders (although I have tried a single folder without success) and then click nextA small box opens and I can see the folders being imported. When finished a window opens and says import complete and the messages are in Microsoft OE formatWhen I go back into Windows Live Mail in the Storage folders there appears a file called Imported Folder but when I open it there is nothing in there.
Mhy question is am I looking in the right place for the imported emails or have I missed something.I know the emails are on the hard drive and it says it is importing them but I don't know where.........I have looked on the desktop and in a couple of other locations but no joy.Apparently you can but a prog that opens .dbx files and displays them in an OE style. It is FreeFile Viewer but free it isn't.
I've reinstalled windows many times in the past and have always used the 'import/export' option for my email folders and accounts, and it's worked flawlessly everytime. Until now.
Accounts were imported correctly, and Live Mail is sending and receiving email since the reinstall, but all my saved email is not showing up in any of the folders. It looks like it loads them from my saved files (the box pops up showing them being transferred) but after it finishes the folders are empty.
I even just now tried to copy/paste them into one of the mail folders manually (had to google to find the pathway to them in explorer) and still they don't show up.
I don't have a clue as to what is going on with this.
Followup: I just noticed some 'imported folder' at the bottom left side and all my files are in there, which is fine I suppose, but why didn't they go into the current folders?
I have been receiving duplicated e-mails over 50,000. As it never stops the incomings, I can not send e-mails out. Please help me to solve this issuewWithout deleting my original e-mail address.

When I opened it up again, it recoverd the folders and messages in the Storage folder, but when I try to view or read the messages they actually link to one of only three messages. Messages in the top 3 folders link to one, the next two to another, and the rest to another.The Message List looks fine, with the subject and sender showing correctly. It's just that I can't read the messages.

But I've tried searching the forum, and couldn't find a relevant thread.My issue is this. When I'm writing a new email in Windows Live Mail, like most careful users I like to save the text every now and then. It's an instinct borne of hard experience of losing data, which can happen any time with any software. I just automatically click Cltr-S periodically without even thinking about it.Unfortunately, it appears to me that every time I do this in Windows Live Mail, the program creates a new copy of my current draft email in the relevant Drafts folder. If it's a long email, or one I'm phrasing with extra care, I can end up with maybe ten or fifteen nearly identical drafts cluttering up the folder!This behaviour seemed so bizarre when I noticed it that I trawled through the settings, looking for a way to override it, but I can't find any reference. Am I missing something obvious? I must be.
In Outlook Express (sorry to dredge up that familiar phrase), when you do what I've described above, the software behaves logically, and simply resaves the amended draft email each time over the previous version, so that you never have more than one draft copy at any time - which is how nearly all word processors also work. Surely that's how Windows Live Mail should behave too? I realise there might be occasional instances where you would want two different versions of a draft, but surely these instances are far outnumbered by the times when you just want to save a single copy incrementally as you write it?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a problem getting Media Center to display my Photos showing the individual photos contents of each folder.I am running Windows 7 HP 64 bit with all updates. My MEDIA (movies, music & photos) are on a separate hdd (M). Each of the media formats has it's own folder on the M drive, Movies, Music & Photos. I have no problem with the movies or the music. However, when I choose "pictures" in Windows Media Center only the individual photos folders are shown....no photos are shown in these folders. I see the individual folders but no contents. I have set up "Libraries" on the C: drive; Music, Video & Photos. When I click on photos in the "Libraries" all the photos folders are show each with it's own photos. I have "Shared" these libraries as well as each folder on the Media drive M. The format of the individual photos is jpg. I have run SFC/Scannow.
